But why? Its literally just a simple process and doesnt need all those effects or memes or whatever. 5 minute video stretched out into 14 minutes, of course it took awhile to make.
@@DrummerJacob It is entertainment value for zoomers. For me personally it is hard to concentrate being cut in half by memes and cutscenes every minute but some people watch it for entertainment as well not only the tutorial so I can understand
@@NarutoUzomaki65 I know :) Im a amateur RUclipsr as well so Ive considered all the angles and markets you might want to cater to, but this is more of a cultural thing. I feel like more and more entertainment is moving toward catering by and large to people with ADHD and mental problems. I grew up watching shows on TV like Bob Ross painting on the weekends and its just one camera angle, it stays in place the whole episode, and you watch him move his hand around painting. Theres no memes, theres no zoom ins every 4 seconds, the camera angle doesnt change constantly to remind you to stay awake or stay focused. And the movies and shows I used to watched used to focus more on peoples' talent and abilities to perform on stage, and now everything is highly edited and chopped up and the magic is in the editing and not in what people actually do on screen. Editing can make a guy sitting in a chair farting entertaining, but if you can see past it, it looks silly cause you know its just a guy sitting there farting. Thats what I see in videos like this. Now though, cinema and camera work has changed so much that it actually looks to me like people are having a hard time staying focused for more than a few seconds and need to be WOWed or tricked into keeping focused, and thats a bad thing. Its more about the culture and less about the actual content creator just trying to fit in. I hope this will turn around one day and people will realize we need to slow down and read books and see nature and do things that dont constantly cater to fleshing and tingling your senses.
Great Video! A few extra Photoshop tips: - V is the shortcut for the transform tool. At the top, you can select "Show Transform Controls" so that you don't have to press CTRL+T. This is my default tool when I'm not doing a specific task. - CTRL + J will duplicate a layer or selection. No need to clip or copy and paste. Great for popping selections to a new layer. ALWAYS duplicate a layer before trying any effect or process that you think may be "destructive". If you have to undo the effect to tweak it (ex. Gaussian blur), then CTRL + J the layer before doing so. That way you always have a backup if you destroy the layer. - ALT + Scroll will let you zoom in and out without having to move your hands. FAST BOI - If you're old school and used to holding shift to proportionally transform, you can set it back to the CS3 days in the settings. - When transforming, hold ALT after starting a scale to scale from the center of the object or layer. REALLY helpful if you already have something centered or in the right spot, but just need to tweak the size. - USE THE PEN TOOL. It's weird to get used to, but it's really good. I've heard good things about the Select Subject function, but I haven't played with it much. Plus, being a pen tool master is kind of a flex. There's a few simple rules to using it: Anchor Points (dots) go on opposite ends, or extreme points of curves, and the line will then follow the curve. You place your first point and drag in the direction you want to go. Then place the second point and drag in the direction you want to go next, while also trying to match the line between the first two points to the edge of what you're selecting. If the direction you want to go won't let you match the curve, or is a hard angle, you can hold ALT once you've got the previous curve set to move just the next handle in the direction you want. With this pattern of Click, Drag, ALT, Drag, you can clip out fairly complex stuff in no time. Maybe watch a few tutorials on the pen tool. OR just use the subject select because the future is now and stuff. Hope that helps. - Someone who started using Photoshop in 2007
