Blast beats and death metal offer completely different things than Jazz, also if you want to talk time signatures, Samus covered the dance of eternity flawlessly just because this video is 4/4 that doesnt mean all he plays is 4/4. All genres of music offer something different so trying to compare Jazz drumming to death metal drumming has zero logic involved in it but hey its just an opinion Edit: also seeing as how my comment has over 300 likes I think a good deal of people agree with me

Found my way here from the Samus reaction. Great to see some grown ups taking things with humor as it should be. I would like to see you reacting to Kai Hahto drumming, he is the original drummer of Wintersun and has now been playing with Nightwish for a while. Wintersun is technical as hell and Kai is a beast. Maybe watch some Wintersun songs to see the capabilities of this guy and perhaps also some drumming from Nightwish to see how cleanly he plays those "easier" songs.

I'm personally not a drummer myself(I play guitar and bass) but he's a great drummer himself and I'm sure he's a great teacher as well because listening to him talk he's clearly a smart and informative guy and knows his stuff. and for the record I like the accent bro. It's part of what makes you YOU and for me individuality is very important! the thing I like most about you is something I hate most about myself and it's a weakness of mine. You seem like a really easy going and nice guy, I too am the same way, but what I'm lacking is that great positive attitude you have! I love the way you approached this video and your response, you fully embraced those little negative criticisms(as for that...Sam is a goofy character and I really don't think he meant any offense whatsoever...he clearly respects you and what you do). Two of the best guys on RUclips in my opinion I've learnt loads from both I respect them both as drummers and as good people passionate about music and that's what its all about. Two of the best guys on RUclips in my opinion I've learnt loads from both I respect them both as drummers and as good people passionate about music and that's what its all about. Sadly you always get them negative people out there trying to start conflict where this is none for entertainment. I love the content both of these guys put out it would be pretty dope to see a collaboration just putting that out there lol.
