Cool video! Nice to see a couple of photos of my great-great grandfather Peelatche Baaxbaat (Sacred Raven) or Medicine Crow along with my great great grandmother Iisaxpuatahchee Baaxbaat (Sacred Mountain Sheep) or Medicine Sheep. Medicine Crow was "the" greatest Apsaalooke (Crow) warrior of all time with more documented war deeds than any other warrior in the history of the Apsaalooke!

I really like the old American history myself, but I get a bit depressed when I read about Native Americans. It's really sad what happened to them. They had a really good way of looking at life and I especially liked their belief about owning land and such. Their view of the Earth was very good.

A man cant choose the color of his skin as he is born but the man can choose where to lead his heart. A man cant choose the path he is born upon but he can choose the path upon he walks. Coming from a white man with no native descent. I absolutely respect and love these people and I am extremely spiritual. May their spirits always be with us

@2tserleg :I do agree with what you've said especially, wisdom is endless. As you know, the Truth of the American Natives history have been kept from us. I come to the Native Channels to learn the old ways, to hear their messages, music, which really fills my heart, spirit which gives me strenght to find my Native Heritage. We were only taught what people wanted us to believe. So now I come to the source for knowledge.
Please, I don't, disrespect what you have said. Much Aloha! Nai'a

I can not say that i don't like those people who settled America, as I can not say that i don't like today's Americans.. but that is the people who want to rule the planet, without religion and faith, without conscience and co-conscience, without humanity..they are not judges to decide someone's fate or tailored upon someones history. I am sympathetic with you native Americans.

They thought about the children and the women first before war. Not a one of these men would have thought of war as a way to resolve a problem. They where made to fight. They were good fighters because they were smart and most importantly they were spiritually sound. The creator was on there side.We got to know what we're fighting for. What was done is done.Lets fight for whats still going on today. Alcohol/drugs,political corupption, and most importantly we must keep our languages and ways alive.

My Grandmother was part Choctaw and Irish. I am the lady that proclaims my heritage not knowing about because of prejudice. My father was Italian. I grew up in Texas and moved to LA and found out about my heritage and there I was reborn again. I have no prejudices and that is the way my grandmother raised me. We are all apart of the United States of America except I have blue eyes. What is your challenge in life?

There are also the great chiefs Cochise (his son Naiche, also a Chief, is shown around the 2min 6sec mark), Mangas Colorados, Victorio (shown at the 3min 39 sec mark, his headband lost in the scuffle that occurred because he did not want his picture taken), Miquel Narbona, Chihuahua, to name but a few.. Geronimo however was not a chief. Great warrior...famous...but not a chief. Also the Apache warrior shown at the 35sec mark is Chato, who wanted to be a chief but I don't believe he ever was. Wasn't trusted enough as I understand it.

These were American's greatest heroes working for the welfare of their people or fighting against foreign invaders. If some one asked which tipi/wickiup/wigwam/house the chiefs lived in , the native would say "The poorest one in the village"--the great ones always gave to their people till they had little left.

I visited a mission in California one day and I thought it was so beautiful. It was in the middle of no where off the freeway near barren hills. And then it hit me that it was in the shape of a corral and I felt so sad and teared up that they had corralled the natives and forced them to take their religion and follow their customs. I am ashamed of my European ancestors and what they did to Africans also. It is done and we have to start again. There are bad and good in every culture.

Chief Sitting Bull, at the Powder River Conference, 1887
Hear me people: We now have to deal with another race---small and feeble when our fathers first met them, but now great and overbearing. Strangely enough they have a mind to till the soil and the love of possessions is a disease with them. These people have made many rules which the rich may break but the poor may not. They take their tithes from the poor and weak to support the rich and those who rule.
