In this version, Skinner, due to the larger size of the window allowing his brain to get more oxygen and the "steam" to escape faster, is no longer "pooped" after his meeting with Superintendent Chalmers.
my mom and dad still have this game along with an old windows 98 that's been sitting around not getting used....I might take it the next time I go over there lol.
lol to people not realizing that the fading effects weren't done in post, but rather something that 3DMM did every time you changed locations because it took time for the computer to render the scenes in the 90s.
The transitions and closeups really drive home the fact that this video was created with love, care, and a solid understanding of 3DMM's true strengths. Excellent
@@MBX3D Earlier today I spontaneously thought of this video for the first time since posting that comment, and now I get a comment reply pointing me back to it. Wild
That was impressive given how limited Microsoft 3D Movie Maker was! I gave it up pretty quickly back in the day. I just wanted a father and daughter crossing the road together in the background of my scene. But because each character has a fixed walk speed, the father quickly left the daughter behind, and there was no way to have them walk together. So even though it was easier to get a finished result than the advanced 3D Studio (DOS version!) I had been exposed to in college, I realised I won't ever get this to do what I want and gave up on it right there and then.
You can nudge characters along faster frame by frame in tedious and painful fashion. I always built characters piece by piece as well. You can REALLY torture yourself using 3DMM!

Nope. It’s one of the transitions you can do in 3DMM. In one reply he said he kept it like that “for the authenticity.”
Nah, you can remove the transition and have it load the next scene instantly. He just didn't do that.
No, it's an optional transition. You can just go straight to the next scene.
