Thank you for reviewing this beast of an album! I always enjoy your humor and view on music🙏 After listening to this album a few times now, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is the best Jesus Lizard album beside Goat! It just flows so nicely and has different paces of intensity to it. I also appreciate that they amped up the spooky vibe in the music and the sence of melody in the vocals.👻 Greetings from Finland!🤙
Have to jump in on the winning gang. My brother saw them when Jon Spencer opened for them (maybe The Pyramid??). I saw them there mid 90’s I think? One of my favourite bands and easily one of the all time great live acts.
October 31 @ the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas. Tickets already secured Last saw at Austin City Limits on 09/22/2018 Couple of times in the 90s in Austin at Emos Always a great show
I was already stoked about this, but now even more so after watching the review. The interesting thing about Sid Vicious (the wrestler) and Sid Vicious (the musician) is that they both stabbed someone...allegedly. Also, neither man knew how to play an instrument.
Watched the butthole surfers episode. Subscribed. Just watched ten minutes of the Led Zeppelin episode. Unsubscribed. "All musicians are thieves, the good ones take it somewhere new and the great ones do it more than once." -- Muddy Waters.
I appreciate you guys doing this episode, but I'm not sure if it was smart to release this before the album was even released. People not familiar with The Jesus Lizard will not be spurred to go check this album out unless they watch this after coming Friday and formal Jesus Lizard fans will not know what you guys are talking about. Just some constructive feedback. Looking forward to watching this episode after having listened to the album myself!
It's customary to release reviews of new albums and movies the week of release. It's standard PR procedure and has been done this way for years. But I totally get not wanting to watch before hearing the album, that's how I would do it as well.
@@EveryAlbumEver Nice of you to respond! I don't watch many publications but I'll take your word on that. I can see it work in creating awareness for the release to make people preorder, so fair enough. I have since watched the review and enjoyed it thoroughly! Thank you for the great work every week!
Aw shucks, I saw the notification and I thought the album was already out! Damn you two!!
Dude! Your channel is great
Thanks!
I bought my copy today

Saw them in Winnipeg in the early 90s. Best show I ever saw. I can't wait for this.
Me too!! One show at Ozzy’s Lounge and a couple shows at The Pyramid - three of the best shows I’ve ever seen!!!

Dude incredible in the background slaps
Lord Godiva is a masterpiece.
Will you guys ever do an episode where you talk about what you do for day jobs?
I'm holding off on watching this episode until I can hear the album, love me some Jesus Lizard!

Always a great show
I interviewed them in London in 1994. They were drunk and completely out of the zone. Hardest interview i ever did but they were fun in their own way.
It adds to their legend that they could do what they do in tandem with a hearty party regimen.
You have both my envy and my sympathy at the same time.

I'm putting my money on the wrestler being a better bassist based on physical coordination alone.
Can’t wait to see them in December
Yow
Good to know I'm not the only JL fan. Thanks, gents!
Spoiler: They’ll get a lot of shit wrong, somehow.
