I came to learn about the midsoles but the differences between the uppers was super interesting to learn about.
I love all the little things about Seth’s videos. The ultraboost lined up on the shelves in the back, the fact that Seth wore an adidas shirt for this video, and that Seth just is a great content creator.
You know what I wanna see? FutureCraft ST. I can see the "customized cushioning" thing going farther than ever before with FutureCraft technology, especially with a custom-made shoe for your specific gait and body type. Really hyped for the rumored upcoming adidas store in Detroit, I would defs go in there and get a custom-made shoe
My only concern about the 4D would be that if I were to use them and accidentally step in a puddle or in mud, it would just stay inside the sole and would be difficult to get out. Also, imagine stepping in a puddle and the water getting in your sock

I prefer the 4D because I have low arches and the insole is made for each person specifically. So for me, the 4D would be more comfortable than boost.

I feel that futurecraft has a lot of potential. Futurecraft could probably be used a lot for basketball because of the structure and the bounciness. Also, futurecraft will a better running shoe because of the bounce and structure. If adidas plays the marketing and makes thr shoe well, they could be really rich soon, that is if they decrease the price from $300.
scooscoo head alot of people can afford the shoes.. as long as they make quantities limited and keep the hype up the consumers making up the demand will continue to buy up the stock.. and resale will continue to be sky high thanks to the limited quantities and consumerism
I agree, but I feel that in the future, they should make a basketball shoe because I will buy it. I'm a big baller and I hope to have the bounciness and comfort of futurecraft under my feet soon. Also, thanks for the heart Seth!

I think adidas is beta-testing its 4D technology before it launches massively. I’m pretty sure the next iteration will improve on all the points you mentioned. Can’t wait to see the full range of 4D equipped kicks!

It's not that boost bottoms out. I think a lot of people just don't take care of their shoes and also wear them non stop so they subconsciously lose the great feeling of putting boost on for the first time. It loses its lustre. That's not the tech, but the people.
MariNate YES! Have done that with my Ultraboosts and I regret it. I bought a couple of pairs now to 1st have a rotation going on and 2nd to not have boost "bottom out" that fast
Omertà yea, it’s all about rotation, I usually wear my balenciagas or guccis most days and save my ultraboosts for when it’s raining because I have the ATR mid pair.
I’ll have to disagree with you, my beater UB’s definitely have bottomed our, you can see it in he shoe when you take out the insole that there is a clear recession by the heelcap, and it just isn’t as springy as when you first buy them, it’s all based on wear though. But I have definitely experienced the foam bottoming out especially around the heel

MariNate yeah it is like I wear my ultraboosts almost everyday to school and they don't feel like how they used to when I first got them but then I went rollerskating the other day and then after when I took my skates off and I put my ultraboosts on they felt so amazing it felt like I was walking on clouds or something

They should try combining the bottom half of the 4d and top half of the boost to give the squishy feeling on foot yet springy on step
I was able to get the white 4d from the 747 event and have worn them pretty much everyday since and i still think the ultraboost are more comfortable.

Right now the 4D is 100% hypebeast, especially the Y-3. For everyday wear, the ultraboost is still probably a better sneaker.
I think the 4D is a better choice.. it looks more comfortable to me.. I have an ultraboost and it lost it comfort in just 7 months of usage.. also lost the traction from the outsole
What kind of potential do y’all think 4D has? I mean hopefully cost goes down but could it be like boost and bridge performance and lifestyle? It would be crazy to see the 4D on the hardwood or in a performance running shoe for marathoners. The possibilities and combinations are endless ! What about like a boost 4D combo?!

I picked up a pair and I'm loving them, I would say for all day were they are better then ultra boost.
Most of the 4d problems are from the upper, just put the UB on the 4d soles

Disagree with the 4d midsole. Running and wearing over time I feel like you don’t get the energy back. Ran about 4 miles in these and was finding they were heavy feeling/ not giving me the energy boost does. The tech is the main stand out imo it’s the coolest thing. However I don’t think there can be a comparison in my opinion to the way Boost feels. And yes there will be a wider release of the shoe.
Perhaps the AlphaBounce would be a better comparison. 🤔

What does the futurecraft midsole feels like material wise? Like boost is foam, phylon feels like rubber/foam.

Although I am interesting of how the future craft feels on foot so hopefully one day I can share the same. But in the meanwhile Ultra Boost still the past and the future for me. I still don't get the hype about UBs. They aren't comfortable to me. At all. Major heel slippage and constant contact to that stupid plastic toeguard on the inside. And all that at my correct size (tried 1/2 up and down).
