As a thrash metal fan who grew up on 70's Top 40 radio as a kid, I remember thinking this was totally fucking awesome when I first watched it on TV in 1993, and I still feel the same.
58 years old and although I've known of and enjoyed Faith no more whenever they've come on the radio, but I'm only now actually seeking the bands music out and finding all these songs I knew but didn't realise we're actually sung by fnm. Gotta agree with you about his vocal range, that clip was the first live performance I've seen and it was mighty impressive. Just wish I'd have 'discovered' fnm when they were actually producing music and touring. Talk about miss the frigging bus
Man, when they came out and performed this song after starting the show with "Midlife Crisis", you can tell they gave the audience a serious case of blue balls.
This is fucking great. The band fucking off and Mike walking around holding the mic wire like a cruise ship lounge singer. This is pathetically easy for him and He's kind of making a joke about it. The other 99.9% of the people on the planet dream of being able the sing like this.
this reminds me of my mom which went to school with mike, thats how she used to call him, he has the best voice for live action and his piercing is the best in the world
He's so funny. I feel like he's a bit bored with this song and he's trying to have fun by making sounds and faces. His range is great, but all that he can do with his voice is magnificent. An artist
Mike always goofs off live. I think he mentioned getting bored with playing the same songs night after night for months on end so he ends up doing and adding in goofy stuff when performing live.
Stayed up late to tape this on VHS Still have it .....great band Miss Jim .....Mike great voice front man .........Robert Downey jr look a like Jim's cool footwear on the pedals
I honestly never heard them sing something so serious until I heard them sing this. He looks like such a wise guy and doesn't appear to look like he can sing this song the way he does. I mean Lionel Richie does an amazing job but so does Mike Patton.
great great song's thank's 😎 👊 🎩 Mike Patton is Phsyco lol My God He's beautiful. I was gonna say "no homo" but now I'm not sure. Todavía no encuentro un mejor cover :)
live @ The Tonight Show (1993)

30 years ago!! Holy hell I’m OLD! Lol. Still here though
This is awesome. He looks like he was out with his girlfriend at some karayoke bar and got talked into going up and singing this and.. kills it.
Best comment ever because I can totally picture this 😂
That was the handy thing about the grunge era.
No dressing up required!
And not much technical ability. Though he is actually top notch.
@@BWater-yq3jx brother killed the vocals on this. So wild he tossed this gem out, and it seems like it was a flick of the wrist for him. Incredible

Man, he sounds just like if you were listening to a recording, incredible voice, only a few musicians can sound as good live as in a studio.
Patton might be the super-coolest white boy on the planet. His edge still hits different 30 years later.
That voice. Not a single bill in the world could trade for that voice
What a voice and a talented band. Great
39 people can only dream of having a vocal range like Mike Patton.

And the very next thing I see is that they will be touring here in Melbourne in 2022. Unreal. I know who I'll be seeing next year.
You know Patton's laughing at the hilarious attempt at a chorus by his bandmates.
He is the Swiss Army Knife of singestry
I love how weird he is. The end he backs up and just stares with a smile.
More like a look of contempt towards the audience.
He looks high af at end lmao
And Jim just standing there with his arms hanging down by his sides.
lol right?
almost gay kkkkkkk 😢
What a great voice

They really owned this song. It's not theirs but they owned it. I love it.
In pure 90s VHS quality no doubt...

Reminds me of Robbie Williams style of performing back in the day lol, love Mike, with that voice he can afford to be a goofball on stage.
Studio-like vocals
great song's thank's 😎 👊 🎩

He was about to take us somewhere when he sang “I wanna be high” then held it off. Sounded amazing though.

Patton's voice is great but has nobody clocked the tone from Big Jim's Flying V? Unreal 🔥
he looks like a white eazy-e wth that hat on lol
There are singers with big voices and then there's Mr Mike-eater Patton-power!
Que tremenda voz la de Mike, gran banda FNM.
Mike Patton el maestro!!
He could sing for sure.
This is the most Ween thing I've seen since I last saw Ween. 😎
Nossa o cara canta igualzinho a versão de estúdio. Difícil hoje em dia uma banda manter a mesma voz.
My moms keyboard went to piercing with Mike Pattons vocal range.
♥️

I personally think Mike sings it better than the original

I don’t think the sound quality of this video is doing the performance justice
They *really* didn't care about that performance .. :D

My mom went to school with this kid
I have a feeling that Brandon boyd copied Mike Patton’s singing style. Brandon boyd sounds exactly the same but a little bit less vocal bass

Looks like mikey was hitting the res bull on top of the Marshall stack. 😂
I hear a lot of "incubus" in his vocal style in this one. I know this predates them, but i was wondering why it sounded so familiar.
That’s it! I was trying to figure out whose vocal style this reminded me of.
I didn't know Tom Delonge plays the bass in Faith no More
espectacular!!! todos!!
Jim Martin. When the roadie who is better than the lead guitarist is the lead guitarist
