I have a Samsung Q60B 84.5” diag. 84.5 po diagonale 214 cm QLED but I can't download an app in play store, could you show me in a video how to do it please, thanks.
Turning off the Power Saving Mode on this Unit will enhance your viewing pleasure drastically. It's factory set to on, which is not allowing the QLEDs to operate at full brightness, turning off and enjoy.
I've watched and read so many reviews about this TV and the Nanocell and honestly the only way to decide, besides knowing the feature differences, is to go into the shop and see them for yourself. And compared to my 7 year old 55" Hisense both of these looked so good tbh. I ended up going for the QLED because of the way my lounge area is laid out. It's quite well lit and there's no real need for wide viewing angles. That's how I ended up making my decision after all the analyses paralyses.
Was looking around for a TV recently, and never thought that TV reviews would be this scarce (compared to that of smartphones, tablets, laptops). Thank you for the review, Steve! Saved my cash for something else than this
I was always a Samsung guy but this year I bought my First Hisense u7g. I was a little scared to buy it but boy am I glad I did. The U7G is quite impressive.
This review saved me so much time too! I thought RUclips would be littered with good reviewers so I'm glad this guy went into so much depth with the details 👍🏽
Just got mine and zero issues to be fair and it works great with my Sonos sound bar. Not tried gaming on it due to being a pc gamer so I have no need for a 120hz tv. It’s a massive step up in picture compared to my 4 year old nano cell lg tv. Make sure to turn off the energy saving features because they are far too aggressive
Awesome review, Steve, you really helped me out on deciding what model to get! I liked the tidbit of information at the end about sticking with the previous year model (Q60A). I watched your Q60A review and was trying to find out the differences between the Q60A and the Q60B. I found a store locally that has the Q60A 60" for less than the Q60B 55". I wanted to know if I was leaving anything on the table by going with last years model and it seems like I would only be missing out on features that I probably wouldn't use anyways. I was originally looking at cheaper 4k options but when I saw the Q60A I was blown away by the colors and have my sight set on it now.
I also prefer the old-school remote over the voice-controlled solar one for these reasons; 1. The remote has only 15 buttons linked to at least 3x-4x the menu options!
This Video has been invaluable to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to make it and explain everything so well! Very well done my friend and hello from Scotland 🏴
i have the same remote on my Q90B. its a fantastic remote, intuitive and easy to use. and the battery lasts waaay longer than the 1 month you mentioned. with everyday use, it got from 100% to about 50% in 6 months. i guess the solar panel does actually help, along with some weird function that it supposedly "absorbs" radiowaves from the room (wifi for example) to charge up. and it got from 50% to 100% in just 30mins when i plugged the usb cable.
I've got a 2020 QLED, my sister has a 2021 8500 crystal, and a really annoying thing with both, is that (we may be missing something, but I don't think so) when you use the guide to record something, it's really unreliable. And if you say record series, it's completely random as to which episodes you get (not many though). I've watched a couple of your reviews Steve, and like your delivery style. 👍😁
Samsung Q60b vs sony x80k? Which one would you recommend? im confuses between these two? Is samsung qled better or sony x80k with x1 processor? pls suggest
All the complaints you’ve had with the display has been something Samsung simply REFUSED to fix for the last few years now. I’m still kicking myself for sticking with the Q60R instead of something like the Vizio Quantum TV since that actually HAD Local Dimming in the same size and that was actually LESS than the Q60R at the time. So it really dumbfounds me as to why they even still have this around at all.
Hi I’m a Navy veteran with a question the reason why I’m switching from Sony to Samsung is because for something similar you’re gonna have to paste about six to $800 right question for the gamer is does it get the job done for gaming I’m not expecting it to be out of this world for $500 but it looks good. I like the bezel. I heard if you turn off power saver mode, it will optimize performance.z although it’s 60 HZ at least it’s 120 HD on the clear motion
@@TechSteve I just got the 85” a few days ago and I’m having a tremendous amount of backlight bleeding. Samsung is sending a tech out later this week to look at it.
