The filtering is not a Kanye technique producers were doing this since before Pete Rock and CL smooth its been around for decades. One of the reasons they high pass filtered a sample is because if the left the low end of it, it would create conflict when they added a baseline to the piece. The baselines are very thick and heavy to that genre so it's just not ideal to not filter it. Even though I know how to sample i don't really sample in my music I still think it's so cool and creative to see what can come about a sample from a song that was popular back in the day or possibly forgotten.

I usually put a disclaimer to use at your own risk. That’s why I pretty much quit sampling and selling. I maybe post one sample beat a month out of 25 or so

how do you calculate the uptick in bpm when pitching samples?
There's calculators to find out, but also in Ableton I just pitch it up and change the tempo until it lines up on the grid
@@DillyDGIB Thank you! Also - what's the term for how you chop it up in Ableton at 3:56? That's the main thing I need to learn, not sure what the lingo is for what you did here so not entirely sure how to look it up. If you could explain a lil bit how you spliced the sample in Ableton so that specific components corresponded with piano keys that would be amazing.

you tripping and should be named silly not dilly. $99 for some unknown samples? that is insane.
1. You don't have to buy, nobody is forcing you
2. it's 50 original samples, that I composed, not chopped ones. I've made beats with them myself and they've earned me probably more than $10k, so it's all about how you use them.
@@DillyDGIB as someone who has been a producer and someone who consumes an unknown party can benefit greatly from a small example of your sounds. Hell if that is too much. Maybe put some links to play the samples. Congrats on making 10k maybe you make 30k if you listen to good advice.
