I remember that I saw this video on MTV when it was released and I thought what the hell is this 😀. But it etched into my brain and soon I listened to The Prodigy almost every day and I still do. I can´t come up with a band or artist that has affected my life more than this band, it´s pure magic.
I only remember it hearing it for the first time on the radio in the nineties, being a 9 yo kid or so. Had no idea what was going to happen with the start and instantly hit that record button on the cassetterecorder. And I would not be disappointed... This was just totally different than all the other stuff they used to play (and pity to say, I think that regular radiostations today all play the same shite and hardly ever dare to go out of the regular playlist)

Truly great music encapsulates the era. This blew my mind when I first heard it, and even at the end of my raving career in 2009/10 it could still burn up the place. Happy times.
It’s not even as close to aggressive as, for example, Nicky Melange’s (whatever) “songs” and todays “music” alike.
I play this music to kids they say it is modern.
How would a track be "aggressively 2010's"? Just be a watered-down, ripoff version of something that was done better thirty years ago?

I'll never forget hearing this one for the first time. I was about 10, it was around '93, I was at the tennisclub and it was on the radio. I was totally shocked. "What the hell are these sounds?!?!?!". Luckily, a fellow tennisplayer who was like 16 knew what it was. "The Prodigy", he wrote it down for me. When I had enough money, I bought the Experience album. Till this day, it's one of my alltime favourites, and partly responsible for me starting to produce my own music.

They bridged the gap between many different genres and opened the eyes of many to a whole new world they may have never known otherwise. Rest in Peace Keith, I was lucky enough to see you perform in the front row with The Prodigy in Adelaide, South Australia on January 26th of this year.. who would've known it would've been one of the last prodigy shows with you. True legend, and always will be.
We saw him March 2017 at Ultra in Miami.....5 rows from the front. I'm so grateful for that opportunity!!! RIP Keith....I'm speechless!!

@Jamie McCallum “Chase the Devil” was written by LSP & Max Romeo and produced by LSP and featured instrumentals by LSP’s band The Upsetters. LSP even got his own version called “Disco Devil”. There is also a version by The Upsetters on their own called “Croaking Lizard”.