Hey Steve.. appreciate the detailed video. I'm planning to buy a TV and being a Samsung guy, am a bit confused whether to go with The Frame LS03A (2021) or Q60B (2022) 50 inch. Price is almost same in my country. I'm not a gamer and mostly enjoy watching movies over OTT or other options. So which 1 would u suggest. Also can I install Kodi in the TV as currently I use Minix Android box.
I am planning to change new 4K, find that quantum is quite bright screen ? Is it worth to buy ? is it Do you have any test on the Panasonic LX800H series ? I am fans from HK .
As a "rational techy", here are my views,. These opinions are more fact than opinion, and I say "rational" to help people, not argue. Bonus: this works for EVERYTHING: and so, here's my take, and advice... 1) Product reviews almost never address getting this new item to replace another, older item. Rather, comparisons are made to current models. I get it - this is for cross shopping current vs. current. In reality you are really shopping current vs. what you had. I'm shopping because my 2006 VIzio I paid $899 for needs replacement. And I'd love opinions on how a current item compares to my older item. If a review actually does go there, and I hear "it BLOWS away anything 5-10 years old AND is at a reasonable price point, the shopping ends there. Done. Seriously, consider this. 2) Extension off that point. As a Subaru guy, I read reviews of certain models, and am SICK of comments stating "Ew, so much hard plastic! This is no Audi." I owned an Audi, too. I'm not expecting an Audi, and only an idiot would. Such statements are insulting and never say "On the other hand you're paying $10 ro $15k for soft touch plastic that you'll never touch and it will be more quiet." Take it to a shop and have them put sound insulation in...$1,000 and quiet as a mouse. You get what you pay for. 3) People over pay and do so for diminishing return, and again reviews rarely address this. Just tell me (similar to point #2) if paying 25% more for less "bleed through" is worth it. Metaphor: the difference between a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and next level down is primarily camera. Yet I know people that don't know crap about photography yet drop the extra $$ for a major feature that is meaningless. 4) In my case, I have a custome TV cabinet I designed 20 years ago and was built to precisely accommodate my $5,000 55" Samsung DLP. When it died, I got the last and greatest plasma 60"...yes 60"...because housings & bezels shrank. But a 65" won't fit, and with this size being abandoned, reviews should acknowledge this and let you know what other 60" models exist. Far too many weigh in stating "bought this (60" $899 TV - I detected shortcomings no one se would, planted in my head by reviews, and I'm SO glad I went with the 73" other brand"...without saying "which cost triple this." These are but a few related but prescient things you have to think of on your own, versus relying on reviews that almost never address them. What's interesting is that 35mm SLR'S and audio equipment DO address these things quite well.
Hello Steve. Thanks for the video review of the Q60B television. During the course of your review, you mention that for movie watching, it might be better to watch SDR content rather than HDR content due to the overall brightness of the screen. Unfortunately, I do not have a frame of reference to visualize the difference that you imply. Would it be possible to illustrate this point using a side-by-side comparison of SDR vs HDR brightness on the Q60B? Thanks again for the review, and I hope that in the future you might do a comparison between the Q60B and the Sony X80B.
Unfortunately I can’t create personal videos at this time, HDR requires around 1000 nits to look it’s best and this TV is more like 400-500 that’s why the QN90B cost around $1500 because it was built with HDR standards in mind.
@@TechStevehi Steve if hdr requires 1000 nits to look it's best does that mean tvs under the 500 nit range like the Sony x80j it's better to leave hdr off?
I just got this TV. I am not sure if this is what you are talking about, but whenever I watch 4K content, like streaming a 4k moving from the Amazon Prime App, for an instant the picture looks good, then it suddenly changes and looks like a brown filter gets applied. As soon as I leave the 4k content or bring up the menu, the colors go back to looking good. I am very disappointed with the TV. I got it to watch 4k content. I can watch the 4k content, but it looks like I am watching it through a layer of brown smoke. Also I do not like the remove. It takes too many button clicks to move around the menus. If I keep this TV I will replace the remote with the one you mentioned.
