What if cortana had like an incomplete logic plague and was like constantly fighting it and one of her fragments couldn't handle the logic plague and then it got cured of its rampancy or something and still was effected by the logic plague
This would actually be a fantastic setting for a flood horror game. Being like, an elite minor, or a released marine prisoner, surviving inside High Charity for the 38 or so days of it being infected, going down the Commons area, and other Covenant civilian structures, with each day leading to more flood biomassed areas, and stronger flood foes, with less or more... 'rebelized' Covenant soldiers like the SPV3 had with their remade flood levels. More or less the goal would otherly be, find a space worthy vehicle to escape the flooded city, or lone wolf style, survive as long as you can. What do you guys think about this idea?
Yeah, people could make this possible in Halo: Custom Edition.. People have made custom campaigns before so this wouldn't be entirely impossible right? The people who have made SPV3 could make this come true!

Prophet of Truth: *watches as the Covenant fights itself on High Charity instead of fighting the flood. Morgan Freeman: It was at that moment that he knew: he fucked up.
The real question is why the Gravemind crashed his giant mobile base into the Ark. Seriously, if I had a giant base of operations, I wouldn't crash it into something.
If they didn't all life would've been eradicated quite easily, given the gravemind wouldn't have enough units to infiltrate the control room nor would he have gotten direct contact with Master Chief and Arbiter to go soft on them just long enough
John Smith Two words...insurance scam. The gravemine was having issues after its devorce, lost both his kids in a costudy battle with his bitch wife, also lost his home and nice 2004 ford truck. He needed Money to hire a hit man to kill his bitch wife and her lover. His insurance payed for the "accident" .
Given that it's the Gravemind, they wanted to crash it into the Ark so it could spread it's infection making it their ultimate goal. Keep in mind that the Ark also has countless life forms, space and technology to thrive.
Its a pity, High charity seemed a Fantastic City, The only one I know Where the Covenant Used to live together and The most Advanced, I would like to see another covenant City :/
This just makes Cortana's gambit in Halo 3 all the bigger. The Sangheilli could never hold quarantine around High Charity indefinitely, if they screwed up just once it would be Galactic extinction, hell they did screw up once, hence why a carrier got to Earth. Cortana using the torture the Gravemind inflicted on her to get it overconfident and send its entire army of flood to the Ark, that is next level. Like seriously, she outsmarted a freaking Gravemind! Damn girl, that is not easy! Bigger AI have tried and failed
Had the great schisim never happened, the flood would have lost quickly. The Gravemind must have known about what was happening when Tartarus tried to kill Thel. Had the prophets not been retarded, High Charity would never have fallen, and most likely taken itsself, and the entire fleet, to earth and finished humanity off.
Lots can happen with a religiously insane empire you know. Hence why the covenant didn't destroy the Pillar of Autumn during the boarding party, and why they kicked off one of the most tactically advanced commanders of their fleet Thel Vaduum, or, for short, The Arbiter

