A truly timeless piece of music. Hard to believe it was released in the 90's! It's not aged a day! There's not many artists who could have ever mixed these different musical styles and pulled off a good track! The Prodigy did it and also gave us this truly unique video to boot! A classic. We miss you Keith! x
It’s testament to how good The Prodigy were that 23 years after this was released it still sounds as fresh as when it first came out. I know Liam was very much behind the actual music production of the band, but Keith was the performer - he was the one you came to see and couldn’t take your eyes off. So much energy. So intimidating. I can still remember how shitscared I was seeing the Firestarter music video as a kid. Was absolutely 100% certain that this raving lunatic dancing around some abandoned tunnel was staring into my soul and getting ready to kill me. Away from the performing side of things, seems like Keith was, by all accounts, a gentle, kind and sensitive man. It’s sad that his life ended the way it did. RIP

Scott Charney you’re right, he wasn’t the only performer - Maxim had big presence, as can be seen in this video and there was also Leeroy Thornhill, who was a great dancer, especially for a man about 7 foot tall. All of them made contributions towards the music as well. But when people think of The Prodigy, the first image most of them will have is of Keith Flint staring menacingly at the viewer in the Firestarter video. He was the absolute personification of the music - intense, disturbing, unhinged. As the lyric goes - “danger illustrated”. I can’t really see how the band will continue now, which is a shame for people who never got to see them live, but Keith has left too big a gap.

My mum was a 90's raver. We've lived 10 minutes from The Prodigy's hometown of Braintree my whole life. Safe to say I was raised on these guys from the womb. I remember kids in Primary school singing nursery rhymes and I would yell out "I GOT THE POISON, I GOT THE REMEDY" or similar. Their faces were priceless. Long live The Prodigy 🤘
I'm 61. I lived in LA at the time. This band came BLASTING in and and sort washed away the low-energy grunge at the time. These guys and Ramstein. The 90's was great decade for rock...
You know a song is truly timeless when it sounds both like a classic hit and a modern break-out at the same time... no matter what year it is. This may be Prodigy's magnum opus.
I still remember seeing them live at a festival. They brought metalheads (such as myself) and ravers together in just a sea of energy. An experience I'll always cherish.

Scary
Никто, ничего, никогда, лучше не создаст в этом стиле, это просто не возможно. Столько лет прошло, а звучание огонь. Сейчас очень не хватает такой оригинальной музыки
I see The Prodigy flows within your blood, right down into your DNA. Exquisite
I'm 61. I lived in LA at the time. This band came BLASTING in and and sort washed away the low-energy grunge at the time. These guys and Ramstein. The 90's was great decade for rock...

growing up in middle America this song opened me up to an entirely new world of music back in 1996. RIP Keith. RIP the 90s

RIP 90s. This country has gotten rapidly worse since 2000.
You know a song is truly timeless when it sounds both like a classic hit and a modern break-out at the same time... no matter what year it is. This may be Prodigy's magnum opus.
True 👏
It’s very similar to firestarter though.
Haha.. jeeze
Smack my bitch up, you can't even watch the video on mainstream pussyfied sites like youtube.
Hello! listen to the musician Little Orange Ua
I still remember seeing them live at a festival. They brought metalheads (such as myself) and ravers together in just a sea of energy. An experience I'll always cherish.

I'm 45....back in the 90's I was listening metal, hard rock mostly. And then came Prodigy. Man! I remember like it was yesterday. Huuuuge thing on the music scene! Totally original, nothing like it, not even close! The effect they produced remains to this day. One of a kind. Huge respect.