I use the u6g in ultra hd 4k sdr for a dark room, and it goes very well.when i activate hdr or dolby vision i have to increase the back light to 95 , the brightness 52 and tje gamma 2.0. The u6g i think has 380 nits en hdr but if you use that settings ot really improve.
Between this one or the new LG UQ90 you did , which one is better ? I really like the accuracy and angles of IPS displays but considering something new.. Which one looks better to you ?
Great video! You mention on viewing angle it does look washed up, my question is for the Q60A did you notice that in different viewing angles does it shiw washed up as well? I was curious
Does everyone but me understand all this stuff! I was hoping to just plug in my onkyo reciver and watch movies in 7.2 I didn't think I had to set all this stuff up. Kinda regretting my decision on buying this in the 85 inch.
How well will it work for a computer monitor? I do a lot of streaming through the computer and 3d design software Rhino 3d. I am looking to upgrade my vizio m65 is starting to have power related glitches random reboots, no signal, half screen grey squiggly line power cycle get rid of it. I think I will upgrade soon.
So I need your help. I currently have the Samsung TU690T 43 inch TV. Is this model a big step up in regards to picture quality alone? If so in what ways?
well done ! good review , i have the 55 " 2022 version and i would like to know the following , when i tune terrestrial tv and the satalite it only retains one of them on the app face , how can i get around this or is it nonly possible to have one of them operating ?
Man, you know your subject!! 👍🏻 I'm TV-illiterate, so a quick question: my Costco currently has the Samsung 43" AU8000 Series 4K UHD LED LCD, and the 43" Q60B Series - 4K UHD QLED LCD TVs on at the same price...what's the better choice for someone who just watches Netflix, Prime, etc. and doesn't do any gaming? (And you deserve waaaay more views!)
Of those two- the Q60B is a higher tier TV. The Quantum Dots on the Q60 will give you a better HDR experience. For the same price, go with the Q60B if you are still on the fence.
@@harbourdogNL- I also looked at the Q60B compared to the AU8000, as well as a couple other Samsung TV's, and I chose the Q60B. I realize it's an entry level QLED TV, but I am very happy with it. I know one of the biggest complaints with the Q60B is the narrow viewing angle, but I have the TV mounted on a swivel pedestal stand, so that's not an issue.
Hi , Please reply for the query , As I saw in Samsung's website , the refresh rate was showing 50HZ, did you check with the PC is it giving same 50 HZ or 60 HZ ?
Is there a way to see and switch between apps without exiting the screen I’m on? I see this is something new in the newer Samsung tv models. My older Samsung pulls up the apps at the bottom of the screen without exiting the app I’m in.
Ok so you said tv lose colors when you watch tv from left or right side but what if I got fireplace and I want install tv higher?? That’s gonna be same problem?? I need to look straight on that tv or I can install it higher without problems??
I just ordered a 60 inch Q60B to replace my TCL 55 inch it’s a 55R615 I’m moving it to my sons room. I’m wondering if this tv will be a decent step up I was reading that the tcl has 120 hertz, hoping this tv is an upgrade.
@@imthelegend2331 it’s a good tv picture is definitely better. I have been noticing I have been feeling dizzy and nauseous lately though I’m hoping it’s not the tv I am just getting over the flu but really hoping it’s not the tv.
I just bought a Q60a from Sam’s club. For whatever reason it won’t give me 5.1 sound with my Samsung soundbar, but my 10 year old Vizio TV does when paired with the Samsung soundbar. Basically the center channel doesn’t work with the Q60A. Tried going into expert sound settings and it’s set to “auto” but still no sound from the center speaker. Thoughts???
@@TechSteve Pass through is only allowed when I’m watching through my cable box. 5.1 seems to work then. Netflix, Amazon prime, RUclips TV, etc. the pass through function is greyed out and it’s only 2 channel. PlayStation is 2 channel as well. So the only options for all the apps and the PlayStation is PCM or Auto.
