  • Grammar is being tough to many English learners. For example, they might not realize that the previous sentence does not need a present continuous tense, but rather a present simple tense (Grammar is tough…). In this video, we’ll look at the situation in which you need to use the simple present tense and help you avoid costly mistakes in your test (IELTS, TOEFL, Etc. ) writing.

    Hi Adam , could you be so kind as to say which is correct: I go on a business trip(= official plan) 2moro and I am going on a business trip tomorrow? To what extent the plan must be official? It's clear when we talk about the time a film starts or a train leaves, but it is not clear about other cases. Thank you!

    At the duration of 9:58, Puppies are brought to the seniors home every Thursday -> here brought is past tense verb, but I guess that we have to use present tense verb right?

    • @shwetawadhwa6375
      @shwetawadhwa6375 5 лет назад

      "Are brought" is the passive of the transitive verb "bring." In this sentences, the puppies are the highlight. They are brought to the seniors, and who brings them to the seniors is not a relevant question here. Therefore, the passive voice is correct here. Am I right, Adam?
