Superb tutorial. I am new to crochet, but you have such lovely work I am pushing myself to learn as much as I can and to progress along with your tutorials as my knowledge and skills increase. I love the fact that you do so many repeats. I get your voice in my head after listening several times and I am starting to be able to learn without having to watch every stitch. Keep sharing the love and your knowledge. Please know how much I appreciate you, your time, and your wonderful way of teaching. You send good vibes with each tutorial and that just enhances my confidence that I CAN do this and I WILL do this. Thank you again for keeping me inspired and pushing me to learn and do more. I have become a crochet addict, even dreaming about it.
I make blankets, shawls, beanies, etc. I give everything to homeless shelters. Nursing facilities and anyone else that wants them. I've made quite a few of this pattern for the Nursing facility and they love ❤️ them. The funny thing is that when they used them for Bingo the residents argue over who is winning one. So you see Craig your patterns are very much loved! It gives me great joy in donating everything I make. And since your great tutorials are awesome, YOU give them happiness , warmth and joy! Thank you so much for what you do.
its my first time to go along this pattern and it was easy ... the reason its 30mins long is because you ensure that we get the hang of it and indeed it was.... been a subscriber of your channel for years yet this is the first time i have followed along and it was fun.... thank you....
This is BEAUTIFUL!! I love the "Shawl in a Ball" yarn too! I LOVE your tutorials, I am so thankful for video tutorials because I have a hard time with the written tutorials. I am a very visual person, I can follow a video just fine, but sorting out a written pattern makes me crazy! I can do it, BUT it takes me forever! So thank you! PLUS I just adore listening to you, you are such a nice young man, I just love listening to your instructions! :)
I love your tutorials and don't worry about being redundant because this is how a lot of us learn the pattern. I can't read diagrams very well so I rely on what I visually see . I enjoy listening to you and discovering , learning the new patterns you want to share with us and for being you. :-)
Not sure if you guys cares but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can stream all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last days xD
Your tutorials are THE BEST!! You don't just do a few rows and leave us to flounder. Because of you I was able to complete a virus shawl and made an additional 2 shawls. Thank you for your time and patience.
Another beautiful shawl! You are a natural, gifted teacher... Thank you so much, for taking the time to make these wonderful tutorials, as well as your “stories”. Since I discovered the world of uTube, I have come to understand that I am a visual learner... Repetition is essential to the learning process fir most of us... Cimbine the two, and you have a clear winner..👍👍💜
Greetings! I bought Shawl in a Ball today and once I got home wanted to see what you had to offer for a video. What good fortune! I am thrilled that you have the Trellis and Fan tutorial! Thank you for sharing your incredible talents.
I wanted to take a moment to thank you. I have spent the last two days starting and stopping numerous shawls. Ran across you tutorial. Yea!!! Love it. Very clear and not too much extra. Great job! You have a new fan!!!
You nailed another pretty shawl pattern!! I've watched it thru once and am now ready to rewatch it with my yarn and hook to follow along! I'd just like to say how much I appreciate and enjoy all of your tutorials. I don't think I'd ever learned how to make a virus shawl had it not been for you, so a big thank you!!♡ Now I've made more than I can count for charity work and gifts. I'm currently making virus shawls for Christmas gifts. I've got three down and three more to go and I'll have my Christmas shawls finished.
I start mine project while was in the plane flight from Europe, 6 hours and I am almost done. Thank you thank you. From the written instructions I could never figure out. You are a blessing on my yarn-crochet life, my friend Marcia Drarteira introduces your videos to me,
I stumbled across your page by accident, and its the happiest accident i ever had, I love this "Trellis & Fan Shawl" and am about half way through making it, Thank you very much x
Hi Spiderman, just went thru tutorial again with my 7mm hook and Shawl in a ball, in Community Coral. This feels like a mini version of Virus pattern...LOVE it and YES you are HELPFUL! 😍😘❤😅🎵
Hi! I just discovered your channel yesterday. What an awesome "find"! I just love the Fan and Trellis Shawl. Also your voice and personality are just perfect for showing anyone "how to". I've checked out many other crochet videos where the "teacher" sounds bored, rattled, hyper or mumbles in monotone. You have a beautiful, calm and fun voice. Absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, patterns and creativity. I'm really looking forward to checking out past, as well as any future videos. 🙂
You are amazing!! I love Caron cakes as much as you. Caron cakes are the reason I started crocheting again. I have made ten kerchief scarves in two months. I was getting so bored until I found you channel. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and love of crocheting.