I like the idea that Cortana is acting on her last thought during rampancy before she found the domain, that thought being “have to protect John” and what better way of protecting a solider then by making there be no wars ergo take over the galaxy
Elite: ok grunts u flank the green spartan ok Grunts: -follow the elite- Follow the leader follow the leader That was the true fall of the high charity
I don't understand the whole Mars portal thing. Why did 343 write that in? It's just silly. High Charity has slipspace capabilities, and Cortana clearly knew about the Ark according to her message in Halo 3 in Floodgate. Why not just make the story simple and say the Gravemind got the coordinates for the Ark from Cortana? Not all this BS about a second portal just inconspicuously opening up on Mars as well. I mean, High Charity had to use Slipspace to get to mars so why not just cut out the Mars bit? I mean, if Flood infected High Charity got to mars, why didn't it send any dispersal pods there? Why didn't it swarm earth with dispersal pods while it was passing through the neighborhood? The Mars portal thing is just...bad writing.
ENRAGEDAustin11 it actually takes a long time to get to the Ark without a portal. Even with a portal, the trip is long. I believe the book Hunters in the Dark implies that the trip through the portal took a month or so. I imagine that a normal trip through slipspace could last years.
ENRAGEDAustin11 It's not really bad writing if you knew the fact that slipspacing across a fucking Galaxy would take a whole entire 8 to something months or even weeks. It was smart and the whole pod thing was to save it for the attack on the Ark, they needed everything they had to make sure they were available to infect the Ark, a bigger and better option. If I was a Gravemind, I would do the same because I rather use my army to infect a bigger construction than just Earth, what's not to say they would have fail? PS. It's just pretty obvious my dude
PearlyGreat Cortana was only exposed to the Gravemind for around 30 days. Nowhere near 8 months. Also it only takes humans, with inferior slipspace technology, around 2 months to get to the Ark as confirmed in Halo Hunters in the Dark. Since Covenant tech is better, the trip would be even less. Also it didn't take anywhere near 8 months for the In Amber Clad in Halo 2 to get to Installation 05, which was basically across the fucking galaxy from earth. Also, in Halo 3, the Gravemind sent an entire fucking Covenant Cruiser infected with flood to earth. If he truly needed every last bit of flood to infect the Ark he'd definitely need that. Not to mention the fact that that cruiser had a Gravemind on it, since it was talking to chief during that mission. And since he had already sent an entire cruiser with thousands of flood on it to earth, it would really not be hard at all to spare a few pods to send to earth or even mars if he was passing through. But the Ark didn't have a population of intelligent life so why would he pass up infecting earth and its entire population if he had the chance? It would have been incredibly easy to do if high charity was in the Earths Solar System. Point being, if he could spare a cruiser, than he could easily spare a couple hundred pods to infect a defenseless earth. That, and if it takes humans only 2 months to get to earth, than High Charity, with its superior slipspace technology would be able to do it much quicker.
2:33 This is one of my Favorite storylines in Halo 2, the Civil War between the Brutes and Elites, it’s so interesting, and it’s funny that the Covenant couldn’t fight the Flood very effectively because they were fighting each other. I Love the mission where the Covenant fight each other on High Charity, it is one of the Best Missions ever.
High charity is my favorite place in the halo universe. It has so much mystery and greatness. It has so many places that were unexplored that would've been cool. Halo 2 has the best locations in the halo universe in my opinion
I figure that when the Gravemind figured out none of his ships would be able to make it out of Delta Halo's area without being run down by the Elite fleets (which, even if the Gravemind sent ships slipspace from inside High Charity itself, would be trackable anyway, as the Covenant have always had that technology), he decided to scrap a shitfuck of wreckages within High Charity itself to replace the Keyship Dreadnaught's power and make High Charity mobile again. Capitalizing on the surprise of the Elites, and knowing where the Keyship had been headed, he took High Charity to the alternate portal and launched High Charity to the Ark to prevent galaxy-wide containment protocol, simply not having the time or freedom of choice to leave behind infection vectors on Mars or back at Delta Halo. Not enough time, Elites hot on his heels. Fortunately for him, he knew how to open that portal and how to _close the portal behind him,_ preventing the Elite response force from trailing High Charity to the Ark and cooking it off the installation from the sky with glassings, and leaving the Elites back at Mars with their thumbs up their asses.
Ok 2 things I wanna say and speculate on. First the UNSC In Amber clad had almost all of its troops deployed to the library and the sentinel wall. They were all infected and most likely ambushed arriving pelicans. Or seeing as how the gravemind teleported the chief aboard high charity he was probably able to teleport flood onto the human ship as well seeing as it was much closer to the ring than high charity was. Second I know in halo 3 the flood infected ship that crashed on earth made a few jumps in system as well and it was even stated that high charity jumped to mars orbit before jumping to the ark. So I'm curious if the gravemind deployed any flood to mars as well as a backup or to hide there. If you really know halo lore then you'd know what I'm talking about.
I always loved how in the mission Cortana, the room you find cortana in is the same as the one in halo 2 where truth and mercy talk to the arbiter about getting the index.
Gets me every time seeing the flood infect high charity in 2 then seeing it in 3 fully infected knowing whoever was on it fought to there last breath while still having a civil war
To be fair, I don’t think she knew it was quarantined. If anything, it’s Arby’s fault for lowering the shield. Blame could be shifted even further than that, and we’d be here all day doing it.
I think its mostly Truths fault to be fair. If he hadn't started the Great Schism when he did, either the Gravemind would have gotten himself and Master Chief killed on High Charity, or the Gravemind would have had to abandon his plan.
It’d be fun to have a Halo version of Empire At War where you play a mission as the Elites trying to quarantine High Charity. I can definitely imagine Shipmasters desperately trying to move their ships into position to cut off escaping Flood vessels trying to run the blockade
Jude Summone kinda. Except the gravemind is a culmination of the intelligence of millions. While the master is FEV mgee. (I agree with you i just really wanted to write FEV mgee)
Great video, but I do have one contribution. During the assault on the Library in the Halo 2 campaign you can overhear radio communications of human forces engaging and eventually succumbing to the Flood. You can also see dead Marines and destroyed human vehicles strewn about. This may be quick writing but at least they address it. Remember, the reason there were humans on the Delta Halo's surface was because Miranda Keys personally led a unit there. It was race against time to get the Index before Truth, but unfortunately for Miranda it allowed her crew to be exposed to the Flood. Also the same logic about the Great Schism leaving High Charity vulnerable applies to the human/Covenant forces fighting on Delta Halo; they were killing each other thereby creating more potential Flood hosts.
How come Guilty Spark said "B-b-but a premature activation will destroy The Ark" but The Ark didn't get destroyed after 04-C was activated? I thought for the longest time that The Ark in HW2 was The Lesser Ark until Isabel said otherwise.
I believe it may have simply been an assumption on his part. Guilty Spark had little knowledge of other installations, so he likely assumed that since his ring was destroyed by an improper activation, the same would happen to the Ark.
HOT PURSUIT95 He meant the premature activation of installation 04B. The ring was incomplete so he thought it's activation would destroy the ark. It didn't though, just heavily damaged it. He didn't really believe it would still be intact. I don't think I would've either.
ddam1320 ddam1320 The Ark the Spirit of Fire arrived at was the same one. Even Isabel tells Cutter and Jerome that the Chief was there to end The Great War and yeah I meant 04-B, I was thinking of HW2
It's amazing how over the course of like 30 minutes in game between Gravemind and High Charity the Flood completely over run the entire station. Their screams still haunt me xD
Something I always wondered about in the Cortana level at high charity was how did an ODST got on high charity with the flamethrower? Also, where did the pelican come from that chief, Cortana, and arbiter flew off with lol.
It was kinda weird there were so many human flood forms on High Charity when it got infected, perhaps because chief was close to the crash site but still I think Bungie should had made it for the human forms to be the few ones present there.
Technically, you are seeing him. The Combat Forms, Pure Forms, the biomass, all of it is him. That giant gaping maw was just a physical form, so to speak, so he could talk to our heroes directly. The Gravemind doesn't need a mouth to speak. He's psychic. Not to mention, the whole hive mind thing.
1:40 WOuld love to have a horror movie with the frigate and how the frigate got infected by the flood. Seeing all the actors, that wouldve been epic. A good old horror movie
