As someone who's used a wacom intuos tablet for years (and also draws traditionally alot) but has never used an ipad before... yesterday, I rly can't relate to the complaints people have about sound, resistance and pen-tip consumption.
That all just seems vry run-of-the-course when it comes to digital art, at least to me.
In fact, I've used my tablet for so long that the center has smoothed out, and so the skin of my hand tends to get caught on that smoother surface which messes up my movement.
So I've just ordered both the paperlike screen protector and one of them art gloves specifically in hope to avoid that resistance when using my new ipad, bc I just don't have the wrist-n-elbow-control too draw without resting my hand on the canvas.
and the ipad I got specifically to get rid of the disconnect between hand and drawing that I feel when using the tablet (which makes me strain my hand more which has made me less motivated to draw, so yeh I'm trying to fix that)

Haha on the scratches part same, my screen protector has scratches but I also don't mind. My apple pencil wore down because I dropped it and not the paperlike! It's a good texture it reminds me of my old cintiq companion! :D

That's awesome to hear! I posted the video two weeks ago, and I'm still loving the screen protector!

Finally, a new(er) and neutral review from an artist. It seems like most people just wanted to jump on the Paperlike-bash bandwagon after MobilereviewsEh's got 1,5 Million views on his honest but negative review. I don't want to say that all the negative reviews are wrong, it just seems like a lot of RUclipsrs artificially amped up negatives.
My sister has been using it for years now, and I always liked it, and based on this review I feel confident to use Paperlike on my new iPad Pro.

Meinard, you are so right! If a positive review goes viral - everyone makes those positive reviews, but the same goes for negatives too haha. Either way, what's the point of making reviews if you are not sharing your personal experience? - that's beyond me.
Me and your sister love it, so I hope you will too 😊

@@AnnaSok_Art Been using it for almost a week now, and I am absolutely satisfied with it. I took my new iPad out of the box and immediately applied it. The application was easy enough, the screen is still bright enough, even on lower settings, and it feels great to draw on. Yes, it's a little pricey but it is nice to not worry about your screen all the time.
