    What a lovely video. And to see warbirds that once represented opposing forces during an awful conflict landing together in peace and mutual admiration - it gives me hope.

    Beautiful to watch, very therapeutic. Looks like quite a tricky place to land with all the undulating terrain and trees, but very pretty. Would keep the pilot on his toes I would think - especially in the 109.

      Looks like a Buchón to me, not a 109 - you can tell from the position of the exhaust that it's a Merlin engine. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hispano_Aviaci%C3%B3n_HA-1112#HA-1112-M1L

    • @heronweslley
      @heronweslley 5 лет назад

      @@Warbirds I'm a layman on this aviation subject, but I started to love aviation stuff, and I'd like to know if there's a maximum speed that a civilian pilot can hit. Like, these warbirds catch up 600 km/h. Can a civilian pilot buy or (a aeronautical engineer) build a plane that reach that speed just to feel the emotion of driving a machine that goes 600km/h? Or just military people can have one like that?

    • @radimvojta6313
      @radimvojta6313 5 лет назад +2

      Heron Weslley Sure you can. However there is a speed limit of 250kts/460km/h below 10 000ft which you can exceed under special circumstances only (eg. special display authorization, in a special use airspace, or in aerospace class A,B,C in some countries). Usually only ex-military aircraft are faster than that anyway, most of them being these expensive high-performance warbirds. Just a couple of more affordable aeroplanes can reach 600km/h, one of them being the Swiss built trainer Pilatus P2 with Vne of 600Km/h. There is no requirement for special training to fly these fast aeroplanes in some countries so even a mere Private pilot can fly them, however, a Letter of Authorisation or other trainig is required in some others.

      @@radimvojta6313 Errr are you sure my friend . I believe it's 250 mph , or knots i can't remember which , below 3000 ft . I don't need to worry whether mph or knots as i never get anywhere near that speed anyway .

    • @radimvojta6313
      @radimvojta6313 5 лет назад

      Mickey No, it is 250kts below 10 000ft, for sure. Not necessarily everywhere, depends on country and/or airspace class. There are additional speed limits in some countries, eg. Canada has 200kts below 3000ft within 10 nautical miles from controlled airport, USA has 200kts below 2500ft within 4 nautical miles of the primary Class C or Class D airport, etc.
