- This mother came home to discover her daughter had let one of the cows inside the house. When she asked her why she didn't wait for her permission, the little girl tried to distract her by acting innocent.

I love the way this mom is dealing with this. As a child who feared my parents. And they were just "ordinary parents," who would've hit the ceiling over a pooping ruminant moving into the human domicile. This child will become an exceptional adult, because of her mother. Who is trying to persuade her daughter to give up on deception and face the real situation. She isn't coercing or forcing the child to see how to "deal,"with a situation, but letting the child see the situation for herself.
Another unique thing about this mom is that "she gets it," She can't resist the fact that her daughter and this cow demonstrate affection to one another.

It always amazes me how creative children (including my daughter when she was little girl's age) can be. That 'poop' story could have fooled a detective. My own daughter, having raided the sugar bowl denied it. I marched her to our mirror & said 'what's that?' She said 'dry skin.

Considering the mess in that house, it's no wonder the cow feels very comfy in it.
It's just an enclosed patio, so no big deal if it's cluttered, or if a calf comes in. I think mom would have been genuinely annoyed if the calf was in the living room.
