Old tools from the UK- Box one

- During the process of building Ben's new workshop we were forced to empty our 'silver' shed of it's entire contents so it could be relocated. Hidden right at the back were 5 dusty steel ammo boxes from the UK - boxes that contained the majority of the hand tools we managed to gather together when we left for New Zealand - under the circumstances we didn't have much time to pack. As a result much of what I owned was left behind & ultimately lost which was such a shame.
For me & many mechanics I have worked with would agree tools that you have owned for a long time often carry with them memories. Some specal project, roadside repair, late night bodge or personal injury!! These tools to me carry many stories of my past in the UK so join me in unearthing the past....
Enjoy
Andy
Thanks for watching, producing these videos does cost a great deal of time & some money too. I'm hoping you found this & other videos on the channel entertaining/helpful if you did then maybe you'd beable to send over a dollar or two to help support the channel so we can keep doing what we do best. If not then you can help in other ways - why not share the video you enjoyed on your facebook or other Social media platform - it's amazing how one single post can then be shared causing a sudden surge in views!
Here's a link to Mrs Mechanic's new RUclips channel, you'll see lots of behind the scenes videos & also her epic ride down the full length of New Zealand on a tiny Honda Monkey motorcycle - off road!!

Thanks - much prefer this style of video.
Andy, you're the boss... the first of your videos I ever watched taught me how to fully service my mazda demio. Cheers, bud. I've been subscribed ever since.
Thanks Kenrick, appreciate your support. It seems so long ago now that I started the channel, been quite a journey & still so much to do but it's great to see the videos helping so many people.
All the best
Andy
Sure is going to take some time to sort out all those tools, but it is like Christmas time with all the nice surprises waiting in the amo boxes. You can never have too many tools. Cheers Andy.
Never throw away any tools, worn out impact sockets can be used to press out bearings etc for example.
Great call, yes, can certainly be re-purposed - I hate throwing things away, no wonder I struggle for storage space!
Cheers
Andy
Looks like my socket box of misc tools 😂
Andy you can get your gedore socket replaced it comes with a lifetime warranty
I'll try that, Thanks 😀
if anything the big sockets will do for pressing bearings in

My old best mates Dad used to work at Myfords in Beeston , Notts. Great British manufacturer back in the day. 🇬🇧👍
No, not at all, just got put on hold. All stripped, most replacement parts now in hand. Plan to do the rebuild next year all going to plan :-)
Apologies for the long delay, just so many other projects had to get done with a deadline.
