What an amazing banjo player you are! You’re so good, it’s a little depressing that I won’t live long enough to be as good as you are. God bless you young lady. Pure pleasure to listen to! 😃
Great arrangement, rhythm and style! I was thinking The Wellerman might work in the relative G minor tuning, and now I know for sure. Gonna give it a go. Cheers, Jack
Thanks Jack! I was just listening to your arrangement last night, and I'm really looking forward to hearing the finished product. What you have so far sounds great.
I’m gonna start trying to learn this! Also if you don’t mind me asking what’s your tuning? The drumming on the banjo at the same time of playing is also very impressive brother God bless ❤️✝️
There once was a cat with a hungry belly The name of the cat was Whiskers Jelly His throat was dry and his bowl was bare Meow my furry cats, meow Soon may the kitty-man come With birds and mice and some tasty nums One day when the critters come We'll eat 'til our bellies are full Well, Jelly got his boys and they gathered 'round They scattered seeds from a sack they found In hopes the seeds they spread on the ground Will bring small critters aboot Soon may the kitty-man come With birds and mice and some tasty nums One day when the critters come We'll eat 'til our bellies are full Well, the gang was bored and morale had dipped 'Til one of the seeds grew green catnip They sniffed and they snacked and they all got ripped They all had a meow that night Soon may the kitty-man come With birds and mice and some tasty nums One day when the critters come We'll eat 'til our bellies are full Well, their heads were hung when the morn was nigh The nip was strong and they all got high Their bellies were shrunk and their bowls still dry Oh, bring us some mice today Soon may the kitty-man come With birds and mice and some tasty nums One day when the critters come We'll eat 'til our bellies are full
Thanks! Not sure who made the banjo, but it belonged to my great-grandmother who purchased it in New York City circa 1910. I asked Banjo Hangout if they could ID it, but no one could say for sure. Possibly the work of Ed Bailey. Either way, it's a fantastic banjo, and I'm very lucky to have it.
Just threw a tab together for this one. Enjoy!

Well, the gang was bored and morale had dipped
'Til one of the seeds grew green catnip
They sniffed and they snacked and they all got ripped
They all had a meow that night
Soon may the kitty-man come
With birds and mice and some tasty nums
One day when the critters come
We'll eat 'til our bellies are full
Well, their heads were hung when the morn was nigh
The nip was strong and they all got high
Their bellies were shrunk and their bowls still dry
Oh, bring us some mice today
Soon may the kitty-man come
With birds and mice and some tasty nums
One day when the critters come
We'll eat 'til our bellies are full
Fantastic arrangement. Just one question please regarding the arrows on the tab. Do they signify down and up picking with the picking finger?
Sounds killer! Is that a Vega?

Sounds great! So the tuning is eBEGB?
That's correct, it's open Em. Here's a tab too, if you're interested: drive.google.com/file/d/1KkSSU0CAsTMHY6V1vgsyo_dldXQHv0sE/view
