I've been struggling lately with life and everything it's been hitting me with but this show always makes me feel a little better. I teared up a little when Dr Katz started playing his sing for Ben
No because I didn't even know about the show back then I found out about it when I was 14 on a comedy central dvd that had dave chapelle, south park, and dr katz
It my favorite show. It helps me so much, so you couldn't believe. Relationship between Ben and dad help me no go crazy, they turned into my family. It can sounds crazy, but I watch them time to time during 10 years in more dark days. And I learn English with their help. Thanks for video.
This was an amazingly funny show. I loved that no matter how crazy the scenario, Dr. Katz was always looking at it cooly and logically. Very funny stuff.
Can't put ads, its copyrighted. Would get in trouble. Although some companies like The Orchard, or Merlin, steal music/videos and register them on RUclips Content ID as if they were their own. Many artists getting robbed. And RUclips does not take action, despite massive videos showing how they are being robbed. RUclips could get in big trouble if they keep allowing it. RUclips also should retroactively give the money back to the original artists
Try some Steve Dildarian cartoons, like the new "Ten Year Old Tom" and earlier "The Life and Times of Tim". Watching those led to my re-re-rewatching the good Dr. Katz. And I just found out there is audio Dr.Katz as well.
"K like koppleman O like oppleman P like poppleman P like poppleman L like loppleman..... No, listing for a Koppleman. I've got a Rita Kunz." Lol, what would he have said for E
Ben hurt his dad's feelings when he told him he tried too hard back then to be a freewheeler....😆 Did you see his 😢 face!? I just wanted to hug him. God, I love this show.
1. No laugh track. 2. Basically low-key music, nothing brash. 3. No busy backgrounds; in fact, the backgrounds are static and B&W. 4. Everything is quiet and slow, there's no jumping in your face and saying, "HEY! We're going to have a GOOD TIME!!" 5. The voices are real people's voices, not "hyuck hyuck! I'm a goofy guy!" This show was never designed to be a crowd pleaser with mass audience appeal, and that's part of the charm of it. That's its very appeal for me. I do wish there was a teeny bit more "plot," maybe even a seasons-long story arc, but that's quibbling. This is something you watch when you don't want to be troubled by anything. Let's hope to Almighty Zeus they don't remake it or "re-imagine" it or (sigh) do it with live actors.
Very funny musical jokes at 17:30... "Oh that hurts"... Yes, aug9sus6 chords are quite painful, as a "resolution" that is... The way he dances around the finial "are", and arrives at such a destructive conclusion... 😂😂😘🎶! The dialogue is supplementary at that point.
There's an episode where Ben invites her over to stay since she's in town, not sure if that was before or after this episode, but I believe Ben knows what she looks like.
Wow! I actually saw Kathy Griffin's cartoon character, and said to myself, "she looks familiar". This is strange. I didn't know it was her yet, but I recognized her, then looked more closely at the title and said to myself, "Oh yeah, It's Kathy Griffin! Of COURSE that squiggly, poorly drawn cartoon character looks exactly like that actual human being". What the hell's wrong with me?
Now when I’m at the Dr waiting in the room I always wonder if the Dr is really just sitting in their office having a pointless conversation w their 25 yr old kid lol
Any dr kazt fan if you have not found thhe one where he has bob newhart as the guest... the best. ❤ . Crazy so few people know thai show it was wonderully absurd and dry and just a blast
the uhh comedy acts definitely take away from how good the show could be. I'd say they nailed it with home movies though. the naturalistic dialog is where its at. Super jarring to get these weird fake comedy bits intercut.

She was once upon a time, but even her act here hints at the maniac she'd eventually reveal herself to be. That said, I'd argue the 90s was THE era of the comedienne. So many funny women!

such a sweet moment

Hope your doing ok :)
This series helped me through COVID hope that you feel better
same man this episode was so cute
I have been on a Dr. Katz binge-watch. Now I am disappointed when I go to work and my co-workers DON'T squiggle......
I wish Laura was at my job....sigh
I'm bingeing in 2020 and its STILL better than most crap to watch out there!!
Dang. 🤣🤣🤣
Bastards.

Remember back in the 90s when Dr Katz was on Comedy Central all day? What a simpler time.
No because I didn't even know about the show back then I found out about it when I was 14 on a comedy central dvd that had dave chapelle, south park, and dr katz
I watched it late at night when it was new back when I was 13-14, one of the few shows from that era that still holds up.
Yes I watched it non stop
I think Laura singing is the first time we've seen here show any other emotion so far 😅
I saw her speaking affectionately to somebody in Italy once.
It my favorite show. It helps me so much, so you couldn't believe. Relationship between Ben and dad help me no go crazy, they turned into my family. It can sounds crazy, but I watch them time to time during 10 years in more dark days. And I learn English with their help. Thanks for video.

Laura's impersonation of folk.Hilarious.
Laura is an awesome character
Kim Neilson ... Yeah . That's what Hootie and the fucking blowdogs sound like .
Impersonation? You mean that wasn't a recording of Joan Baez? (jk I love Baez, rip)
This was an amazingly funny show. I loved that no matter how crazy the scenario, Dr. Katz was always looking at it cooly and logically. Very funny stuff.
How many of H. Jon Benjamin's characters have been stuck in crawl spaces? Lol
all of them lol
I love the song at the end. "Everything you touch turns to..."
I'm just a guitar picking fool fresh out of guitar picking school
It is exciting when you master guitar picking.
I was obsessed with this show when I was a teenager and I'm so happy it's on RUclips 😊
It's been 17 years since I've seen this episode. Thank you.
its been seven years since you’ve made this comment...

When Kathy Griffen said hey dadeoh this is Trouble and don't give him any lip! Trouble gone cut ya! I fell out laughing!
“honey can you get trouble something to drink??” 😅 10:30
this was so funny, thank you so much for not putting ads on your videos

Very clever show. Almost every episode was top notch.
If Xanax was a show
This is the funniest that Laura has ever been. Absolutely hilarious 😂
I love Dr. Katz singing to Ben. Adorable!
I'm gonna be sad when I run out of these that I havent seen.
I have a solution. Just rewatch them! :)

yess 😅
yeh that was so sad...
it's not always a bad thing though. at least he knows he doesn't have to pretend with his son. it's an open relationship, they know each other.
that whole Koppleman & Katz bit is pure gold
it's brilliant
Arround 6:00, Laura does a very good "Nana Mouskouri" impression... "The trees and the children and the flowers" la la la 🎶
"you're annoying, and i'm your son"
Katz was actually in an R&B group called "Katz and Jammers" A play on words of katzenjammer.
Dr. Katz and Home Movies.
100%. Is there any other shows that are similar?
Damn, 1968 is over 50 years ago! Most of the younger peeps from then don't have much time left.
_HEY DIDDLE-DIDDLE-DIDDLE, HEY DIDDLE-DI-_

This show is now so obscure , the copyright cartel doesnt even bother to take it down 😅 cool that we can enjoy this in youtube

Laura Silverman can do more with a sigh than most actors can do with an entire language.
truth.
Hahaha true
I also noticed Silverman had many great comebacks in her lines, and if they weren't scripted I'm very impressed
thank u for uploading these, loved dr katz late night after pub shift!! xx

Omg I watch Feldman every night on YT now! I’m always bugging the shit out of him.

Koppleman is Bens real mother.
