RE: The nihilism comments. I remember being a somewhat nihilistic teenager as well. What Onision failed to realise when writing "This Is Why I Hate You" is that this cringe-level nihilism doesn't make for a compelling character. Something has to matter, at least to the protagonist, because otherwise they're just a boring person telling a boring story. If the character doesn't care, nobody else should either.
Even when I was a teenager I realized how cringe this type of edgy nihilism was lol. Then again my form of teenage rebellion was being as wholesome as possible.
Also there are so many compelling ways to write emotionless, nihilistic characters, like make them a sorta Violet Evergarden type character or maybe something like Phospohylite where someone perfect becomes nihilistic

I self-published on Amazon, only to realize afterwards that I had forgotten to add page numbers. I was mortified and quickly set about correcting that and other mistakes I found. I felt terrible for having published something of lower standard. The idea that Onision willfully allows his book to continue in a subpar state is ludicrous to me. Sure, I get wanting to finally be done with a book (one of the biggest challenges for writers is actually finishing a book as there's always more you can do. Eventually you do have to say "done"), but to simply disregard, angrily, obvious mistakes, not even with the story, but just with the grammar, is bonkers to me. Periods and paragraphs are important bro.

okay so i wanted to say one thing, i always feel really insecure when reading, especially to someone else, let alone to a camera. i have a mild stutter and stumble over my words constantly. seeing that you made a few mistakes and people just kind of ignored it for the content made me really happy bc damn maybe i could muster up the courage and try to like. voice act again, if it means people won't tear me apart for fucking up my speech again. just a little kind of meaningless comment but i really appreciate seeing people read and speak naturally and not be so fully edited and flawless.
Many people find a stutter or stumbling over a few words when reading, is cute. But on the whole, if you give it a real shot and don't be an ass thinking and saying you are a God and everyone else sucks... then you will find only the ignorant ones will t4pry to take you apart to build themselves up. Yeah as someone who’s done research into publishing, it is pretty pricey. This guy getting things that would usually add up in a publishing package for free and just snubbing it all is infuriating, to say the least.

Fun fact: there's a type of sleep apnea called central sleep apnea. It's called that because it is caused in the brain itself. Cause? Traumatic brain injuries.
So some of those sleep apnea people are veterans with a non dietary problem.
I self-published on Amazon, only to realize afterwards that I had forgotten to add page numbers. I was mortified and quickly set about correcting that and other mistakes I found. I felt terrible for having published something of lower standard. The idea that Onision willfully allows his book to continue in a subpar state is ludicrous to me. Sure, I get wanting to finally be done with a book (one of the biggest challenges for writers is actually finishing a book as there's always more you can do. Eventually you do have to say "done"), but to simply disregard, angrily, obvious mistakes, not even with the story, but just with the grammar, is bonkers to me. Periods and paragraphs are important bro.
Ya know those writers who write disturbing or weird books, but are decent people (a lot of hentai or horror authors come to mind)? Yeah, Onision is NOT a decent person. Not. at. all.

okay so i wanted to say one thing, i always feel really insecure when reading, especially to someone else, let alone to a camera. i have a mild stutter and stumble over my words constantly. seeing that you made a few mistakes and people just kind of ignored it for the content made me really happy bc damn maybe i could muster up the courage and try to like. voice act again, if it means people won't tear me apart for fucking up my speech again. just a little kind of meaningless comment but i really appreciate seeing people read and speak naturally and not be so fully edited and flawless.
Many people find a stutter or stumbling over a few words when reading, is cute. But on the whole, if you give it a real shot and don't be an ass thinking and saying you are a God and everyone else sucks... then you will find only the ignorant ones will t4pry to take you apart to build themselves up.
