The flood was one of the best things they did in halo it fit perfectly fine
Indeed, its awful that 343 didn't make them an official apparition on halo 4 an 5. They seems forget the reason why rings was created for.
@@davidenriquericardofernand2577 The problem is that people would bitch and complain about Halo 3’s ending being pointless if they bring back the Flood (which they did)
Ever since reading the books, the flood have been especially chilling to me. I kinda love the idea of something that horrible.
And it makes John braver by default when you remember what it was like for him as a kid, and that he was destined for this. Honestly, the transition from child, to man, to something Legendary, is something only Halo could pull off for it to be that fresh in our memories.
Best atmosphere in any game.
methane?
Halo 2 always been my game
So funny that whenever you hear the shotgun and you know the marines are nowhere in sight, you know its the flood haha
5:22 that flood horde sound is creepy as hell
I miss the good old days.
Such a legendary game. That music. Glad I played it on my original XBOX. Great times.
We had this on my Mom’s XBOX, but something was wrong with our disc and I was never able to play this level
@@Jay-fb1dg Word? This mission was fun but annoying as hell cause of the flood bro. Yea idk what happened to my OG Xbox it’s been so long.
@@Therealmoseslupai the flood were an irritating enemy, but other than that the game was a pretty good experience. I hope to be able to play it again someday
@@Jay-fb1dg oh for sure that’s a big fact
Love the music
The place at the end, the prophets sanctum, where you can pickup the energy sword is where you extract cortana in halo 3. But I guess that makes sence considering its the same place where the prophets held guilty spark for interrogation.
Oh Cortana, if only you knew the perks of being the main character.
she couldn't come with him. Look at her sadness
I was just thinking:
Why didnt cortana just decide to blow up high charity instead of waiting for tartarus to activate halo? When he finally did cortana obviously did nothing (probably being stopped by the gravemind). And if the ring wasnt going to be activated then there would still be a flood army roaming around freely.
I guess she simply didnt want to take the chance of the detonation being halted like in halo ce and chief had no time to go to the in amber clad himself to do the job.
Yeah, to this day I never understood why High Charity didn't immediately go off like a giant nuke the moment that energy pulse exited Halo's atmosphere in the end cutscene, if not before. My headcanon is that the Gravemind locked her out of the system before she could but still, I don't think there was ever any kind of explanation.
1:07 That was actually cool! Just a stamp for me!
Move along!
That ending cutscene is so heroic
Can someone explain the Gravemind's quotes to me?
"Arrogant creatures, your deaths will instantaneous, while we shall suffer the progress of infinitude!"
"We exsist together now, two corpses in one grave."
*will be instantaneous
Basically he means the flood is going to wipe them out. Their individual deaths aren’t quick but in relative time to how long the Gravemind and the flood have been alive, it will be very quick in his perspective. It’s basically “while your little tiny empire will die in less time than it took to create it, I will be everlasting”, referring to how the flood just simply never die or are permanently defeated. It’s like, he’s so old that time almost doesn’t matter to him. The covenant’s reign, to him, is like a minute or so. While he is immortal. So when he says “your deaths will be instantaneous”, he means the covenant have the mercy of dying now while the gravemind has to endure the rest of time itself.
Two corpses, one grave refers to himself, of course, and the corpse of the covenant, high charity being their shared grave.
@@Starkiller-fc4kkNot really, the Gravemind is talking about when Halo gets activated the Covenant will die instantly, while the Flood will slowly starve to death. He's lashing out because he's pissed. "We shall *suffer* the progress of infinitude"
Obviously, Chief isn't one to emote, but that slight lean backwards when Cortana tells him that she needs to stay in the system to detonate In Amber Clad is all we need to see to know his thoughts.
7:13 We exist together now. Two corpses in one grave.
High Charity Suit.

Yeet goes the flooded pelican
Love this level:-)
As soon as I could I always just grabbed a bruteshot and kept it the entire level. Better than a sword I think.
Your pal. Where’s he going?
Why would you waste the sword on brutes and the shotgun on grunts? Just use the brute shot melee, it literally kills anything with one or two hits.
You know if cortana was to blow up In amber clad, she wouldn't survive the blast nor the gravemind, I wonder how Halo 3 would play out if that would've happened
Definately my favorite level, hello Mr. VezuviusProductions, I am currently preparing a video on Halo's IAs, I would like to ask your permision to include footage from your video, you know I have my own, the thing is... well my game is in Spanish (greetings from the lands of Mexico btw) and definately Jen Taylor's work is amazing and even a sexier voice than the Spanish version of cortana
We will both agree that Cortana is very "caliente".
Those who have disliked this...I wish you the best
