Arbiter fighting in Flood Hell to help Chief get out, need more of that in Infinite
“Who would be crazy enough to come in here” Thel with a flamethrower, that’s who
There's crazy, then there's balls so big you have trouble walking like a Human.
She said to MC who literally just fought his way through the place to save her😂
That's when I had an awkward crush on Thel. He had me at flamethrower.
Who would win?
Giant space ship full of flood
One jumping boi
20:40 Cortana: "You two made nice, what else did you do?"
Chief: "It's a long story..."
20:16 was my favorite part becuase i love how she reacts to arbiter being there after saying that
20:17 that moment when we see Thel with the flamethrower was epic as a kids.
I find it disturbing when you approach the pelican prior to finding Cortana and I believe you can hear her crying 'there is no escape'.
One of the best missions from a narrative standpoint in the entire series. Chief literally going on a suicide run in a flood infested ship to find his A.I. waifu, but on the other hand one of the most brutally unforgiving levels in all of Legendary Halo campaigns
Nah it's just another sexist damsel in distress story.
@@1Buttonmasher If you actually read the novels and understood the context it’s not sexist. She managed to resist the Gravemind for quite awhile before eventually being broken by the Gravemind. Chief needed her because she knew how to destroy the flood without firing the Halo arrays. Jesus christ have you ever played the game?
@@ketchup2147 thanks for the completely unnecessary explanation and context that was absolutely not needed that we were all aware of.
@@lopey5035 you're welcome
The most unforgiving level on legendary would have to be The Library or Gravemind.
Edit: Or the Sabre flying sections in Halo Reach.

It is essential for the viewer/player to remember the Flood are a relatively new threat for humans. It's something horrible that has precipitated, and needs to be dealt with.
The Sangeli KNOW of the flood. They have legends, stories, their religion includes the idea of those creatures.
So this is like hearing that your alien friend went into a den of Demons, and making the choice to go in after them.
I hate that Arbiter wasn't characterized enough in 3 the same way he was in 2 (because of the idiot philistines who GENUINELY don't know how to think or feel emotion in equal parts), but they gave him due respect in 3
What the funniest part about it is out of all the non extinct races the Humans and Prophets ancestors had more experience fighting the flood than any other species.
However all records of their alliance and strategy to fight the flood was lost because the Didact erased all evidence of an advanced human civilization outside of like 2-3 lost ships.
I'd love to get a game or tv show based on the ancient humanity/flood/forerunner war.
And then High Charity was destroyed. I sure hope a later game doesn't just forget that ever happened.
Bruteshot > Flood
15:50 when a halo clan joins a social match
Being the Chief brings the horror aspect down a tiny bit. But base a game strictly on this level but only being a soldier or something similar and you have a crazy scary setting and eldritchesque horror story.
Cortana after seeing arbiter: wait you two made nice? what else did you do?
Chief: Oh not much, just killed truth and basically won the whole war.
15:50 Wow, sounds like Gravemind is either taking a massive dump or a big ass burp.
I vote massive dump
Same here it is really funny cracks me up every time 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Explosive diarrhea
i got hyped when i saw arbiter
2:25 This scene confused me and creeped me out when I first played.
In the Halo universe, you know how built different you have to be to pull a stunt like this?
15:40 I'm like c'mon let's go before he starts talking again
Best weapons for this mission and every other Flood mission: Assault Rifle, Shotgun, Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, Plasma Rifle, and Brute Shot.
Also works if you use a needler for the carrier forms (kills the infection forms that spawn) and pure forms, and a battle rifle/covenant carbine for the combat forms (aim for the holes on their chests). Sentinel beams also discriminates nobody.
15:50 Me taking a dump after eating too much taco bell
That very first shot when the banshee flies in just looks like concept art. Doesnt even look rendered. Probably is now that i think about it. Still looks good though.
Lol! I didn't noticed but at the end when the flood tentacle tried to grab the pelican, the ships thrusters turned on and burnt it. It retreated lmao!
Tentacles 😁😁
I've never noticed that it got burnt. I've always thought it retreated because that little thing just wasn't strong enough to pull in a dropship. Funny how even the apocalyptic alien plague is not immune to pain.
Nah the Flood’s true weakness is fire. You can’t cure it with a vaccine, but the holy night of Flame and fire can purify that sin like God intended. Give yourself to God brothers and sisters. He can guide you through anything so long as you invite him in and ask him to guide you.
Then the banished awoke the nightmare
The Gravemind dialogue in this mission is making me think the he's gone AWOL.
He was annoyed by the reclaimer's arrival.
He will attempt to take back what was rightfully his.
If there are any other points, please tell me
If he has a brain he would have feasted a pond our bones
Their commander had just died. That’s why Johnson is speaking to him about the mission.
What the f are you both talking about?
Some of this stuff you probably already know, but here's what I do:
Infection forms: A simple assault rifle or plasma rifle should do. Use frag grenades if they start to become a nuisance.
Carrier forms: Plasma, spike grenades, flamethrowers, and needler explosions can not only kill them but also the infection forms that spawn afterwards. Not worth the fire grenades.
Combat forms: You can "headshot" them by shooting the holes on their chests with weapons like the battle rifle or the carbine. The brute shot is also one of the best weapons against them. I don’t recommend the energy sword as sometimes it'll just take off an arm instead of killing the thing. Remember that some infected elites still have shields. Stick them with grenades or something, idk.