Thank you for this lovely tutorial! A very nice pattern and easy as well. I love your tutorials, they are so easy to follow and you have a nice voice to listen to also ☺️ that is very important for me ☺️ if you don’t have a nice voice, talk fast or if you don’t do a lot of repeats, it’s almost impossible to learn the pattern. So than you so very much for all your lovely tutorials! Lots of love from Malin in Sweden ❤️❤️❤️
Hello!!!! Very clear tutorials....N I C E !!!...first things first where do buy or get your beautiful yarns...can’t find them at any local yarn stores....
just received my shawl in a ball yarns from america because we dont have it in australia fiber spider. so excited to put down other projects to start this one
I constantly browse Pinterest for ideas to share with you all, and a lot of the time I come across patterns that are only images of schematic representations of the pattern. Writing/translating patterns isn't my strong suit, but I still like to try and make the items. I just try to do the best that I can and hope my tutorials will suffice 🙂
Oh!! Yarnivores, not Yarn Whores. LOL!! I need to get my hearing checked, lol. I am absolutely obsessed with Shawl in a Ball from Lion Brand. I am currently using that line in metallics, Prism, and it is the most exciting commercial yarn I have worked with in a very long time. I'm more of a yarnaholic, and I have a wonderful husband that enables that addiction, #blessed.
Elizabeth Reichlin I’m lucky that way too. My husband puts up with my yarn wall (he even assembled a yarn cubby shelf that pretty much takes up a whole wall), and the totes hogging up his side of the closet lol. #wereallyare😉
What is the weight of yhe yarn. I am trying a 3 and using the size hook they recommend but having a hard time getting started with this one. I have made quite a few of your shawls following your tutorials because you make it so easy. This one is just giving me a hard time. I love the colors I have and thought it would look great. Just can't seem to get it right.
Just to let you know your summarizations of repeats and tips are very helpful. Also, although it may seem redundant at the end of your tutorials I have memorized the pattern.
Love this shawl, am making it now. I would love to make a Solomon stitch shawl, there are a couple of youtubers who have a tutorial but I can’t follow them. You are so good at explaining each step to make a shawl, very clear instructions, could you do a tutorial on the Solomon knot shawl plz. ❤️
Another Great pattern and tutorial. Do you know your videos are awesome? I have done all but 1. This one is next. May use some merino fingering I have in my stash. Thanks again.
I love Shawl in a Ball and this colorway. In fact I like ALL of their colorways and especially Healing Teal. I have one request though. When you give a hook size will you include the millimeters as well..pretty please?
You're the best. I'm wondering if you could come up with a pattern like this for a hexagon. I want to make the 2-hexagon cardigan and just the plain granny stitch is so boring. If anyone can do it, it's you. Love you.
OMG i absolutely love your tutorials. I cant get enough time to crochet. i could not wait to retire to crochet all i wanted. You are the greatest. I watched your tutorial on the new package you received and it included a yarn by the name of Ombre Life:??? if i am correct. I cannot find this yarn anywhere Spider can you help me out. I would appreciate it. Thanks Bunches

Just love the pattern, and your cautionary tale of stitches or increases, what have you, THANK YOU 😘♥️🦋🌺🎉
Many thanks for all your tutorials, every one is a winner! 😊

Hi fiber spider!! I would like to know how many rounds did you make and how much grams of yarn. It's a beautiful shawl. Thanks so much GBU:)
Can the butterfly stitch be used to make an afghan? I've made 5 shawls with this stitch but I think it would make a beautiful afghan.
Today at Hobby Lobby I ran into a big surprise !! Shawl in the ball for 2.49 vs 8.99 reg. Price. i got 4. Then i looked on youtube for a specific shawl n the Ball shawl video and lo and behold who has one you and whats the colorway you used ? Same as mine Restful Rainbow woopi woopie woop pi.

Beautiful thanks
I love your tutorials, but for this one could you add a link for the graph? Thanks.
tfs🌹lovely shawl
Do you have a video on How to make a skull shawl????
To me the top straight edge looks a bit unfinished in this one. But I'm just a self taught learner. Keep up the tutorials you make things clear and easier to see what's going on with the pattern. Mwah thanks for the help. Don't know if we have shawl in a ball in Aust on camera it looks a bit like mohair. Love the colour.
I prefer clean edges, often without adding additional edging. In this case I was following a schematic pattern. If you prefer a different look, go for it, variety is the spice of life 😉 And yes, the yarn does have quite a mohair texture although I believe it's an acrylic/cotton blend.
I would like to see a Shaw done with the shawl in a ball yarn. It's very difficult to work with. Wanted to see you work with it.
Is there any way to get written instructions for this shawl?
Where may I buy this pattern?
Size G (4mm) hook and 2 balls of Shawl in a Ball?
I'd love this in a rectangle with Shawl in a Ball. Has anyone converted the pattern or can give me a clue how to get started? Please🙏🙏🙏🙏