Tech Steve = 🐐 I watch your reviews honestly just to get more knowledge knowing Dam well I’m not even gonna get that tv lol. However, somewhat going against what I just said I’m looking to upgrade from my 65” LG UN7300 model. Budget 800-1,300$
I am trying to decide between the 85 inch QLED Q60B for 2k or the 86 inch Crystal UHD 4k TU9010 for 1599. Is it worth 400 more? I am not a gamer - mainly watch movies and TV.
Have you done a comparison between this model QN50Q60BAFXZA and the QN50QN90BAFXZA? Wondering if twice the price is worth it. Primary reason going for the 2022 models is the gaming hub and Xbox integration. thanks.
Hello Steve I recently bought this TV 43 inch Q60B but I'm experiencing something strange on PS5. When i play 60fps game it feels smooth but when i play 30fps game it have so much judder it is almost unplayable, especially when i rotate the camera around. Even if i put motion smoothing settings to the max is not helping much other than introducing soap opera effects. I was playing PS5 on my Q80T from 2020 with motion smoothing options enabled and never had this judder problem. It was okay. Is that the tv problem or ps5 problem. 30fps is unplayable and hard to watch in motion?
You can adjust the brightness and it has Dolby Atmos pass through so you have to use an external source. Samsung doesn’t support Atmos or Dolby Vision the use HDR10+
It also depends on the size of your bedroom. If your laying in bed 6-7 feet away, I think 43” is more ideal. If your further than 7 feet away, 48” & 50” would be a sweet spot.
Have had nothing but issues with my oled first on had a blue hue issue in the bottom right corner and now have a dead pixel problem all 3 months apart quality has gone down prob going on a 3rd panel
Hi Steve! Did you manage to test Multi View on this model? Does it have Multi View 2.0 so you can show content from one of the apps on the right side without using mobile?
Greetings from Colombia, Do you think q60b 50 inches is a little better than q60t 50 inches, I have q60t but I don't wanna lose quality image if I buy the new model, thanks a lot and I apologize for my english.
What do you think? Go with the Q60B or Q60A? What TV are you considering?

Take it to a shop and have them put sound insulation in...$1,000 and quiet as a mouse.
Far too many weigh in stating "bought this (60" $899 TV - I detected shortcomings no one se would, planted in my head by reviews, and I'm SO glad I went with the 73" other brand"...without saying "which cost triple this."
These are but a few related but prescient things you have to think of on your own, versus relying on reviews that almost never address them.
What's interesting is that 35mm SLR'S and audio equipment DO address these things quite well.
Hi, best setting for gaming, contrast disable, color warm 2? Thx
You can try but the biggest complaint is the content looks too dark
Do I get the Samsung q70b or the Sony x85j? Any thoughts?
Hi..steve, i want to purchase this tv... its good choice or not
Hallo Steve from Greece... Should I buy tomorrow this model, samsung q 60ba 43inch,or go for hisense or even tcl qled tv's? Thank you..
Hello, it’s alot of options and I try not to recommend random TVs. Sales people can understand your real needs
LG Nanocell 75 55 inch 2022 vs Samsung Q60b 55 inch 2022 witch one is better.?
Samsung 55 QLED 4K Q60B vs TCL 65C645 which is best deal?
Between this one or the new LG UQ90 you did , which one is better ? I really like the accuracy and angles of IPS displays but considering something new.. Which one looks better to you ?
Great video! You mention on viewing angle it does look washed up, my question is for the Q60A did you notice that in different viewing angles does it shiw washed up as well? I was curious
You would have to go back and watch the videos
@@TechSteve 😏
Steve does it remote is Bluetooth operating one?
Silly question - this TV does have internal speakers, right? You don’t need separate sound system for it? Soundbar would only be to improve quality?
Yes it has internal speaker, external speakers would only be if you desire better quality.
What TVs would you recommend for $400 or less?
