Hey🖐 I recently bought one of these!
I dont know if you still have this detector but after looking into batteries I came across industrial batteries... Procell Constant or Procell intense! 10 for say £10 online. They use them in Music industries and stage equipment or say warehouse equipment that needs to last longer.
Lithium batteries are good also for this detector! I contacted First Texas products who own the Fisher brand now and they where extremely helpful and comfirmed that they are suitable, they mentioned that the lithium will only hold a 8.4v -8.8v charge but that it will stay steady at that for longer than a Alkaline... but the lithium will drop off suddenly! Where as the Alkaline drop off slowely and give you warning!
The major thing I read was that as the battery capacity starts dropping, so does the depth/performance of the detector! which is another thing to take into consideration! As the battery indicator gets low, apparently the detector can start playing silly bugger!

Same. One of the very best metal detector testers of all time, in my opinion. Todd shames the so-called testers and the silly name affix company "testers". 'No mads'? 😵‍💫.

I noticed your battery bars had dropped one bar! which would have effected the depth of this detector, as the battery volts drop so does the reach

Would love to see this vs G2+ with stock 11" DD coil. :) Thanks for doing so many tests for us.

The results will be identical if the G2+ is fitted with the standard issue 5x10 DD coil that comes with the F19 package. Same goes for the F19 when fitted with the standard issue 7x11 DD as comes with the G2+ package, and vice- verce... Both MD's have identical First Texas 19kHz software/control boxes. The only difference between them is the ergonomics ( 'S' stem F19 ; 'Pistol-Grip' G2+).

@@timrogers2045 I think the 11' DD stock coil on G2+ would fair much better than the F19 with smaller coil.

@@linr2870 For sure Lin, however if you want to significantly gain depth, whilst retaining very good separation/recovery speed, go buy a Detech Ultimate 13" Coil. I've dug thin section silver hammered groats at 9"s easy in good soil. That's impressive for a 19 kHz MD that's designed for finding low conductivity targets (gold), and not silvers! Also the Detech 13 works just fine in iron, and pin-points bang on. Been using the Detech 13 for last 9 months exclusively, so it's been trialled thoroughly. Hope this helps. ATB

most machines will give a good signal when u swing over a lot of iron similar to hitting a coin. to be a true test would have to do a test without the coin. just the nails. great test garden mr. love ur vids mr great job. also wondering why u would set ur v-break that high. most would set it a little under the nickle range or so.

out of curiosity ,have you tried the f19 on a silver dollar in air? . the goldbug doesnt pick up pure silver dollars (i,m assuming f19 will be same.,or upto a year or so ago ,when fisher started tweaking that pot a touch to pull them in.
my g2 clone should arive in a couple of weeks ,i will do a video of it on the silver crown i have and show how the small coil goes from zero" to 10" with that 1/8 anti clockwise tweak.

You're not using one of the main features of the F19 that would knock out those nails you have around the coins- "Notch Mode"- it will only read the coin when you have the notch set to knock out the iron. Major feature of the F19!

@@luckylarudy His swing speed is way too slow as well, if he swung this slow with a '75 he would find very little, and the 75 is only 13kHz. I know, I've used a 75 for 5 plus years, and still use it, and a brisk swing speed is essential. .
