Before you SKIP AHEAD, this is an ACTUALLY GOOD BEAT AND TUTORIAL! 10/10 with minimal equipment. A lot of these videos either have a studio full of equipment they don't know how to use in the tutorial, or they make a completely horrible generic beat. This was beautiful. I have to watch it again.
Hallelujah brother I appreciate you. Exactly what I been looking for to get my compositions to the next level!!! You hit the nail on the head when you said Black Exploitation Vibes that's exactly the vibe I feel !!
Happy New Year Hill dude! Your videos are so helpful and inspiring, thanks man....have a great year 2025! ❤ Just ot say that the sky cycles are changing BIG TIME this year so pay attention and ride the new wave....🙏
I Love how detailed and straightforward your tutorials are and Im always amazed by how authentic your samples turn out🔥👌💯 This channel is a gem 💎, Keep on bringing us good samples❤️
Man!! Great video! You are by far the best creator I have seen on RUclips ever! Do you have a video of how to actually mix the samples? I always have a problem with my instrument frequencies clashing. Also what is the target loudness for a sample?
Glad you figured out that it wouldn't be something I'm interested in by telling me that I wouldn't be interested in it anyway. 😁 Good video Bromethous. +points for the Dolemite
I appreciate the creative work and talent you have however I honestly recommend to get busy with some guitars and live instruments - its super fun and a lot more authentic to the real thing. I know this based on my personal experience because I have lives both sides professionally and artistically.
Can you elaborate a bit on how you decided which chords to play along with the horn melody you had already established? Also, can you make an edition of this, where you only use freely available intruments / libraries (no Logic stock libraries, since they are only available to Logic users)!
This is going to sound like I'm lying but I play by ear so my understanding of music theory isn't so much that I can do tutorials on it. I can try to make a tutorial that's dedicated to that specifically though.
@@esahm373 Yeah I'll definitely put that on my content plan. I've gotten a few people asking about that so I'll think about the best way I can explain it and I'll make it right away
If you don’t really have an ear for music, you can probably workaround this by finding out the scale of the melody (tunebat, KeyFinder, auto-key, etc) and audition different chords in the scale that sound pleasing to you. Some DAWS have a snap to scale feature that makes this easier and some MIDI keyboards have “one key” chord functionality. Ultimately you just kinda need to have an ear for music. Listen to old similar sounding songs to get an idea too.
@@thurdysixo The easiest thing you can do is actually to learn the basic chords in CMaj and then transpose to any other scale. The rest you mentioned are gimmicks for kids!
This mf is the goat
Yooo!! Appreciate you my guy! 🙏🏾🙏🏾💯💯
Yes he is!!

Thank you 🙏🏾. Ok dope I’ll check it out! I plan on learning guitar eventually but for now I’m definitely looking for a good vst alternative also

Great video as always! Instant Blaxpoitation vibes. I hear Curtis Mayfield or Eddie Kendricks on this 🔥
Appreciate that! Curtis Mayfield is a huge influence on me for soul music 💯
This is a really good video. You just opened my mind to B and C sections. I normally get lazy and stop at the first 8 bars lol
Lol tbh if you can have a lot of success with just a solid a section. I just like putting in that extra work and giving options

That delay piano chord is perfect for a drop🔥
Makes me want to step to a punk-ass jive turkey
Legal is requiring me to say not to do so! lol
This was a great breakdown! What bpm range do you go for with these types of samples?
🙏🏾🙏🏾 it really depends, but for the most part I go anywhere between 65 and 80

Question: Do you know and musician group that makes this type of composition in the 90’s?
You mean soul music from the 90s or just music that sounds like it's from the 90s?
@@thehillsoundssoul music from the 90’s that has this type of vibe.
