Дети немного в шоке😂
So me and my friends were Hardcore ravers in 1991, and The Prodigy's first few singles tore up the rave scene like you wouldn't believe, and seeing "our" music on the tv and in the charts was crazy. And their first album was a Breakbeat Hardcore masterpiece, and was probably the only album that you just had to own if you was a raver.
Over the next few years, the music morphed from Breakbeat Hardcore to Jungle, and it was a wild, wild time. It's impossible to communicate the energy and excitement in the scene at that point, it became a country wide youth movement, where people were defined more by whether they were into the music than by class, race, creed or religion.
Imagine my excitement in 1994, my mate has just bought The Prodigy's new album, Music for the Jilted Generation, we go back to his yard and stick it in the CD player.
Wait a minute. This ain't old school Hardcore. And it ain't Jungle either. I sit there, confounded, listening, trying to wrap my head around what's going on. I listened to it again and again in the days and weeks following, drawn deeper and deeper into the intricate webs of rhythm and melody, mesmerized by it, hypnotized.
It was then that I realized that The Prodigy are the most aptly named band of all time.
Эпично. Круто. Лучшие! До сих пор ноги идут в пляс от этой группы.
