How To Change Dual Action Backing Plates - TORQ Polisher - Chemical Guys

- Changing backing plates on your dual action polisher is easy! It's important to have the right size pad to get the best results on the particular area you are polishing. Smaller contoured areas need small pads, and large flat areas can use larger pads for faster work.
TORQ backing plates are vented to remove excess heat, and ultra-flexible to adapt and contour for the best polishing results.

I lost my wrench. Where/how can I get one
I have a 2011 Subaru WRX WR Blue if you guys ever want to use it for a Detail University class. I'm in Carson CA only 19 minutes away from you Gardena location. In need of some polishing :)
Thanks mate, just what I needed - Just received my first ever DA and the instructions were, well, let's say they were not very good :)
Enjoy your polisher!!
Respect Chemical guys ;)
What are the situations if use the yellow one? Mine kit from you has both. Can I just use the red torq one for everything or are their situations where the stiff yellow one should be used?
I also have the 3" red one too, but just wondering if there's a reason to ever use the regular yellow one or keep the red one on.
What is the volts for this machine?
Skip to 2:28 if you wanna skip the non-essential info.
Does 3 inch backing plate fit Rupes LHR21?

Enjoy your detailing products!

Chemical Guys TORQ R5 Dual Action backing plates use the 5/16" - 11 DA backing plate threaded attachment. Use this backing plate on any DA polisher that accepts 5/16" threaded accessories, including the TORQ10FX, TORQX, Porter Cable 7424XP, Griot's Garage 6", Meguiar's G110, or Meguiar's MT300 dual action polishers.
Where can I get a replacement wrench
Were u able to find one?
Man wish I would have seen this video before I threw away that plastic washer lol...
Greg will those backing plates fit on my griots garage d/a/ polisher?
I'm not sure if it's those ones specifically, but they do sell backing plates that fit. I believe it's a 5/16-24 shank, but check your manual/contact Griot's to confirm before ordering. :-)
What size is the wrench. I lost mine..
