- VN24 - Dortmund / Germany - Heavy traffic accident on the A2. At 07:50 clock it came on the A2 in the direction of Hanover to a serious traffic accident. A 62-year-old truck driver from Poland overlooked a construction-related traffic jam about 2 km in front of the Kamen / Bergkamen junction and drove on the right-hand lane onto the semi trailer truck of a 41-year-old Pole. The trailer truck of the 41-year-old was thereby pushed onto the truck of a 52-year-old Dortmunder. As a result of the impact, the cargo of the truck of the 62-year-old (editor's note: a 16-ton sheet steel coil) broke away and tore off the cab. The 62-year-old and the 52-year-old were only slightly injured in the accident according to the current state. An ambulance and a rescue helicopter took her to a hospital. The 41-year-old remained uninjured, In the context of the accident recording the directional roadway had to be temporarily closed completely. There was a congestion of over 6 km. At 14:50, the mission was over. On the other side, sensational gazers made use of their mobile phone again. The officials made several photos. Ads follow.

I am still haunted by an autobahn crash I saw in the early 1980's when I was stationed in Grafenwhör and was on my way back from Nurnberg. A truck carrying steel pipe had locked his brakes and multiple sections of the load went straight into the cab, through the driver and partially out the windshield. This was before they used barriers to block the view of onlookers... this image is forever burned into my memory. Tailgating trucks on the autobahn are a major issue (like everywhere here in America as well)

The truck driver wasn't tailgating, he dapparently didn't realize that traffic had stopped ahead. He hit his brakes, and his load broke free.
Where was it was it a green colored Truck ??? From a Corporation whose first letter of the name began with S and the first letters of the license plate were EN ??? I lost a very good Colleague exactly in a Crash that you describe, but he carrys no Pipes but massive sticks. His Colleague from the Carrier says he died instantly according the Police.

What about the driver of this truck? The cab looked destroyed.
My Uncle who was a truck driver for many years in the U.S.A. Had witnessed many steel hauling accidents. Generally with lengths of rod, flat iron and channels. He said there is nothing that can stop them from piercing through a bulkhead and spearing the driver. He would only haul steel if he was super desperate for money.

It is an extremely deadly projectile if you hit the brakes too hard or end up in a crash
The issue is the rigging and the way the steel is held down, if there are proper precautions taken then there shouldn't be an issue. Most truckers just throw a few straps or chains on a roll and call it good. Never bothering to do any of the simple math that would tell you that one chain to the rear is almost NEVER enough for anything over 2.5 short ton. Math saves lives everyday.

Sure they can stop it, a steal barrier on each side.... but that isn't conducive to making $$$ and there is always some other poor slave that can be hired who will take the risk and who usually will make things worse. Слаженная работа потому что это одна служба. Полностью вооруженная всем необходимым. От тяжелых эвакуаторов до мусоровоза и дежурного тягача с полуприцепом. Так и должно быть. А вот 40-тонный кран довольно долго ждали.

I used to work at a plant using these steel coils to make auto parts , I went from a press to a welding machine and I was always scared of messing with these coils because I was in my 50’s and I did not want to make any mistakes when it came to these coils. I have seen them snap off of the overhead cranes, not a pretty picture. I finally had to give the job up because they kept putting me on a press, I did not want to make a mistake and hurt myself or my associates knowing that I have brain farts every now and then. I loved being a welder but the press wasn’t for me. By the way I am an army vet and lived in Germany and it is a beautiful country.

I also worked with the coils. Car seat rails produced, 4 times a day we had to lift the 13 ton coil onto the machine with the crane. That was the best paying job I've had in my entire life. Company made you 13 euros per second. Electricity costs 500,000 euros per month.

I lift at-least two dozen of these of things daily from 1000kg to 35,000kg from trucks to storage/machines and get paid jack. Basically a single big coil is the same as my yearly salary. Kinda fucked.

These guys are total professionals. The way they handled traffic, the blocking "fence" to stop onlookers from slowing traffic, the total professional towing crew, This should be a lesson to accident response teams everywhere.
You serious? These are the most unprofessional and unsafe. You must not know about job site safety. The 2 easiest infractions and deadliest involve the main people doing the recovery. The crane operator lifted the coil wrong , chain fell off, coil fell off the side of truck as he was lifting, lifted load too high, idiot tending to the coil as its being loaded. Supposed to use ropes to guide the coil in case the thing breaks free.
And NO safety helmet

Totally agree. Steel coils are called suicide loads in the business. Very very dangerous. Should be loaded in a frame made for the job. Or flat, but loading flat is going to damage the sheet metal
That was a 32000 + coil. Suicide. I'd have 2 4x4 bevelled timbers setting on 4 coil racks. on a cork mat.
Set the coil minimum of 5 3/8 G70 chains thru the eye.
And 5ratchet binders alternating sides. Edge protection is metal corner protectors over a used tier sidewall bead
Then if you got two sets of D rings outlining the (coil pocket) two chains over the top. Remember the rule.
If the load leaves the trailer before you get to the customer. YOU SCREWED UP!

