I figured out a few things on my own after watching this: an easier method of getting them all to have hexagonal lines is to draw a black border around one half of the diamond & use the edit paths by nodes tool (N) to slightly bubble out the other side's edges, to make a wedge shape BEFORE cloning them. Doing that will also preemptively remove all those irritating white gaps now present in this travesty of vector coding and software.
Could u explain what u do after u create the one pattern and pull the original selection out. You hit some button and it changes something about the layers. Mine doesn't trace the pattern when u draw the path on the original triangles
You just need to double click the group to access the object inside the group. Clicking once will only select the group, but what you need to do is to double click it to get an access to the object inside the group.
@@inkpower1628 at 1:58 you do something to change the layers. It goes from Layer 1 to #g2432. I have no clue how to do what you did. You skipped right over this part. Double click the group? Access the Object? I think you are missing Adam's question.
@@jonlesher9750 Yes, double click the group to get access to the object inside the group. The notification bar will change from Layer 1 (before double clicking) to #g2432 which indicates that you are now in the state of selecting the object inside the group, instead of the group itself.
Tutorial is getting the job done, but it’s really hard to follow. Without any audio to help, I have to squint at the screen very closely, I’m only still here because I need the end result Edit- Got worse, cannot follow what he’s doing, going to have to find a new tutorial
combination of you explaining this and the music in background was very calming
Can anyone tell please how he deleted all the internal lines and gets non interlapped hexagons, its urgent for me please please

i guess, hotkey analog of: right click on original group -> Enter Group # (in bottom of contex menu)
