  • Using a Case 1845c skidsteer to move about a foot of fresh snow. There was a base layer of 3-4inches of hardpack that I was trying to break through so it took a little extra down pressure, I don't like having to float the front wheels as much as I did. The bucket is a light duty high volume 7 foot bucket. A hydraulic angle plow is faster and I have been meaning to get one up here. In the past I've used an Erskine blower on the front of the machine but they are just too dang slow. Definitely should have used the tire chains but I was feeling lazy. The driveway is a little over a quarter mile long and took about 35 minutes to complete in 14 degree weather.

Just got down adding plexiglass to the sides and roof. Built a door and plumbed in one of those diesel heater. I'm ready for the snow coming tomorrow.

nortwoods it is nice to watch an operater that is smooooth, no wasted running around, the machine isn't bouncing and slaming around, no jerking and spinning all over the place, just moving snow and getting the job done. you can come run my 1845c anytime, all glassed in, two big heaters, door with wiper, you can cruise along in -30 in your t-shirt and jeans.

Thank you, appreciate the compliment and I definitely would not hate an enclosed cab and some heat!

Do you think it would handle a 8' snow bucket? Just bought a 1845C and found a great deal on a local bucket.