Its amazing the flow well traffic keeps flowing, something I've always admired about Germany road. In the UK either the police would go into full on safety shock and block the road both directions for 4 hours, or passing drivers would engage extreme rubber necking mode!

Another excellent feature on German roads is the way an emergency vehicle route is opened by cars keeping to the edge of their lane when stationary. UK car drivers are too thick to do that.
The Germans are a class act. If I had the bucks that’s where I would retire. Love their food and beer. Love their people. Beautiful country. Rail and roads are pristine. Spent a month there and loved it. Would like to try a few years.

помню когдато наши гаишники нам тоже помогли, мы молодые были, дедовский моссквичь 412 взяли покататься, в общем гаишники нас остановили за городом проверили документы, имеем ли право ездить, чего ездием, потом кагда обратно ехали у нас ночью бензин кончился и мы до города не доехали километров 15, стояли махали руками машинам, остановились теже гаишники,поговорили с нами поняли в чëм дело,остановили какого-то мужика слили у него 5 литров бензина и мы уехали. . мы не баловались,ездили осторожно, слушали радио, и не пили не курили. . 😉😁✌

Когда то работал на Кольской ГМК, и у нас ребята учились на стропальщика по 3 месяца. Что бы перейти на "блатную" по тем временам (начала нулевых) работу, где всё что от тебя требуется, это два-три раза за смену закидать груз на фуру и обвязать его "правильно". При этом получали по 60.000 рублей. Но и ответственность была - "мама не горюй", если что-то во время транспортировки случится с грузом, они за него отвечали из своего кармана... Так помню они груз так привязывали, что скорее машина развалится или перевернётся двадцать раз, а груз так и будет привязан))

Я работаю уже 15 лет водителем фуры в Италии . Два года назад работодатель взял новую работу на все филиалы Fiat по всей Италии . Загружаемься в порту Неаполя . Так в огромном крытом хранилище посвюду видеокамеры . Кранбалка загружает рулоны , бывает что один весит 25 тонн, 29 тонн и поменьше . Продукция с Голландии и контролируют загрузку они же на расстоянии . Прицепы с желобком на всю длинну прицепа и по краям желобка по два отверствия для мет . труб стоек . Под рулон кладем резину , перед рулона упирается в стойки и еще в добавок впереди ставитмя деревянный брусок между трубами и рулоном. Потом один ремень затягивается по окружности тянет вниз к полу прицепа и
два ремня по краям тянут вперед к стойкам . Строжайший контроль по крепежу. Однажды вечером один коллега загрузился а ремни посто накинул , спешил домой. Так Голландцы сразу перезвонили в порт . Ох и скандал был . Хотели уволить мужика ..... Одна камера смотрит прямо в прицеп. Вот такие дела .
Значит данная машина загружалась в другом терминале :-)

Сам рулоны вёз, 2 ремня вниз и 2 цепи изнутри крепил, если весил более 20т. Ездил каждый день по данному автобанну, там все знать должны что пробка есть, она всегда там.

I've been there. When the traffic control officer comes down a sliproad, pulls in front of you and the "Don't pass" lights come on. So annoying! You just think if you set off 2 minutes earlier you would have got past him. Haha.

Driver was NOT ALRIGHT. He was most likely dead. You dont get your truck cab pushed head-first into asphalt and be crushed inside, then walk away. If your trying to be funny - that's disgusting. If serious, you need a few lessons in basic physics, imo. The barriers they put up, is so the rest of those on the road, cannot see the carnage as the go past.

This coil must have a yield strength about 400 (4 ton meters) if the steel bands all had broken they would have a real problem removing it, The coil lenght can be near 30 meters. I've craned coils routinely at my job and know that these can be a giant spring when they open up.
30 metres? A regular coil consists of approx. 2 to 3 km of steel. If not more.
@@rickbakker6589 depends on the rolling strength of the material. Take an aluminum coil with a material thickness of 0.02 mm that goes to Africa and back again.

