When I got my first employment interview back in 1970, the lady interviewer was impressed that I could speak good English despite being in the US for less than a month. Russians are superbly beautiful in many ways not just in looks. Having worked with them onboard freighter ships gave me more knowledge about their culture and traditions. Aside from vodka I had a good taste of inter racial cooperation at work, at play and various day to day co existence.