So I need your help. I currently have the Samsung TU690T 43 inch TV. Is this model a big step up in regards to picture quality alone? If so in what ways?
Hi Steve, great video, Can u detail me the diferences between the Q65b and Q60b models please?
www.displayspecifications.com/en not every model is on there
Great info looking for an upgrade for the living room.
Do you have to spend a lot of money to get a TV that does not have a lot of color bleed?
well done ! good review , i have the 55 " 2022 version and i would like to know the following , when i tune terrestrial tv and the satalite it only retains one of them on the app face , how can i get around this or is it nonly possible to have one of them operating ?
I can’t remember at the moment but multi view will do this if you use the built in and a external source.
What do think about Samsung BU8000? I consider buying between the Q60B and the BU8000? Did the light bleeding for the QLED happen to almost all unit?
BU8000 is in the Unite States maybe we will get them?
Hi Steve I bought an 75' Q60B 2 weeks ago but I see there are white marks (clouds) in dark areas. Is this common or should I get it replaced?
Sounds defective
Is it worth spending extra on this compared to CU7000 or CU8000?
I made that video already
Man, you know your subject!! 👍🏻 I'm TV-illiterate, so a quick question: my Costco currently has the Samsung 43" AU8000 Series 4K UHD LED LCD, and the 43" Q60B Series - 4K UHD QLED LCD TVs on at the same price...what's the better choice for someone who just watches Netflix, Prime, etc. and doesn't do any gaming? (And you deserve waaaay more views!)
Same question please
Of those two- the Q60B is a higher tier TV. The Quantum Dots on the Q60 will give you a better HDR experience. For the same price, go with the Q60B if you are still on the fence.
@@d.invisiblemann1373 Thank you for the feedback, I ended up doing that!
I'll be playing competitively on the q60b
Just bought this model last week, I hate the remote. I have the remote from my previous Samsung TV, how do I use it with my new one?
Hi , Please reply for the query , As I saw in Samsung's website , the refresh rate was showing 50HZ, did you check with the PC is it giving same 50 HZ or 60 HZ ?
The US models is 60Hz so that sounds correct
In south africa they are asking a tv licence for this, but there is no tv tuner card inside it. Can you confirm this for us please?
Hi Steve,
Can you post the video link for the screen u noticed backlight bleeding ? I want to test on my 2021 55Q70A and write you the results.
Have you done a review for the Samsung Q70a tv? If so what do you think about it.
Nope just search “tech steve and model name”
I am looking to buy this TV, thanks for the review
You’re welcome
Thank you the best review!
Can you please let me know which tv you Recommend between 60B qled or Song X85j ?
Watch this very similar ruclips.net/video/XM5wj5yX9EQ/видео.html
Is there a way to see and switch between apps without exiting the screen I’m on? I see this is something new in the newer Samsung tv models. My older Samsung pulls up the apps at the bottom of the screen without exiting the app I’m in.
I don't think so, they change the menus all the time
Ok so you said tv lose colors when you watch tv from left or right side but what if I got fireplace and I want install tv higher?? That’s gonna be same problem?? I need to look straight on that tv or I can install it higher without problems??
You might want to consider a ips panel www.displayspecifications.com/en
Does this model support multi-audio output via the Accessibility menu?
I just ordered a 60 inch Q60B to replace my TCL 55 inch it’s a 55R615 I’m moving it to my sons room. I’m wondering if this tv will be a decent step up I was reading that the tcl has 120 hertz, hoping this tv is an upgrade.
any updates ? because im think to get 60 inch
Thoughts???
Go to the audio settings and a switch to pass through
@@TechSteve Pass through is only allowed when I’m watching through my cable box. 5.1 seems to work then. Netflix, Amazon prime, RUclips TV, etc. the pass through function is greyed out and it’s only 2 channel. PlayStation is 2 channel as well. So the only options for all the apps and the PlayStation is PCM or Auto.
You just have to play around with the settings, sometimes that’s what I have to do
Would you rather a 65" LG 65UQ7070 or a 55" Samsung G60B for the same price and why?