6:00 yup, that's the reason why the Flood is the most dangerous zombie species than any species in Resident Evil, Last of Us, World War Z, or any other mainstream zombie games out there
Covenant or not, I still feel bad for High Charity and its victims. Lots of xenos called it home. Losing home's a pain like no other, and humanity in Halo knows that feeling all too well.
Cortana is not infected by the logic plague, she is obviously being controlled by 343 Guilty Spark. Why else would she want installation 04c in the Halo Wars 2 ending? Also, Cortana is blue, and do you know who else was blue? Guilty Spark! And Spark was alive after Halo 3 and he took control of a UNSC ship to search for the librarian, so he could easily take control of cortana too!
To those wondering how Amber clad got infected, same way the pelicans flew out of it to spread the infection. They learned to fly a pelican then crash landed it into the ship
The idea of the flood turning rotted flesh into habitable structures is really sickening when you think about it. Also the fact that you don’t really die when you get infected, your mind and thoughts become part of a grave mind is haunting. At least with regular zombies, you get infected/die, and that’s it. But to be assimilated by an ancient plague and not being able to rest just never leaves my mind as an adult. (never thought about that as a kid or a teenager) I love halo :) [the first three/reach/ODST that is...]
There should be more recognition for people who finished "The Flood" mission on legendary. Falls to floor screaming from a flood flashback "AAAAHAAAHHH THE PURE FORMS, THEY DON'T STOP SHOOTING"
My question is how was the ark even habitable after the high charity crash something of that size should’ve sent so much ash into the atmosphere-that you could not breath there
Don't forget about how the flood also can flush their spores into the ventalation systems just like on Installation 04, according to the Flood novel when Guilty Spark and Master Chief were in the Library.
During the events of Ghost of Onyx, there was a Ship Master during the Covenant Civil War who managed to rally the Covenant Fleet over High Charity. With infested Flood ships leaving the surface, he managed to rally the Elites and Brutes for a short time to face the common threat. The Flood.
Imagine being a marine that was captured and you had get out of the city before you die or a your a proud sangheli zealot that returns to your family in high charity you start of traveling through the city it would give a good insight on how the covenant lived you arrive home and skip to the next day and you wake up and all of sudden you hear a loud bang at your door it's a brute captain he then stands you ask him what do you want he says nothing and then you hear the prophet of truth speak through a nearby speaker he says what he says in halo 2 in the mission the gravemind the brutes pull out their plasma rifles you light your energy knife and stab one and kill the other one you then disarm the brute and pull him inside you ask him why the brutes are attacking the elites he laughs and says your race cannot protect the hireachs and now the great journey will leave you behind you kill him and run outside and help as many elites as you can you then return home to your wife and say to her we need to get out of the city she ask no questions the other elites that you help wish to help you since your zealot and all you doing the same kinda thing help out as many elites and any lekgolo and ungoy that are in danger you and the rest of the survivors are beginning to become a big threat to nearby brutes as you are joined by more and more survivors you all then encounter a large contingent of brutes with a brute chieftain leading them a battle follows and you kill the brutes then there is a loud whoosh sound and tremor felt you look up and see in amber clad fly past and smash into the support arch that we see in halo 2 you are not next to it but you are reasonably close. You see numerous pelicans fly out at first you believe it's some humans that believe they can attack the holy city alone the a pelican lands close to your position you all hear screams and shouts and as you go to the origin of these screams you are horrified to see the parasite infecting everyone you begin to try to fight them but you are soon outnumbered what's left or your force most elites and some ungoy and your wife leave with you you all are horrified the ungoy go crazy and run away and so you and your elites come up with a plan you know that you command your own ship a corvette and that you may be able to save your crew and leave lets skip to bit where you are knocked out or about to be. You are running for life from a horde of flood combat forms when you arrive on board the ship your crew all alive you take off however before you get into space the forerunner key ship smashes into you because of you bring in it way and you begin to descend into the city an you crash and are knocked unconscious you wake up and look around the ship had split the bridge where you are was far away from the engines side of the ship you panic and try to find your wife an elite zealot field marshal comes into the ships bridge with a squad of fellow zealots he asks you what's wrong and you tell him what happens he says that you have to come to the conclusion that she is most likely dead he offers his help to get out of the city you accept. You look for any survivors and as you find round at least 15-30 survivors, you hear the iconic flood scream and roar and so you the field marshal and his elites, your survivors and some marines who broke out of their cell. This could be where the marine side of the scenarios intertwines with the elites. You need all the help you can get so you let them tag along. You all then arrive at the richer district of the city more specifically a base of operations for some other survivors who are under attack by some brutes. Remember the flood didn't take the city for another 36 days so they won't be everywhere so quick and much of city won't be affected by the flood and the civil war was still a very big problem. With that said you clear the base tell the survivors your story then you and the most senior elites all come up with a game plan. The high ranking officers consist of you the field Marshall several other zealots two generals a few shipmaster and a fleet master who was on high charity when the flood arrived and he couldn't leave. The plan is this, you along with roughly 350 elites and 30 hunters and other heavy armoured vehicles and air vehicles all make your way towards let's say the city centre more or less the citadel. When you arrive there is a large army of brutes and jackals who have a scarb they have lets say 400 troops. A battle insures and you gain the upper hand and you capture the scarb by reworking it as such. You and the generals, the field marshal, the other zealots and the fleet master with several other elites all make your way towards the citadel while your army defend the area. The war chieftains that command the brutes in high charity are at the top where a phantom is on its way to pick them up. You ask them to surrender but they refuse, a conversation follows and then you all kill them and take the phantom but beforehand re you leave you talk through the intercom that truth spoke through in halo 2. You give a rousing speech and say help will come to rescue all survivors. This is where the fleet master comes in, he takes several battle cruisers and rescues as many survivors from the city roughly a few thousand 10 thousand at the most. You play as the elite in other scenarios or missions like the one on the ark or other things when grey team blew up onyx and when the glassing of Africa began. Hell for a more personal mission you could accompany the arbiter to high charity when it crashed on the ark. Obviously the story would have to be changed up a bit but t you could relive the memories of the battle of high charity.that's what the kind of start of the scenario is. If wrote it all we would be here forever, but the story would give an insight on how high charity looked and how elites were with each other in battles. Sorry if it's extremely long I got a bit carried away but I thought I would share this scenario with you all hoped you all liked it and thanks if you read all the way to this point thank you.👍
This would make a great game or Halo Custom Edition mod! The team who made SPV3 could maybe make this come true. Think about it, Reach like graphics in High Charity, along with this story.. Now all we need more is some people who have a steady hand to film the cutscenes.. Or any possible cutscenes could be made in Source Film Maker. Fuck man, now I just wanna go out and start making this come true.. If people are making this come true then I hope it won't become another Hunt Down the Freeman though lol..
In the halo 3 cutscene with High Charity in the mission the Covenant who said the words "High charity" because I don't recognize that voice I thought it could be Prophet of Truth, Arbiter, Shipmaster, or even the Gravemind it would help what you think said it
But why did the Flood use High Charity to disable the weapon systems on the Shipmaster's ship BEFORE it could kill Truth from the air, then help Chief stop Truth anyway?
Rookie dude the arbiter has active camo, more experience and if Locke had tried to assassinate him he probably would have failed. Seriously you don't become one of the most beloved commanders in all the covenant for nothing.
Hypothetically it would only take one flood spore to infect high charity. So it also could have easily drafted through space or come on to a ship undetected.
I remember as a kid getting jumpscared once by In Amber Clad jumping in because of how fast I would play the game sometimes, so this one time I slowed down I heard Cortana Speak, turned left than ZOOM.
Moral of the story:
Flood > Everything

