I purchased all the parts on oemfordpartsdirect, purchased the recommended forscan device. Followed the video from start to finish plus watched another video on how to download and use forscan and now my 2023 f150 xlt has bed lights! Thank you for providing this video and information!
Just did this on my 2023 Lariat that didn’t come with the bed lights. Bought all the parts from Tasca Parts. Followed him exactly and now I got fully functional bed lights! Thank you so much for the tutorial!
Worked perfectly. I thought ford removed the pigtail entirely but evidently they did not. Works great. These forscan changes are spot on. 2022 xlt with zone lighting
Your video is great 👏🏼 I just have one question for u I did the install and lights works with the switch and zone lighting controls, just curious why the light do not turn on when I walk to the truck like the one on the top ? Is it supposed to work only with switch or turning your zone lighting on ?
I added them to my 2023 XL150. When I push the switch the light on back of cab and puddle lights on the mirrors come on but no rear bed lights. Sounds like I need to do this forescan deal. I’ve taken it to dealer with no luck. Any help is appreciated.
I have a 2022 Lariat (502a). It came with the lights. They come on by themselves, but i have no switch. Do you think if i do this, I might not have to do the Forscan part?
Just checked my 24-xlt and I am suspecting ford changed the harness on the underside of the truck. I do not have anywhere to plug this light harness into.
I have a 2023 STX with all the dummy plugs underneath the bed. I have the dummy covers in the bed for the switch and the lights and I have the forscan and the OBD plug. I want to order the parts, but I’m afraid that they might not come on after everything is done. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
No issues so far. Still look and work like brand new. Hopefully they last many more years. The glass in the mirrors is already powered but the folding mechanism is manual I likely will leave it stock as I would virtually never use the power folding feature. Sorry.

Once you get it downloaded, you need to enable the software license, after you do that just connect it to the truck (both physically and digitally) and then follow what my video says. Hope that helps.
It honestly pisses me off that my 15xlt, and my 801 raptor had these but a lightning with pro power and zone lighting, they just decided to not include it. There are lights everywhere on this truck, why did u cut corners on this. End rant

You’ll almost certainly have to turn everything on with forscan. I believe no power flows to it until the computer knows it’s there. No idea why.
Great video. I've got a '24 Lariat 501A and don't appear to have the plug w/ dummy plug that you do on yours.
Hmmm that’s odd. I wonder if ford scrapped it on the 24’s to save a nickel.

Looks like you have spray in bed liner, were your dummy plugs sprayed over and did you have to cut the liner to remove them?
No I didn’t. Looks like it was taped off correctly. Getting the liner delayed my truck a few weeks but at least they did that part correctly.
