really love this channel, so much of this kind of content has this new age-y or "grindset" kind of spin to it, it's nice to see it laid plain without much hero worship
Thanks @willowgauze9153 . I watch myself around problematic stories of success, and the possible toxicity of 'grindset' attitudes, so just really good to hear that's being felt. Thanks for supporting.
as much as its important to be dedicated to the craft, it doesn't always have to be tooth and nail or through self destruction, still something I'm trying to undo for myself.@@creativemindsyoutube
One of my absolute FAVORITE Artists, of the last 20 years: ...I was introduced, via the magical "Retrograde"; but, I immediately ran through his catalog. An Artist's Artist, indeed: the amount of paintings that I have created, to his tunes (I am a Professional Visual Artist, specializing in paints. Acrylic and oil, mainly). Long Live JAMES BLAKE. My first Time seeing this channel: Subscribed, Liked, and clicked "All". Salute :0).
His self titled is one of the most depressing/atmospheric and haunting albums I've ever heard, Was and still is one of the most memorable and unique pieces of art
I resonate with how he’s navigated thru his artistic journey so much -& I’m so grateful that I came across this at this particular moment in my career. There are so many affirmations for anyone who may need them in this video. Thank you so much for this.
Thanks Rude Girl Sounds, for taking the time to drop the comment, and share a bit of your story and also put forward the appreciation for the video. Glad this piece resonated with you, and good luck with whatever you're working on at the moment.
Amazing video, thanks for sharing man. I think what I struggle the most with being an artist is always wanting to be like other artists. Always emulating sounds instead of embracing my own. So what James said about experiencing a similar mindset really touched me.
So glad the video connected for you @vankonfico . Thanks for the message too. Some of the artists I feature lean away from heavy view count, and towards people I would just want to see myself, so when I hear that people are enjoying, that matters out here. Thanks.
I'm kind of not impressed with how the narrator talks a lot during the times that James is singing. For some reason, the narrator interrupts or keeps talking right during the point that we want to listen. Perhaps this should be longer, so that the narrator can speak when James is not singing, or perhaps the narrator should not talk, and we should see it as text on the screen.
Hey JB. I've been building the channel out slow, to maintain focus on the videos. However, I've had a lot of interest on a Discord, and I'm building one into a Patreon page that I'm working on now. I'm very keen not to price anyone out of the Discord, so it will be offered on the lowest bracket of support tier. Thanks for the comment, and really glad you are enjoying the videos.

A great live performer. His tv appearances are magical.
Articulate, intelligent and grounded! Great video and inspiring to see his vulnerability paying off in helping people feel at peace with themselves.
Glad you enjoyed it @velvet_knockout . Blake gave so much in this, loved making this one.