chris pearson yeah see I didn't have any exact numbers.
Powers make mistakes or over assume.
Never thought the flood would be powerful enough to infect all of high charity... (200 MILES!! WTF??)
TheGarrett 27 20 Million living there too holy shit
All those civilians; men, women, children, animals. Oh God.
Just remember a lot of that was open space.
( O_〉O)? I think you mean: And not just the men, and the women, and the children too.
Double A Batteries I KILLED ALL OF THEM
2:33 This is one of my Favorite storylines in Halo 2, the Civil War between the Brutes and Elites, it’s so interesting, and it’s funny that the Covenant couldn’t fight the Flood very effectively because they were fighting each other.
How the Flood caused the fall of High Charity.
They entered Hight Charity.
Does anyone know what happened to the arbiters masoleum after the flood took over? Maybe those body's got infected or something.
i have the same idea army of flood arbiter 👻👻
*THEL!*
chris pearson just read that on halo wiki lol that would've been cool
chris pearson damn I would have liked if Chief was on Installation 05 and Arbiter fought those
You can see the mausoleum of the arbiters as an easter egg but that's about it
I figure that when the Gravemind figured out none of his ships would be able to make it out of Delta Halo's area without being run down by the Elite fleets (which, even if the Gravemind sent ships slipspace from inside High Charity itself, would be trackable anyway, as the Covenant have always had that technology), he decided to scrap a shitfuck of wreckages within High Charity itself to replace the Keyship Dreadnaught's power and make High Charity mobile again.
I would love an animation or a comic that gives more details on how the infection of High Charity went from the perspective of the covenant .
Gosh I love Halo 2's soundtrack

