You have a very pleasing voice and don't ever apologize for how much you have spent on something. I never consider a huge haul a show off but merely a chance to see many more things in one video! Great haul! Light boards are life savers for the darker areas of a canvas. They lay underneath the canvas. Temu sells them, of course.

The funny thing is, dimont art is originally from Asian. The Asians have been doing it for centuries. That's why a lot of people should do their research before they criticize people.
I have never tried it, but thanks to you, and others, and Temu, I'm getting ready to start..got the small Harry Potter owl and castle off of Temu, and the extra accessories, the light, the desktop magnifying lamp..I have always LOVED crosstitching, so I'm gonna try my hand at it..I've watched the tips, tricks, and how-tos...while waiting..Temu makes it easier to grab everything at one time, that I can afford!! I have a table that lifts like an easel...so I think I will enjoy it

I would love to do the diamond painting. You have to have steady hands, great eyes and great coordination. I have tremors so that kind of knocks me out I tried, and I couldn’t tell the difference between dark blue him and black, and when I found one that was right it took me so long to turn the time in correctly so I am jealous. Anybody who has talent that can do that you’re awesome who can
I have to use magnification when I do them. Even when I had good eyes, I had trouble seeing where to put them. I’m a bit OCD e when it comes to placement. While I prefer square diamonds for nicer projects, I have found that round diamonds go down a little faster & easier for the more non-serious projects.
I have started to develope tremors also. We haven't figured out why yet. Anyway, I love diamond painting and embroidering. Well my hands start to shake to much for me to embroider most of the time and I get so frustrated I have given up on it for awhile. However I can still manage to diamond paint!! Thankfully!!!

The one I’m working on has a lot of dark colors and they aren’t in alphabetical order so I guess I picked a great one for my 1st one didn’t I lol? I just assumed they did that on purpose for some reason though! I’ll be looking at the other ones I ordered and future ones to check the order they are in lol! 💜💜
I'm almost done with the diamond painting I'm working on now. Up next is Starry Night. I'm gonna be really tired of yellows and blues! Lol😅. Yep when you say 310 I know what color that is. When you get done with them or close to done you should do a short video on it or put it in your community tab
Hi. I have been doing diamond painting for 6 years now and , as others recommend, please do get light pad- it is a game changer and will save you eye strain. My personal preferences is square drills, and with squares, 310th can be problematic. A lot will depend on the manufacturer. I came across some shockers when I had to ditch entire canvas because the 310th were unworkable. I did buy some DP''s from Temu they have a lot of inexpensive paintings and the quality was decent which is great but my issue with them is that you can't choose the size of painting or the shape of diamonds.
I have 2 different light pads, I just don’t really use them much just because of my set up. I have a larger one that I was using solely on a drafting table, but circumstances have made it to where we had to put the drafting table in storage. I do have a smaller one that I use sometimes while in diamond painting on the couch. Sometimes though, it’s easier for me to see the spaces without the light pad. Thank you though 😂

If there’s anything you have in mind to look for specifically, you can type it in the search bar, which is found on the home page of the actual website, or a separate search tab in the app. Or you’re also able to take a picture or upload one from your device in the same search bar.

Yes, generally I’ve ordered quite a few diamond paintings from AliExpress. I actually have a couple that I’m waiting on to finish out a haul of 4 DP kits from AE. I like ordering from them when I want to get a bigger size. Most sellers there (works the same as Temu) offer both round and square drills in many different sizes. They will also accept orders for custom diamond paintings, which I did years back for a picture of my cat that had passed away. Just be mindful of shop ratings & reviews when ordering, as some shops have good kits, and others are more likely to have crappy drills or bad canvases.

Easy tip i found if i put the item number of painting on the drills and pic.wuth sticky notes or a blank sticker Its been easier for storage.
Get a light pad for the darker colors on pictures. Btw...I love watching your videos! Great job!

310 is black color for diamond paintings. I'm with you on how people treat other people about the diamond paintings stuff.I don't like to do the square diamonds as much as the round ones.i have 2 of of them just different colors. Mine charge. The pen with the magnified thing on it needs a battery . It should light up at the bottom . The one u said was a regular pen lights up . I have 2 of them it will light up with a battery. That's why it clicked like it did . I have 2 of the same blue books for the diamond paintings.
I do both square & round diamonds both. I seem to enjoy squares more than a lot of others do. It just makes my ocd brain feel satisfaction 😂
@@taliaquinn7909 ya for some people it's good. Did u see the message about the pen? That it's a light pen? You just need a battery and then push the top and it will light up at the bottom. Probably by now I'm sure you figured it out . Well have fun with the diamond paintings.

I know want to order more LOL. what kind of light board do you have. been looking and don't know which one to get. I want a good one that's not flimsy. And why does some of the listening's for the diamond paintings have it listed as artificial? Some do and some don't. just wondering why, aren't they all the same? Thank you for sharing this video. I really thought it was really helpfull for us newbie's🙂. smile
I guess they put the word artificial in the listing to keep people from thinking that they’re using actual real diamonds lol. I have 2 light pads, although I couldn’t tell you where I got them or who they’re made by. 🤷♀️
For the vacuum if you haven't figured it out. It takes 2 AAAs. Pull the top of it off and you get where the batteries go.
With the vacuum I got one got to pop the top off put the batteries in it I forgot what it takes think two double A
Order a light bored to help or a flashlight 🔦 might help with darker colors
I already have a couple of light boards. Sometimes they help, sometimes they don’t lol

