The 70s was an absolute golden age for soul music. Some of my favorite soul music from that time period came from the Blaxploitation films that were coming out at the time. In this video I show you how to make soulful samples in the style of those classic compositions made my legends like Isaac Hayes for films like Shaft.

Great video, always good to see how things might be replicated from scratch. But something that would help folks like myself who sometimes struggle to see how the pieces add up (especially in the early stages), you should periodically play everything you have so far. Can group them how ever they make sense, for example after laying down instruments A, B, and C, play ABC; after D, E, and F, play DEF, and then play ABCDEF, and so on. I’m sure I’m not the only one who learns well this way.

thank you fam. next video is dropping in a couple of hours and I'm filming the one after that tonight. Yeah bro I'm a huge advocate of using what you have to get as good as you can. I used mostly stock plugins and "basic" libraries to get most of my early placements.
@@thehillsounds well I don't enough pocket but I use mpc1000 FL studio 21 with nice plugins and I play live bass n keyboard it's all I do mate.
