- Master Chief, the UNSC and the Elites have gone through the portal on Earth to discover a massive Forerunner installation. Chief must go down to the surface to clear a space for the frigate, Forward Unto Dawn, so reinforcements can be delivered. Chief and UNSC forces must then battle through lines of Wraiths, Ghosts and even a Scarab to get to the Installations Cartographer to find truths location so he can be put to justice.

I fucking love this scene. The ships warping in to an awesome ass chorus, the pelicans dropping to a sick rhythm, even the scenery, especially the scenery. Best scene ever 11/10.

And that's why Cortana said there was a way to stop the flood without firing the halo rings. Because installation 04 was being built at the Ark that was light years too far from the galactic center. Hence, no damage could be done towards humanity and their fellow species... do I have that correct?

Halo Reach needed a level like this so bad... this is a shame Bungie didn't gave us the Global battle they promised in their vidocs back in 2010... a shame...
Yeah Tip of the Spear was the closest to all out war we witnessed, if only a portion of that opening cinematic was playable, massive plain for combat
Reach really captured how Spartan IIIs function. Mission classified survival minimal.
I'm pretty sure global battle was just a test.

Yes, I was playing on the lower difficulty as this is supposed to be narrative rather than a level guide. I did save my legendary runs, but I die so many times it would be too long without editing out all the deaths for one continuous play, if that makes sense.

I wish the cut- scenes would have zoomed out at least once to show the entire shape of the Ark. I don't think we ever got to see its full size and shape from afar. Because of that the entire history and relevance of the Ark went over my head. And I'm a hardcore halo game fan. Only after l I started reading halo literature did I really learn about the Ark.

I would say this is the second and covenant is number 1 but I would say they are pretty close in quality

I actually think the covenant offers more variety in environments and gameplay, but a core pillar of Halo's identity is mystery, and that's the sole reason I put the ark above the covenant. I feel the ark captures that sense of mystery better.
@@jackcolson4745 Covenant is still my Favorite in terms of story and gameplay but I can see where your coming from also. That part where you get to duel that chieftain was sick also.

I think he plays on easy because it is good for making walktroughs. Your Marines and ODSTs dont die so frequently, so I think it a good dificulty for us to watch. Would you like to see him always dying on Legendary?

The only part I didn’t like about this mission, was the choppers flipping your warthog then getting ran over by them. You needed to restart from quite far away (the part where you can use a scorpion while going up to the base near the start of the mission, is one of those, but that’s if it’s legendary)
If a CAS-class Assault Carrier is that big then imagine the size of a CSO-class Supercarrier.

Only in Halo: Combat Evolved. Not sure if it's in the Anniversary edition though.
A well places sniper round can get one in 3. (I did it when I managed to get behind two hunters and I was surprised when it one tapped the first hunter.
Am i the only one who really cant stand how hard this level is. I was playing on normal. Either i just suck or this level is unnecessarily difficult.
