I love that he is not just a great artist but a great educator. I've seen so many artists operating at the highest levels who seem to have difficulty explaining the why behind their genius. I learned so much.
I agree with you.. You should watch Lisa Eldridge if you haven't seen her already. She is awesome at teaching.. And she's a beautiful looking woman, who speaks so calmly and sweet.. She knows her stuff too..

thank you Nadine really enjoyed this interview my fave , I could listen to John all day :) I put eye cream on my lips last thing every night, I keep it by my bed, you can tell he has spent a lot of time with older women he has so much common sense, and he mentions tips I learnt from my Mum, and I picked up in the 60/ 70's, I agree less is more especially on mature skin.....oh I just love his integrity xxx
He's a trained makeup artist. THAT'S why he knows what works and understands the older woman. He's not the run-of-the-mill self-taught "Insta MUA"... He's a qualified, trained, licenced and insured professional.

This was the most in-depth video I've yet seen with Sir John. Nadine, your channel is a gift for beauties everywhere, but especially for those in the beauty biz, as you back up what you present, and make it understandable.
Oh Nadine wow I was so excited to watch this , thank u .I worked on counter for years and read every mags with well known artists , yet these days if ur on Instagram ( instaglam I call it ) as the mua are filtered to the max and only do there own faces so off course there going to be great as they've had so much practice on there own faces yet old school mua dnt get enough credit as they might not have as many followers. Cosmetic companies shd stop sending and spending gifts on influencers just the get them to sell products . Make up used to be abt talent and art even on counter but it became about targets and how much u could sell . Most counter staff aren't trained as long as they can sell . Ppl like Sir John should be greatly appreciated x

Think you,ve hit the nail on the head, because they are so big now they feel as though they don’t have to and are probably confident that people wouldn’t stop buying their products en masse, it’s sad and like u said shameful !
Also i know its a start but if a company is going cruelty free which we all love and want then please extend it to packaging it makes me mad or literally reusable packaging which can be refilled like the old offliscences in uk refunds or discounts on empties or returned bottles

Amazing video - you look positive starstruck (only joking) what I love about the makeup looks you showed is that the women look so natural. No Insta make up with slug eyebrows. My late mum used to say that you should never notice when someone is wearing make-up so hopefully that look will return instead of the overly contoured, KK type makeup....great video as always - informative and entertaining!
