This video is dedicated to Frankie's A-Level Results, the end of our channel and other important things that need to be mentioned. We have been away for nearly a year and Frankie, now alone and without Izzy, believed that this was the best way to start things up again. She tries to spread an important message to potential students, following her A-Level results she opened just two days ago, and the GCSE video...

Thank you SO much Georgina! I'm so happy that you've watched this one after the GCSE video. I actually didn't do English Literature, I did English Language & Literature which is a different A-level course, so if you're doing English Lit my advice may not apply because the two courses include different topics. However, I would be happy to make a video on how I revised English, and I would love to also show my art books when I get them back. My top tip for now though is to do as many essay questions as possible- this is a little tricky if you're going to do past papers because we're only the second year in. However, people online will make some questions up and you can too. Always get them checked by a teacher so that by the time it comes to the exam you have perfected your craft. I have many, many other tips on how I revised effectively for English, but that's my top one. I hope this will help and I hope to make the video soon xxx

I did English Lit/Lang combined too! We did pretty much the exact same exam, besides the play; we did A Streetcar Named Desire. You did really well for that A, I personally enjoyed he Gatsby question though. My exam got remarked for an A* (I know it sounds pretentious, but I was one mark off). My coursework was absolutely awful though, I got a high C in my coursework and ended up with an A* overall.
P.S: my target grade was a C too, ayeee good job

What was it like doing English Language + Literature as a combined course?
Doing them together was really helpful for me, especially for studying English and University. It allows you to focus specifically on language analysis and interpretation. I found it really interesting because it was less about a broad picture and more about rich context, language and analysis. It also helped that I really loved the texts we were studying; it makes all the difference if you genuinely really enjoy the course. If you have the opportunity to study both, I urge you to do so! :)
