    Fashion Nova has taken the fashion industry by storm, and not much is known about it’s billionaire founder Richard Saghian. In this episode, we’re going to be taking a deeper look at the brand - including t’s early days as a store in Los Angeles malls, it’s insane growth on Instagram, and partnerships with celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Cardi B.

      This man is helping these women to have No! Self Respect for themselves. This is Not! Fashion, it is highly Trashy...women must always have self respect for themselves. A woman is supposed to let the man have his imagination of them, but now day's these women are Not! Letting the man have their imagination, because they are showing just about every part, and every inch of their body, and again i say Absolutely Trashy. I am woman, and this is Not! The way any lady should sport herself in a Trashy attire, this man is making money off these women who has No! Self Respect, this is truly horrible on so many levels. I have three granddaughter's, and I bet Not! catch them looking like a Harlot. They are still school age children, but I am teaching them to have self respect for themselves...you must teach the girl's early on in their life about having self respect. I tell you the truth you don't have to dress like that to look good. These young girl's are seeing these women how they are dressing, and they probably think it is okay...but No! It is Not! Okay, that's why I will always let my granddaughter's know how they should to present themselves in today society. I don't care what the world is saying, every woman should keep the Respect for themselves; Point Blank.

CELEBRITIES are intentionally dropping weight with ozempic now, tho. let’s differentiate cause the average individual that’s changing their looks to what they want (even if it is based off of how most women on social media look now) do not look like skeletons or like outlandish drawings of women cause most won’t suffer from eugenia cooney levels of eating disorders, they don’t have open access to ozempic, and-on the other extreme-they don’t have money for ugly ass bbls. let’s be more discerning during this discussion because most people are not obtaining results with the intentions or methods the celebrities that encourage this fuckery are.

    I don't understand your reasoning here. Fashion Nova produces clothes intended for clubbing. So first of all, these clothes will not be used a lot and no one really needs a lot of these clothes. It was founded because it is unacceptable to be photographed twice in the same outfit. So instead of having 2 good quality outfits you can now have 20, 40 or however many outfits because they are cheap. And you don't have to wear any of these more than once (due to the quality, you probably won't be able to use them more than once anyway), what a great concept. And you mean Fashion Nova doesn't know what the consequences are? This is really ridiculous. Fashion Nova wants to make money, no matter what the impact on the environment and society is, and they know what they're doing.

      I didn’t get the vibe that the video was pro-Fashion Nova vs just explaining its rise, but I agree that all these companies know very well what’s going on in manufacturing their cheap clothes. I don’t this video explained the transition from local manufacturers to international ones very well. We all know if clothes are being made in the US there is at least a legal obligation for fair pay, so if they maintain local contracts that’s something fairly positive.

    • @gee_emm
      @gee_emm Год назад +2

      @@13realmusic Great comment. But I too got the impression that this video let FN off the hook a little too easily. Saying it’s not the brands fault, it’s the manufactures, and other brands do it too. Not a very convincing argument. Hard to justify the labour exploitation when you are living in one of the most expensive mansions in LA.

    I’m sorry to say, but many of the facts in this video are very wrong. I spent over 30 years in fashion industry, and I’m now retired at the age of 51. The way fashion nova started as he would only go out and buy stock quantities from the downtown Alley. He never did any sort of cut ups or quantities in advance and no it is absolutely impossible to turn anything around in 24 hours. I don’t care if it’s the most basic item it will not happen you have to buy fabric and it takes the fabric 24 hours just to relax before you can even cut it let alone sew it. Up until only a few years ago. This is how his business model was. He went out into the alley, and he only bought stock items that were hanging in the Korean market. Recently he did bring in Greg Scott, who if you know anything about fashion is quite a person to bring on board. Greg Scott used to run BEBE. He ran bebe for most of bebe’s life. He then went and ran Arden B, after Arden b, Greg spent about 13 years at New York and Company. He is now at fashion nova and he is a very very strong merchandiser. If they do any sort of cut ups which means they are placing orders in advance. It is a very small portion of their business, and they absolutely do not work with 1000 vendors. No company in the world would work with 1000 vendors that would create so many losses. As a matter of fact, when retail is tough vendor bases shrink. They shrink the vendor bases so that the fenders can feel more important. The ones that are left standing and they will give the client better deals. In addition, the owner of fashion nova’s family was in fabric for many many years.

    I do love this channel for fashion brand history. However that was a vague and dissatisfying breakdown of world economics. It is not the consumers responsibility to ensure they are consuming ethically. Individualized responsibility doesn’t make any sense. if we’re being honest, this mentality is not helping. firstly, it is the governments job to make sure a business is ethical and there must be more legislature in place to make sure this happens. then it is the company’s. manufacturers supplying cheap labor is a result of American and European demand for resources and colonization. We will not see any progression in ethics in late stage capitalism because there are virtually no regulations these businesses are required to adhere to.

Big, small, overweight, underweight, cheap, expensive…you name it, he made it. Yes controversies happened, but one thing that doesn’t is making buyers feel like garbage for not wearing size 10, while not making things exclusively for plus size which massively ups the prices (not sure why exclusively plus companies do that). That’s my 5 cents haha.