Flood *Its Free Real Estate*
oh my goodness! lol. but that is true though
Why haven't we seen anything about the Forerunner portal on Mars? I didn't even know Mars had a Forerunner portal.
"How Miranda Keyes caused the fall of High Charity" should be the title
yeah honestly imagine parking your frigate right above a highly dangerous quarantine zone absolutely brimming with flood?
Still a shame, I loved me some in Amber clad ship design
The Gravemind is really similar to the Master from the first fallout
Jude Summone true
Jude Summone kinda. Except the gravemind is a culmination of the intelligence of millions. While the master is FEV mgee. (I agree with you i just really wanted to write FEV mgee)
No.
High Charity: *Exists*
Flood: *Im about to end this whole mans Career*

How come Guilty Spark said "B-b-but a premature activation will destroy The Ark" but The Ark didn't get destroyed after 04-C was activated? I thought for the longest time that The Ark in HW2 was The Lesser Ark until Isabel said otherwise.
HOT PURSUIT95 "Deal With It"
I believe it may have simply been an assumption on his part. Guilty Spark had little knowledge of other installations, so he likely assumed that since his ring was destroyed by an improper activation, the same would happen to the Ark.
HOT PURSUIT95 Wasn't the Ark repaired later on by the sentinels? There is a 5-6 year gap from Halo 3 to Halo wars 2, so that would be a possibility.
Elite: we are invisible. Flood combat form: are you sure about that
Would love a full on game about this, always enjoyed the level high charity, seeing the covenant fighting the flood in almost pure darkness.
Something I always wondered about in the Cortana level at high charity was how did an ODST got on high charity with the flamethrower? Also, where did the pelican come from that chief, Cortana, and arbiter flew off with lol.
must of been from the infected In Amber Clad when it crashed in High Chairty
It was kinda weird there were so many human flood forms on High Charity when it got infected, perhaps because chief was close to the crash site but still I think Bungie should had made it for the human forms to be the few ones present there.
What an incredible video! Thank you for making this!
I'd love to see a "director's cut" version of Halo 3 where you get to see the Gravemind.
Absolutely loving all this halo knowledge. Great job and keep it up ☺
1:40 WOuld love to have a horror movie with the frigate and how the frigate got infected by the flood. Seeing all the actors, that wouldve been epic. A good old horror movie
6:00 yup, that's the reason why the Flood is the most dangerous zombie species than any species in Resident Evil, Last of Us, World War Z, or any other mainstream zombie games out there
My favorite halo 2 missions was on the high charity
It was so Epic to see Covenants Capital

