Thank you Hoss tools , what a delight in talking to both of them , outstanding tools & implements , yes , made in the USA , that is why i bought it ! " Pride " USA !!
I went to your website to check out the hoss push plow but while I was there I watched some of your other videos and now I am subscribing sharing and liking. you guys are great.
Excellent demonstration and assembly with narration of directions. I applaud you, sir. I just got the double wheel hoe for Christmas and am looking forward to assembling it soon in time for gardening season. There are some good people at Hoss Tools. Well done.
Danny and Wanda. My husband and I have been watching your channel and enjoying all if the information you share. We saw one of your videos where you mentioned the Hoss hoe. We came to this video and were very impressed. I have chronic pain issues, horrible knees, and carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands with nerve damage in one. My time in the garden was becoming shorter for me and longer for my husband. Our 2 wheel Hoss hoe arrived yesterday. In the space of 2 hours, we replanted our peas and weeded half of our rowed garden. Today I'm sore, but it's the good kind of sore from muscles being used again. Thank you for the information.
I wonder if it would be good for a piece of garden that I need to start.... you know where you still have grass to dig up? I'm wanting to enlarge my garden!
No, the wheel hoe is not heavy enough to break new ground. But, a mattock can! If one is trying to stay away from power tools. One good days work with a mattock, then wheel hoe with cultivator teeth, followed up with the little disc harrow attachment and one can have a great garden. No it isn't easy but that is part of the fun!! Make sure to cover and kill all the grass and weeds first, use your wheel hoe to get up the residue. Travis at Hoss tools has a video on doing that!
thanks Danny and Wanda. been following Hoss tools for quite a spell. i still use my Ky. high hoe, was grandpas. not as modern as Hoss version. still a great tool. this is on the wish list.
Been a big fan of Hoss for years! They make great stuff and are fine folks as well. The stirrup hoes are fantastic weeders. I'm never far away from my 12" oscillating hoe!! Spreader bar with 2 6" hoes and you can straddle the row with your double wheel hoe and weed those newly sprouted plants without disturbing them. Double wheel will also converts easily to a single with a shoulder bolt conversion kit. Hilling with the plows, throwing dirt to new plants (corn!) digging furrows for potatoes, then reverse the plows and cover them up in one pass, fantastic! Get yourself a planter Danny, you won't regret it! Glad you hooked up with Greg and co. Made in USA! (and no, I'm not affiliated, just LOVE good tools and hate bad ones!)
I always give the wood a couple of coats of paint. It makes it last longer than the original single coat, and makes mine easy to spot if several are used together. I also use a center punch to put some ID marks somewhere to identify the tool in case of theft.
They are a great tool, I use the sweeps, disc, plow/hiller and the seeder attachment. They are a very high quality product and made here in the USA. I have had mine for a little over 3 years just a drop of oil every now and the and linseed oil on the handles every year.
Danny, in your video you mentioned the term "cultivate/cultivated" as an activity in your garden. Could you expand on what that term means. I've thought it was when you were at a point of the gardens life close to the time of harvesting the veggies. Please elaborate a wee bit on that term. Thanks.
Ha ha a 2 wheel push plow..I had those same attachments with my antique Planter Jr. push plow. I can see the help it would be having two wheels. It would be a balanced plow for sure.
little boiled linseed oil and you're good to go for a while......then repeat. I've stored mine outside (covered overhead but open in front) with no problems. Outstanding products and great folks to work with!
Hey Danny and Wanda, I've been trying to use your link for the Hoss Tools so I can place my order but your link isn't working… Can you post whatever I need right here and maybe that would help? I'm placing a rather large order and I definitely want y'all to make a little money off the sale ;) Thanks, Jenn
Tell them that Deep South Sent you . This should be our link. You can also call them and tell them that you are using our link below. Thanks HOSS TOOL affiliate link: www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?B=862842&U=1327136&M=65739&urllink
Danny, I use mine a lot! I hate I didn't get your video earlier. The seeder attachment is a real back saver! I prefer the oscillating hoes as opposed to the sweeps, and yes I have both. Check out my video on making raised beds with the plow attached: ruclips.net/video/k4xC18XZ_2c/видео.html. After tilling, a broad fork, a wheel hoe, with attachments, hoe and garden rake and one should be ready to garden pretty seriously. Great video by the way and have fun, 2018 is looking like my best year so far!

THat is so great! Hoss Tools are great and we love using ours. Good luck. The soreness goes away faster than if you had to use a hoe for hours.
I thought for sure that thing would be so hard to push! That's great!!! Got get one!!
Its not hard to push at all be sure to go through our link to help out our channel. Thanks

I wonder if it would be good for a piece of garden that I need to start.... you know where you still have grass to dig up? I'm wanting to enlarge my garden!
I would put down black plastic first to kill all grass and weeds then break it up.

Yes it has.Thanks
DANNY. Do you have drip irrigation in your garden? Thanks.
I do in one of my gardens this year to give it a try.
Yeah..Im going to try drip as well but with pvc pipe. We will see how that works out. I may try tape next year.
What a great tool for all of us Suburban small gardens!
Its really great for the urban gardener Rob. Thanks
thanks Danny and Wanda. been following Hoss tools for quite a spell. i still use my Ky. high hoe, was grandpas. not as modern as Hoss version. still a great tool. this is on the wish list.

I am going to use The Homestead Box kit and put a finish on our Hoss Two Wheel Hoe. It should last a long time. Thanks
I've got one of these. They work great!
So glad to see you got one to.Thanks
Goodness!!! What a time and BACK saver that is!! I know what imma gonna ask for this year for Christmas!! Thanks for the review!!

That is how we plan to take care of ours. We are really enjoying the hoss tool plow.
Also what is your row spacing?
Thats a fine tool! I like the double wheels, looks very stable and easy to handle.
Awesome tool will save you so much time in the garden. You almost meed 2 of them that way you don't fight over it lol
I know right.
How do you make your raised rows?

Im planning a video on Garden terms. Thanks
Danny, do you still use it?
Just bought a single wheel. Best $ I've spent in a loong time. Amazing.
Ha ha a 2 wheel push plow..I had those same attachments with my antique Planter Jr. push plow. I can see the help it would be having two wheels. It would be a balanced plow for sure.
It makes it so much easier. Thanks
honda mini tiller...done
Thanks Danny! I'm gonna buy one!! I'll buy thru your link! 😘
My Dad had one of those and I'm telling you that think can wear a kid out.
This design is really easy to push. Thanks
Could you use the 2nd attatchment without cultivating first? Since each attachment is pricey I don't want to buy something that is not used.
Yes, you can. That is a wise move on your part. Thanks
Is the wood sealed?
No, but I am going to seal it myself. Thanks

Would you suggest getting this one or the higher one you got just a bit ago?
The high one will allow you to plow over crops.
Back to eden no weeds in path.......
Back to Eden dosent work well here.
Danny, Did you buy this or did the company send it to you to review?
I worked my tail off for it.Thanks
Good work! I have been considering getting one myself, this helped.
They make it easier to keep the garden clean with a fraction of the time and effort. Well worth every dollar. Thanks, Sir