Remember I asked to reply to what the video is about
Did you compare it to the Q70B model and what are the differences? I'm curious about this
The q70b isn’t sold in the United States at this time so I haven’t
Sir
Q60b how much internal memory.?
(RAM and ROM)
Tech Steve = 🐐
I watch your reviews honestly just to get more knowledge knowing Dam well I’m not even gonna get that tv lol. However, somewhat going against what I just said I’m looking to upgrade from my 65” LG UN7300 model. Budget 800-1,300$
how is the sound? There is lack of bass like last year model Q60A?
I went over that on the video
when I brought the Q60a I noticed quickly noticed this 😅
Sound bar
Home theater AVR, decent speakers, subwoofer = joy. TV's shouldn't even have speakers. There crap, or good, but then add to the price.
Hi I’m looking at buying this tv but it says 3100 pqi which should be 120 hz but u said it only does 60hz can u now get the 120hz
How advisable is it to get an Apple TV 4K 3rd Generation for this TV.
I use that Apple TV and like it alot. It’s fast and easy to use
Newbie question here: I see that there is an Ethernet connection on the back on the TV. Does that mean that I don't have to buy an Apple TV 4K?
It has apps and wifi built in
I am trying to decide between the 85 inch QLED Q60B for 2k or the 86 inch Crystal UHD 4k TU9010 for 1599. Is it worth 400 more? I am not a gamer - mainly watch movies and TV.
UHD are dim and brightness is rubbish. I've just swapped the TU1000 for the Q60B. Bring delivered tmro.
@@1salahudin I ended up going with the LG C2 OLED 77 inch. Love it so far.
?How does this TV preform with an Apple TV 4K 1st gen box
Have you done a comparison between this model QN50Q60BAFXZA and the QN50QN90BAFXZA? Wondering if twice the price is worth it. Primary reason going for the 2022 models is the gaming hub and Xbox integration. thanks.
It’s worth it
Awesome review, Steve! I hope you get to review the BU8000 series and have it compared to the AU8000
Not sold in United States
Thats just what 30fps looks like bro it's bad
Is it good for the PS5? I don't have a super huge budget.
I’ve shown footage it’s fine
Hello sir lg nanocell 75 55 inch 2022 vs Samsung Q60b 55 inch 2022 witch one is better
Nano cell is trash
Can we manually adjust brightness of q60b, and can we connect dolby ATMOS soundbar to this tv to enhance sound...❔❔
You can adjust the brightness and it has Dolby Atmos pass through so you have to use an external source. Samsung doesn’t support Atmos or Dolby Vision the use HDR10+
@@TechSteve so i can connect dolby atmos sound bar to q60b
I might have looked over it, but could you tell me what the measurement is between the legs that thwbtv sits on? Thank you.
Got the Q60A few weeks back, not sure $50 extra for Q60B worth or not.
prob not
hey Steve would it be a good bedroom TV in a 55 inch size?
I’m using a 65” and love it, Great for watching movies in bed. The 55” is good as well
@@TechSteve thanks for the FYI
It also depends on the size of your bedroom. If your laying in bed 6-7 feet away, I think 43” is more ideal. If your further than 7 feet away, 48” & 50” would be a sweet spot.
Q60b or the frame 2021? In my country they have the same price for 43' size
I’m not interested in reviewing the frame. I can’t recommend it because I don’t have one to test
@@TechSteve thank you for the reply
Have had nothing but issues with my oled first on had a blue hue issue in the bottom right corner and now have a dead pixel problem all 3 months apart quality has gone down prob going on a 3rd panel
Will this TV be good to use it as a PC monitor..??
It will work fine, I personally prefer a real monitor
Hi Steve! Did you manage to test Multi View on this model? Does it have Multi View 2.0 so you can show content from one of the apps on the right side without using mobile?
I haven’t
Whats the difference between q60b and q65b?
I’m sure it’s online
What type of panel ads or va?? Eled or dled lighting??
