    I always say that fat transfer is way better than fillers in every case and the result is much more natural but it have to be done in very expert hands

      there are pros and cons to both but overall I think fat transfer is a better technique, albeit more invasive.

    Thank you Dr Goodwin. Seriously looking into this.
    Is this nanofat the same as stem cell therapy under the eyes?? Also could the jowls be harvested and the fat used in the mid cheek area for a little lift. Maybe put some fat into the posterior jaw too to enhance jowls more. Thank you for these videos super helpful. ❤

      fat cannot remove jowls. only lifting. nano fat and stem cell are probably the same thing. thanks for watching,

    Thank you Dr. Goodwin. Would someone who had a HA injected in a tear through area be a good candidate for a lipofilling in the same area? Would HA filler have any impact on fat transfer? How long would you need to wait to do a fat transfer after HA filler injected in the same area?

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  2 месяца назад

      sadly HA causes scarring which ,ales fat uptake less predictable. its not a non starter but its cause for extra consideration.

      @@adamgoodwinsurgery Thanks a lot for a prompt reply. I'm thinking about fat transfer (lipofilling) to treat my under eyes hollows, but am not sure yet. I though to inject HA filler in the meantime until I will decide if I will do a lipofilling or not. I have 2 more questions please:
      1. What might cause lumps and bumps under eyes after a fat transfer (lipofilling)? Can it be avoided?
      2. I'm skinny person and one doctor told me that micro fat injected under my eyes (lipofilling) will be visible in this area on my face and didn't recommend me to do it.
      When I came to know about the lipofilling treatment for the under eye hollows, I had such high hopes. But I see that doctors either strongly against it, or very encouraging about this method. I'm totally lost now.
      Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts!

    Do you have any information on the success rate of fat transfer patients who have casually smoked? Maybe a handful of times a year for several years. Do you think the fat would be a lot less likely to survive or is that statistic more true of regular smokers?

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  Год назад +4

      good question. there is no data but many factors can affect the viability of grafted fat. active smoking certainly makes a difference but previous filler, thin faces, previous surgery all decrease the viability.

    Dr Adam, I had chin lipo where too much fat was removed causing an indent, is fat transfer an option for this area to correct? I really don’t want anymore big surgery like a neck lift, I just want my old fat neck back and to look normal again. I feel deformed and look so much older than my 40 years. Is there any hope for me. I am in manchester. Thanks.

    You said to dissolve existing filler 1st, but I had Radiesse placed in cheeks, which is not HA, so can’t be dissolved. Is that correct? If so, does that mean I’m not a candidate?

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  Год назад +1

      radiesse cannot be dissolved. it causes a scar reaction which creates the volume. it still falls and fades over time though so not to be ruled out.

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  Год назад +1

      it cannot be dissolved. it doesnt mean you can't have FT but the conversation about what can be achieved would be slightly different.

    You said transferring abdominal fat to face is not good but why don't you just transfer double chin fat to labial folds and marionette lines? Wouldn't that work much better? Because it is fat harvested from the face rather than an abdomen.

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery

    I had no idea that fat taken from the abdomen still thinks it’s abdomen fat after being injected into the face and will impact the face in the event of weight gain😳