It's not just amazing none of the 3 drivers were killed but also none of the clean up team were injured, judging by how close they were and trying to push a suspended load etc I think they're all in need of a little safety training

Автор что то покурил.Такие катушки максимум 1,5 2т.Судя по видео там их несколько,а фура возит 20 25 т.Следовательно что там должно быть одна,максимум две.

Die Wände sind ja nicht nur für die Gaffer gut, sondern auch dann, wenn man Kinder dabei hat.
Die müssen ja nicht unbedingt, Schwerverletzte, Tote, umherliegende Körperteile, Blut und innere Organe an einem Unfallort sehen.
So etwas kann ein Kind fürs Leben traumatisieren und muss bestimmt nicht sein.

Dieses Video zeigt wieder einmal mehr als deutlich wie wichtig es ist immer die Ladung zu sichern. Erst recht wenn man so sau schwere Stahlrollen transportiet, dabei geht es nicht nur um die Einhaltung von Gesetzen sondern um die Sicherheit aller Verkehrsteilnehmer. Ich würde mich nicht wundern wenn bei diesen Unfall Menschen drauf gegangen sind, ein Unfall der zu vermeiden gewesen währe. Ich bin auch LKW Fahrer im Fernverhehr und bin schon das eine oder andere mal kontroliert und verknackt worden. Auch wenn ich nicht wirklich begeistert bin verknackt worden zu sein, aber wenn ich so,ne Videos sehe dann wird mir immer wieder bewusst wie wichtig so,ne Kontrollen sind. Wenn ich verknackt wurde ging es in der Regel immer um kleinere Verstöße bezüglich der Lenk und Ruhzeiten. Aber wer die Vorschriften auf eine so derartige Weise mißachtet das Menschenleben gefährdet wird kann meiner Meinung gar nicht hart genug bestraft werden. Es müßte eigentlich noch viel mehr Kontrollen geben um so,ne Unfälle zu vermeiden oder wenigstens zu minimieren. 100% tig vermeiden wird man so,ne Unfäll nie können

@@thomgerber Durchaus, der LKW auf den das Coil jetzt geladen wurde, hat eine lange Mulde auf der Ladefläche, wo in unterschiedlichen Abständen stabile Vierkantstangen eingesteckt werden. Dicht an die Stangen gestellt und anschließend mit Ketten und Ratschen gesichert, bleibt die Ladung da wo sie ist und übersteht auch durchaus Auffahrunfälle. Habe auch Coils transportiert, zwar keinen LKW aber unsere hatten manchmal 25 to. Und mußten gesichert werden.

When I was 19 years old I was hired by a local market to drive a 40 ft enclosed cargo truck. I had no experience driving a semi-type truck before, and they provided me no training. I was pretty confident in my driving abilities regardless and took the job. My first pickup was for 3, double-stacked pallets of full paint buckets. I had no idea at the time that these type of things needed to be strapped down (hard to believe now), but there I was driving along at 45 mph with about 3 tons of paint sitting 30 feet behind me when suddenly someone ran a red light and I had to slam on my brakes. I could hear the pallets sliding towards me and all I could do was pray it wasn't going to kill me. When it hit the back of my cab it knocked me off my seat and cracked the back wall, but I was OK. I pulled over and spent the next hour organizing the paint buckets and spreading them across the floor of the cargo bay.
Много лет езжу в Европу видел много аварий на автобанах. Дорожники на авариях действительно работают как один механизм с полицией. Да и полицай на дороге царь и бог и поможет если нужно и отымеет по полной.
Я возил такие катухи, переднюю крепил на 3 ремня и всё норм, а тут может и не крепели, есть такие ленивые спецы которым в падлу ремни закрепить

As he approached some traffic lights they changed to red and he braked the ropes snapped and the tractor kept going down the flat smashing onto the cab, The driver was lucky he wasnt hurt but they used chains after that.

Аварийно-дорожная работы не предполагает поднятие груза при помощи крана, движение в замкнутом пространстве в условиях металлоконструкций или работающих каких-либо станков.
Отсюда и не требуется изначально каска, где и не выделяются средства на нее.
Дорожная ситуация как видим уникальна в своем роде и не постоянна. Что называется, форс-мажор. А работу надо выполнить, т. к. контракт подписан и существуют обязательства по обеспечению "уборки " на конкретном участке.

Este rol de metal no fuel fixada bien. 16 tonneladas. Estsos fixados de textil se Usan por ottas costs pero para metal necesista algorithm ma's duro. El rol se movio con deceleration y today el parte front Al del camping se rompa. No se so el conductor es avida