Good evening I’m thinking about getting some Diamond painting canvases maybe a small one to see how long it takes. How many have you completed? I’d love to see the finished ones. Is it easy and fun? What age can start?
I did my first diamond painting about 6 or 7 years ago. I was living out of state, and had to leave most of my stuff behind (including the 3 DP canvases I had that had become damaged by that point anyway) when I moved back in 2018. I picked it back up about a year or so after I moved back. I split my DP time with my first love of cross stitching. All together I think I’ve completely between 15-20 kits. At first I had a dedicated space I could go to with a drafting table, but since I had my daughter in 2020 that space had to be converted to a room for her. Nowadays I mostly work on smaller canvases 30x40cm or less. If you’re looking to get started, I think the best way to place to go is to Hobby Lobby if you have one nearby, or other crafting store. The smaller ones they carry are perfect for beginners! You can also find a ton of things like keychains, bookmarks & stickers that I think would be good for children.

Temu does not pay tariffs to ship to us, but they charge us to ship to them. They take all of our garbage, u kno. What do u think life will be like when 90% of ur access to goods is through China and all the property and bridges are owned by slum lords in India?
Besides them being a shifty company, I think most of their profit is from double charges and unfulfilled orders. All the time, I hear people say, “I got these from Temu and I got this too. I forgot I bought it.” If u can’t remember what u paid for, how do u know they didn’t forget something u ordered or if they charge u a random amount? U probably don’t notice the $11.98 charged between the $10.97 and $15.53. U don’t save anything if u get nothing. Plus it takes forever to receive
Im kinda new to diamond painting, but i love it. I have a stupid kinda question however. Have you ever run into the problem of the "iridescent coating" of thr AB drills coming off on the wax used in thr pens and not being as shiny? Or some of them being shinier tham others because of being in a plastic container? I got a painting from Diamond Dotz brand from Walmart and it seemed like i had to use more wax with the AB drills and some of the drills werent as shiny as others? Was it just me? Was i doing something wrong? Because of my experience with that painting, i dont really care to use AB drills and kind of dread getting paintings with them in the picture.
Not a stupid question at all 😁 Yes, the AB coating will come off with the wax, or the wax will stick to the drill. Try getting a pair of tweezers with the pointed tip; these work so much better in placing AB drills.

I just never thought that the coating would come off that easy. I really appreciate the advice. I love diamond painting, and now that I am disabled and almost retired, it gives me something to do and helps me keep my sanity lol
@@spaceace0676 you’re very welcome! They pointed-tip tweezers are also useful for the “special drill” diamond paintings. Those have differently shaped rhinestones that are stuck over a printed canvas design, and can be much faster & easier than the regular diamond paintings.
@@taliaquinn7909 thank you. I haven't tried any of those yet. I've been doing mostly the "snack size" paintings because I don't have a lot of room right now. The reason I ended up doing the one from Diamond Dotz is because my mom got it and started it, but couldn't do it so I finished it for her. The biggest one I've done, so far, is a 30cm x 40cm and it's a KISS rock band, but most of them have been the 20cm x 20cm baby dragon paintings. I like the baby dragons in the Marvel style paintings.

Not sure of the exact size. It’s been a little while since I did this video so the frame is kinda packed away for the time being. The listing says that it’s 12”x16” or 30 x 40cm.
I dont care where I get my DP from I just want to do it and enjoy it and the more affordable the better, the only artist I know is van gough so lol😅
I’m the same way. There are a few artists that I know of & their styles are kinda distinct, and if I recognize the ones that license through a particular diamond art seller, then I’ll stay clear of those. I also do this with the stamped cross stitch kits because a lot of the Asian sellers will pull designs from wherever they find them & don’t pay for licensing

Same. The few designers I know about because of my cross stitching hobby are really the only ones I make sure to avoid their artwork. I try my best to not support copyright infringement on designers I know.

I hate how some people in groups get very snobbish when it comes to where OTHER people purchase their DPs. Not everybody can afford to pay DAC prices. Plus some of us just want smaller sized paintings.

I do both. A lot of people don’t like squares, and I think it’s mostly because they’re trickier too line up and look good, but I love squares because the process of concentrated placement appeases my OCD side 😂

I'm unsure whether to buy from Temu. I find those dummy circles quite annoying. I don't know if they are on all paintings? Also "Probably stolen art see" I won't buy that either. But sometimes you don't know. But I think DAC paintings are very beautiful, but so incredibly expensive, I can't afford them. I do the hobby purely for fun. And for relaxation, it helps enormously against stress.
The dummy circles aren’t on all diamond paintings, no matter where they’re from. It’s all in accordance with how the manufacturer prints them. It’s impossible to know which canvases will come with dummy circles unless the listing has a picture of the actual canvas or someone posts one in the review comments. I only worry about artwork from designers I recognize, usually as an artist that designs for cross stitch. I think everything else is fair game when you’re only doing it for personal enjoyment, but it’s ultimately up to the consumer whether they’re comfortable with the purchase or not.

I don’t have any of myself doing the diamond painting (at least not on this channel). I think I might have done 1 or 2 WIP & chat videos a few years back on my other channel The Part Time Stitcher. Plus there’s a literal TON of channels on RUclips who’s focus is diamond painting, and I’m sure they would have videos of the DP process.

I’ve been ordering more of them from Temu lately (obviously lol) but I used to order a lot from AliExpress. Ok Ali, you’re able to order any size in most full-coverage kits, and in either round or square drills. I’ve ordered from everydayedeals before and their quality isn’t too bad. On the more expensive side though, I’ve probably ordered way more from Diamond Art Club than I should have 😂