Covenant or not, I still feel bad for High Charity and its victims. Lots of xenos called it home. Losing home's a pain like no other, and humanity in Halo knows that feeling all too well.
It’s a game bra they aren’t real
Cortana is not infected by the logic plague, she is obviously being controlled by 343 Guilty Spark. Why else would she want installation 04c in the Halo Wars 2 ending?
Also, Cortana is blue, and do you know who else was blue? Guilty Spark! And Spark was alive after Halo 3 and he took control of a UNSC ship to search for the librarian, so he could easily take control of cortana too!
I think you might be right....you could hear her humming in the ending of halo 5.
Jordan Aponte or maybe that’s a sign she went crazy with the logic plague
Thank you soooooo much i really wanted a video on this, been waiting a longggg time for this :)
you'd love the video "can the (insert name here) survive the flood invasion" series done by EckhartsLadder
The problem with the flood isn't the fact that its super contagious, but because of it's intelligence. That's why the flood wins.
Btw you have been SUPER helpful in understanding the lore-thanks for being cool!
High charity is so beautiful
"flood-related" "nostalgia" "awesome"
Will your next video be about SPV3?
Probably not, but would love to see you review that mod.
To those wondering how Amber clad got infected, same way the pelicans flew out of it to spread the infection. They learned to fly a pelican then crash landed it into the ship
I always assumed they used a catapult to get on board. But that's a better and more accurate response.
(never thought about that as a kid or a teenager)
I love halo :) [the first three/reach/ODST that is...]

@Melissa Waterman Sounds like a grave time
My question is how was the ark even habitable after the high charity crash something of that size should’ve sent so much ash into the atmosphere-that you could not breath there
Flood is my favourite thing about Halo, which is why you are the best Halo RUclipsr. None of the rest bother to show flood in except maybe one video
once the Gravemind moved onto High charity, wouldn't that then make High Charity a Key mind?
Don't forget about how the flood also can flush their spores into the ventalation systems just like on Installation 04, according to the Flood novel when Guilty Spark and Master Chief were in the Library.
It was bad...Those 38 days, very bad.
My people are trying to study these.....Flood as everyone calls them. We hope to, possibly, find a cure. So far.....nothing.
Did Gravemind get in your head?
And I seen enough rule 34 to know where this went!. . . Halo 5!

Sorry if it's extremely long I got a bit carried away but I thought I would share this scenario with you all hoped you all liked it and thanks if you read all the way to this point thank you.👍

how did the gravemind get on high charity?
biomass being piled up into a proto gravemind
Humans struggled to take down a covenant ship. But the flood took over high charity in less than an hour. That says a lot about the flood
In the halo 3 cutscene with High Charity in the mission the Covenant who said the words "High charity" because I don't recognize that voice I thought it could be Prophet of Truth, Arbiter, Shipmaster, or even the Gravemind it would help what you think said it

They should make a game entirely surrounding the events of high charity being taken by the flood and great schism. set in high charity
But why did the Flood use High Charity to disable the weapon systems on the Shipmaster's ship BEFORE it could kill Truth from the air, then help Chief stop Truth anyway?
That is actually a good question. Maybe it didn't have full control of the pods it sent out?

Hypothetically it would only take one flood spore to infect high charity. So it also could have easily drafted through space or come on to a ship undetected.
