I love watching these types of videos. Watching something come to life that was in someones head is fascinating! You explained it very well, but to someone who doesn't know all the lingo of what you were using, the beginning was a bit tricky to follow. I did catch on though! Well done friend
congrats on help someone making their first "propper thumnail". not sure if you will see this but thanks. trying to edit the facial features on survivors is a pain but thanks
Thanks for this video. Never even knew about the steam selections for characters etc. Really can’t wait to try out some new thumbnail designs tomorrow now! Thanks again definitely enjoyed the video
Thank you!!! this is gonna help me alot, i was wondering how i can make my own thumbnails and i was scare thinking it will be very hard to a beginner and you explained it very good
I really enjoyed this video! excellent work I must say! I was also wondering if you'd ever thought of making an instructional video on how to make a youtube video/commentary like this one? The reason I ask is because I play Dead By Daylight, and I want to start edit youtube videos of this game; focusing on guides and maybe even some highlights videos where I use some of the clips from the stream etc. Have a great day!
Thanks for this video I was wondering how its done. That being said I am contractually obligated to say "spirit is braindead easy mouthbreather mode" everytime I see her.
hey! this might be tough for u to find but do u know where you found the bubba workshop model? i cant find one no matter how much ive looked. ive searched everything with no luck
So... I downloaded the Kate Denson model from CozyChicken, and I want her Biker look. I can change everything but her hair, and there is no way of getting a hold of Cozy and Idk where to go to ask, how do I change her hair to the Biker one? I see no option.
after 30minutes i have given up. even without your video i cannot do it. When exporting as movie i cannot implement it into my thumbnail program. my head explodes!
So...I was watching this to try and make a better thumbnail but I cannot do anything with the Huntress, it does not let me move her at all and half her body ends up within the floor and I cannot reposition the camera or zoom out
There is a camera button to the right hand side. Be sure that is selected. Click in the 'window' where your scene is and use WASD to move the camera around Lastly, rewatch the video. It discusses the rotation and transform tool, and being clicked into the middle button on the timeline Not being in that middle button means nothing will move
On Gimp, select the picture you added from Source film maker, right click and make sure "Add Alpha Channel" is selected so that once you delete it, the green screen will also get deleted
DyllonKG thank you so much man. One more question if you don’t mind me asking is there anyway to make my green screen way more long so it covers up the scene? And also how can I move the object around? Thank you man!
@@Savage_Gamer777 In terms of making a larger green screen, im not sure. You can always pull it closer to your object or spawn multiple green screens. In terms of moving it around, refer to the prior suggestion. The transform tool (the 2 arrows crossed) tool has to be selected and then you have to have the middle timeline button selected. Once youve done that youll be able to look at the base of any DBD model and you should see a green arrow, a blue arrow and a red arrow. Click and drag those arrows and youll get movement. This goes for green screens as well etc
Was this helpful!? Did I miss a step??? Let me know!
How do u put the green screen in?????????
i need help i can not find dbd characters
how do i change the cosmetic the model is wearing
Hun I wouldve appreciated being shown where to find everything you're using. I'm lost
Thank you so much for this, I just have one problem I cannot find the fine models workshop.
I've always wondered how people made thumbnails with the 3D models but never got any answers so thank you :)
Dude my brain has never exploded as much as it just did. Always wondered.
I always wondered how dbd youtubers make really good thumbnails, I really appreciate it man. You earned a sub

Wait... I can do this on steam? Nice!
Edit: And it's free? Oh my god I must have died and gone to heaven, let me tell ye
I wish I had a pc to make thumbnails like this
How do I find the characters in the work shop along with green screen. I can’t find anything
thanks man this is a gamechanger for me
As helpful as this is, there's legit no greenscreens to get on the SFM workshop page and the one that's there is outdated.
Thanks for this video I was wondering how its done.

I dont disagree lol
@@DyllonKG subbd for being chill :)
Always the chillesssst. Lol. Thank you my friend!
This is very useful! Now I can make better thumbnails. Thank you so much!
Love this thank you! Beat me to asking.

Also most of my models I load are saying error
Can someone help me, whenever I delete after grow, my backround is white

What do you use for thumbnails
@@DyllonKG i use photopea. When i tryd exporting it as a image it wouldnt save anywhere…
Once the thumbnail is created, how do u link it to your gameplay video to upload it to your channel??
I think they deleted all the models

does it still work?
how do i get rid of the camera line across my screen it follows me
Thank you!!
How do you zoom it on certain parts of the model? I can grab and move the camera but from a fixed posotion
WASD moves it
@@DyllonKG they don’t do anything for me bro. I didn’t realise you made this video. I remember your profile pic from Twitter the other day
You have to click into the work window and use WASD, if it doesn't work then something is up
plsss this applikasi edit photo?
does steam have something for mac?
I honestly am not sure my friend
@@DyllonKG no problem, thanks for the reply!
I don't see no workshop.
so how exactly do I download the character models?
Literally just go to Source Film Maker on steam, go to the workshop, and download them...
@@DyllonKG Sorry when I did that it said half of them were errors. So I just wanted to clarify
Oof let me know what the errors were
@@DyllonKG it was the character models from CozyChicken. A lot if them just say error when I use it. Some do work tho

program´s name?pls
i cant rotate no model parts): wont come up for me
Gotta click the rotate button, and click the center button on the timeline
Check 1:18 and be sure the buttons you have pressed look like mine
