God saves and is the author and finisher of our Faith. That doesn’t mean he can’t use the Saints or anyone else to bring you home.

it's actually quite simple. In ancient Jewish kingdoms, the mother of the King is referred to as the Queen. if Christ is the King of Heaven, and Mary is his mother, then that makes her the Queen of Heaven

Hi Joel, I just wanted to elaborate on what is being said in this clip because at first glance it can be kinda confusing. Then you can decide what you think of it with some more info. What they are talking about in this clip is that Satan fears _losing_ to the blessed virgin Mary more than he fears _losing_ to Jesus. This is specifically _because_ Mary is nothing compared to Jesus by nature, and it is only because she is so humble that she is given any status that she has. Now, bringing this back to the Devil. One of the main theories of which sin made the Devil fall, is pride. Putting himself above God and rebelling against Him. However, the Devil isn't stupid, far from it. The point put forward here is that it hurts his pride more to be cast out or pushed back by the prayers of a humble human made of dust, than it hurts his pride to be beaten by the LORD who has all power and majesty from all ages. @@Youngling24 Ah, and this is a doctrinal difference you may not know about; Catholics and Eastern Orthodox don't believe in the doctrine of Sola Scriptura, (or "Scripture Alone") which means something doesn't _have_ to be explicitly found in the Bible for it to be true. Instead those traditions have a tripod so-to-speak, of infallible Scripture, Sacred Tradition (not infallible accept in universal acceptance or denial), and a teaching authority (the magisterium) which can be infallible when needed. Thus the critique about a few peripheral matters (like this current one) that "that isn't found anywhere in Scripure" doesn't necessarily sink the idea. I get that is going to sound a little odd (maybe even a lot odd) if you have grown up Protestant (like me) without knowing any Catholics. However, I encourage you to look further into whether you believe the arguments for or against the doctrine of "Sola Scriptura" because that is really necessary before any of these much smaller things will make sense. There is an incredibly powerful book called the secret of the rosary written by St. Louis Demontfort. You need to read this book carefully you need to look at the lives of the Saints, especially Marion Saints. Saints were consecrated to the Virgin Mary Saint Padre, Pio, St. John Vianney, and St. Louis Demontfort, and also Saint Maximilian Kolbe all of these people have always spoken about the profound love of the Virgin Mary and how she was such an incredible tool in their spiritual life. In fact, even St. John Paul, the second would also say that the blessed virgin Mary is such an incredibly powerful mother, and she loves all of us.
I remember once after going to a special Mass and confession , immediately after exiting the chapel I feel I was approached by the Devil. Mary was a handmaid that became more special than any other creature solely for the fact she was chosen to bear Christ. The Incarnation alone makes it clear to Satan that weak human flesh is more worthy of God than he is. It has nothing to do with Mary’s power or lack thereof, but it has everything to do with God. Satan fears Mary because of God. It’s complete jealousy on Satan’s behalf. And if you don’t believe Mary is Queen of Heaven (which is fine, but don’t forget every king’s queen in the Davidic line was the mother of the king), she still has the highest status out of all the creatures in heaven. No creature, besides the Blessed Virgin Mary, has ever had the honor of bearing Christ in their womb, not to mention being an essential component in the story of salvation. That fact alone makes Mary the most important creature in all of human history. More important than the angels and saints, and definitely more important than Satan and his angels.

it's actually quite simple. In ancient Jewish kingdoms, the mother of the King is referred to as the Queen. if Christ is the King of Heaven, and Mary is his mother, then that makes her the Queen of Heaven

Hi Joel, I just wanted to elaborate on what is being said in this clip because at first glance it can be kinda confusing.
Then you can decide what you think of it with some more info.
What they are talking about in this clip is that Satan fears _losing_ to the blessed virgin Mary more than he fears _losing_ to Jesus.
This is specifically _because_ Mary is nothing compared to Jesus by nature, and it is only because she is so humble that she is given any status that she has.
Now, bringing this back to the Devil.
One of the main theories of which sin made the Devil fall, is pride.
Putting himself above God and rebelling against Him.
However, the Devil isn't stupid, far from it.
The point put forward here is that it hurts his pride more to be cast out or pushed back by the prayers of a humble human made of dust, than it hurts his pride to be beaten by the LORD who has all power and majesty from all ages.

@@Youngling24 Ah, and this is a doctrinal difference you may not know about; Catholics and Eastern Orthodox don't believe in the doctrine of Sola Scriptura, (or "Scripture Alone") which means something doesn't _have_ to be explicitly found in the Bible for it to be true.
Instead those traditions have a tripod so-to-speak, of infallible Scripture, Sacred Tradition (not infallible accept in universal acceptance or denial), and a teaching authority (the magisterium) which can be infallible when needed.
Thus the critique about a few peripheral matters (like this current one) that
"that isn't found anywhere in Scripure" doesn't necessarily sink the idea.
I get that is going to sound a little odd (maybe even a lot odd) if you have grown up Protestant (like me) without knowing any Catholics.
However, I encourage you to look further into whether you believe the arguments for or against the doctrine of "Sola Scriptura" because that is really necessary before any of these much smaller things will make sense.

You need to read this book carefully you need to look at the lives of the Saints, especially Marion Saints. Saints were consecrated to the Virgin Mary Saint Padre, Pio, St. John Vianney, and St. Louis Demontfort, and also Saint Maximilian Kolbe all of these people have always spoken about the profound love of the Virgin Mary and how she was such an incredible tool in their spiritual life. In fact, even St. John Paul, the second would also say that the blessed virgin Mary is such an incredibly powerful mother, and she loves all of us.

Mary was a handmaid that became more special than any other creature solely for the fact she was chosen to bear Christ. The Incarnation alone makes it clear to Satan that weak human flesh is more worthy of God than he is. It has nothing to do with Mary’s power or lack thereof, but it has everything to do with God. Satan fears Mary because of God. It’s complete jealousy on Satan’s behalf. And if you don’t believe Mary is Queen of Heaven (which is fine, but don’t forget every king’s queen in the Davidic line was the mother of the king), she still has the highest status out of all the creatures in heaven. No creature, besides the Blessed Virgin Mary, has ever had the honor of bearing Christ in their womb, not to mention being an essential component in the story of salvation. That fact alone makes Mary the most important creature in all of human history. More important than the angels and saints, and definitely more important than Satan and his angels.
