    I wanted you to know that chickens are range animals. They need a wide range of land to forage in. What some people do when they have chickens is let them out during the day to forage. When they get to know you, when let out, they will follow you around when you are outside just like any other of your pets. You can train them go into their pen at night.
    I realize that your ground does not yield a lot of forage plants but they also need the exercise too. When they are in very small pens like this, the deficate all over the place and often step in it. This has the potential to make them sick.

    The coup is coming along nicely Andy especially with Sharon helping. The walls are really a beautiful feature for the whole Finca thanks to your hard work. Look forward to ever video you put out as it’s always interesting and informative. 👍🏽😎

    Maybe you should start a caper farm business. Seems like the capers thrive without water. The chicken coop will be quite nice. A bit of grass for them would be good for them, but I know that would be hard to maintain,

    What about a window? Ventilation is needed and also to bed the fence under the earth to stop foxes or any other animal that would like a chicken dinner.😢

    You might want to consider filling in the space under the gate. I've seen others having to restrict access to other animals that want to get in to the coop. They seem to find their way in the tiniest of spaces. Otherwise it's looking very good and I'm sure you'll be making more great additions

    Seems like a small enclosure for chickens. Are they going to be free range during the day?

    • @sahlaamorris3180
      @sahlaamorris3180 2 месяца назад

      I do so hope so. It is essential for them to range so they do not kill what plants are there for them. If you get only a couple you can keep track of them. In fact when you are out, they will probably be following you around. Chickens can kill plants from over grazing.

    Oi, you poor things. 65 days of d-r-yiiiiiii. Here, catch. Oodles of wet, and cold for this time of the year for us and we aren't THAT far from you but it's over the Alps, north of you. I don't think we'll get any summer. It's been great watching your applied patience to the stone walls turn into something really worth while looking at. Rescuing spiders, what next. Snakes? 😉 The coop extension turned out super. Very solid. Very functional. I read recently where you've got to be careful which solar automatic you select. I think I'd choose the doors opening from the side as opposed to the guillotine types.

    Hey both of you, pleased to see you’re both cracking on and sorry I’ve missed a few weeks..we’ve had a mad month or so, selling cars, buying a motorbike, tonnes of diy and decorating and then two MOTs on Saturday…on my birthday ha ha..crazy..thankfully both cars passed, a birthday miracle!..anyhow, I’m now finally catching up on the few videos I’ve missed!..just a quick question please…what do you eat capers with?..is it a snack with a drink or a side dish or something?..I’m intrigued, never tried them!..oh, ps, it’s Mark..just remembered I changed my RUclips name again ha ha - I’ve gone back to the original name I started with like 10 years ago, I’ve come full circle 😂…anyhow, pleased you’re both well and I’m working my way through the other videos! 😀👏🏼

      Thanks Mark and welcome back! Glad you got everything sorted. Capers are the basis of tartar sauce and go well with any fish. They are also great with salads and on pizza etc. You don't need many, just a few adds a nice strong taste explosion - a bit like cardamon pods in curry

    Sharon, just a tip from me, woman to woman. Always let the man take the lower part when carrying things, going up hill/steps. That's the heavier distribution part and we women do not have the same forearm strength and structure as our male counterparts. 😊