Tank forms: Should be the easiest enemy as long as you're not too overwhelmed. Just time your attack right and punch it in the face, maybe bait it to attack first then punch when it turns back towards you. Obviously a little risky so you can use a shotgun or assault rifle if you wish. Flamethrower and energy sword may be useful.
Stalker form: Energy sword or fire grenade. If you're lucky, you may even be able to kill multiple stalker forms with a single fire grenade/FT attack as they tend to have rather rigid AI pathing and walk straight into the flames. With that said, try to look for spots where they tend to have a lot of traffic. They're also vulnerable to melee attacks and assassinations.
Ranged forms: The worst flood form. Either use any type of grenade besides frag (may take some good long distance throwing) or rockets. Hits with the brute shot can make them fall from walls and ceilings.
Pure forms in general: They seem to somewhat resistant to gunfire but are more vulnerable to melee attacks and Stalkers can even be assassinated. Fire weapons, energy swords, and needlers should be alright.
Hope this helps on legendary or ODST Floodfight or whatever.
great vid! was right here when I needed it!
If Halo three anniversary happened, how much of this do you think will change?
They would make Arbiter’s arrival a cutscene instead of it just happening in gameplay
Hopefully they would not touch the cutscene of chief reuniting with Cortana . It's perfect the way it is.
@Zoomer Stasi that physically hurt me. I just played it in the old graphics.
None of it? They didn’t change Halo 2 Anniversary at all
O melhor vídeo do RUclips
Even in 2016, I always hated that level
Warderthenovadestroyer16 me too
How miss the good old days of halo how is with me
Warderthenovadestroyer16 how I did to but what they say what goes around comes around I don't know thought of it but I believe you
Same...
Still to this day
3:23 what was that flood creature’s plan anyway?
Probably couldn't move with the larger forms in the way I'm guessing. Halo 3 doesn't exactly have the smartest AI. When you first enter the reactor room there's even a bunch of enemies that just stand around doing nothing.
time to rescue Cortana the ships computer.
Halo 3 is a perfect game up until this fucking mission
This mission was good
God I fucking hate this level. Just when you think you finally cleared a room another batch of biohazard bitchfucks starts screeching and you spend 50 hours clearing them just for more to appear. And then you can't even find the god damn exit because you don't even recognise the entrance and don't know if you're advancing or going back because it's all just the same biomass anyway without any recognizable waypoints and shit. Even the Library is better than this.
This is how it feels going to a middle American Walmart
You got me lost after a few minutes. There's no way I'm going to get through this. I've never seen so many twists and turns
I will say that it ways very confusing my first few times.
21:36 is this artwork background where we did the Covenant level? And also that citadel/spire in background was that the second one we see Arbiter and his squad turn off to take 1/3 of the barrier down in said level?
I'm confused how a whole city like High Charity could impact halo without destroying it.
If you watch high charity level on Halo 2. She said that taking out the In amber clad reactor would destroy high charity and the ring. My theory is that it probably would in turn destroy whatever reactor HC runs on thus making HCE all over again. If you mean the crash onto The Ark. forerunners built those things to probably withstand that stuff.
@@airspotterone5601 dang it yes i meant the Ark 🤦♀️. Also how was the gravemind able to leave the ring and get to high charity?
@@Mr.Robbie34 do you still know after 4 months
@@Mr.Robbie34there are two ways it could have Infiltrate H.C, One it could have snuck on board In Amber Clad and prepared to slip space into the holy city, or two, the infestation of the flood that has already attack the residents in H.C already started to gather up corpses to the tower districts, as you could the Tentacles dangling inside the mausoleum of the arbiter’s, you still with me chief?
@@Mr.Robbie34the flood took over high charity at the end of halo 2.
14:10 we found her time to get Cortana back where she belongs in Chief's brain. 14:25 Chief would never leave Cortana behind after all she is the ships computer and she has the data we need to destroy HALO and the FLOOD. 15:25 back where she belongs Cortana has been uploaded into Chief's brain. Let's get out of here.
Uh my friend I'm late but the entire purpose of this mission is to rescue Cortana
I don't care about the index. Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten
Master Chief is The Demon, he killed Millions of Elites and Brutes, and he killed Hordes of Flood, this is why he is the Master Chief.
POV when you realize that all that orange and yellow gunk plugging up the corridors of High Charity are the former population... 🙈
The hate towards this part of the game is old and frustrating. People talk about it like it's "required" as a fan to hate certain missions. Some fans need to get out of their comfort zone and look beyond their complacency. Not every Halo fan has to have the same fucking opinion. I personally don't have a problem with this chapter. Is that a problem? It better not be.
1) The visions happen when I'm not in combat.
2) I'm not struggling through the level.
3) I'm not speedrunning (I personally don't care for it)
4) I don't play on Legendary (I'm not an achievement hunter obsessed in trying to finish every fucking challenge I the game. I enjoy in MY TERMS. The only thing I found mildly challenging is the flood forms that shoot the projectiles).
I just don't go through this mission for the sake of completion, but to enjoy the story, and save Cortana from the clutches of the Gravemind.

why u always play on easy?
It’s a play through not a legendary run some people just want to have fun
It's supposed to be a narrative driven playthrough
This doesn't seem like easy. Maybe compared to what you're playing it is. I'm playing on normal and this is what it looks like to me
@@humzaalijaved7569 I hear no narrative. What do you mean?
@@sbentjies meaning the pint of his playthroughs isn't to do timed runs or anything, he tries to do the missions in an immersive way, so it's story driven.
