    Lembrando que o encontro do Eko com o Richard Malkin "vidente" aconteceu meses após o Yemi ter entrado naquele avião na Nigeria em 2001. E o encontro da Claire com ele só veio acontecer no ano de 2004 quando ela já estava grávida. Então é como o próprio Richard Malkin falou para o Eko: ele ganhava a vida enganando as pessoas, e ele não fazia ideia que futuramente conseguiria realmente sentir/ enxergar algo que podesse acontecer como ele viu com a Claire, e disso não temos dúvidas. Como sabemos até a passagem e vôo ele exigiu que fosse aquele, o "815."

    • @reatores
      @reatores  Год назад +1

      Cara, essa cronologia é muito importante! Eu ia até comentar sobre isso, porém me confundiu o fato da filha do Malkin ter ido ao aeroporto falar com Eko. Então anos depois do ocorrido com ela, Yemi mandou esse recado.

    Desde o dia que o Henry Gale falou não ter apertado aquele botão quando ficaram confinados que o Locke vem perdendo a fé na importância de apertar o botão, na escotilha e também na própria ilha e ao assistir o vídeo de orientação da estação Pérola é que ele perdeu definitivamente a fé. A forma como o "Mark Wickmund" falou sobre o experimento, realmente é deixar qualquer um desacreditado. Por falar no mesmo, um detalhe é que no filme de orientação da estação Cisne ele estava com um braço "prótese" e nesse filme da estação Pérola estava com os dois braços mexendo perfeitamente, o que torna esse filme anterior ao outro!

    • @reatores
      @reatores  Год назад +1

      Sim, cara... o evento do lockdown foi crucial para que Henry entrasse definitivamente na mente de John. E aí, vendo esse vídeo de orientação da estação Pérola, parece que foi-se de vez a certeza que Locke tinha do seu destino.
      E sim, esse detalhe do Mark/Marvin é muito interessante! Vou falar pra eles!

    Title in French: "Sous surveillance" (under surveillance)
    I loved the face of Gabi who seemed to understand nothing when the other two started screaming for the psychic.😁
    I'm for the opinion that the Psychic really saw something for Claire. It is precisely because he is a charlatan that he was surprised, then frightened to see something. A charlatan wouldn't have given Claire his money back, and then even more to get on the plane. And if he then dismissed Eko, it was because his resurrected daughter plus the vision for Claire was a bit too much for a non-believer. He certainly wanted to return to a normal life far from the extraordinary.

    • @reatores
      @reatores  Год назад

      Yeah, I guess he himself was so impressed by what he saw, cause he always considered himself to be a fake, that he really meant to get away from all of it. Good thing this led Eko to the island...

  • @JacopoBasanisi
    @JacopoBasanisi Год назад +2

    Eko's actions are a perfect reflex of John's. Both used violence for their own mystic agenda, both of them were asked "are you insane?". After all, the black and white theme is big in the show, and they are literally in the opposite color spectrum. John played Jack’s part in this episode, the non-believer. So even John can be nervous around someone who doesn’t listen because he had a weird dream! Ultimately he went on the crazy train again.. and then went off again.
    I gotta say this: John believed for no reason, other than “I walk again” (I know, it’s a pretty strong reason, but also possibly a coincidence). Eko believes for the most crazy coincidence in history, so I can at least see he has stronger argument about the magic island theory. Again, two sides of the same coin. And Eko is a "real" man of faith, so his faith is bound to be stronger.
    And yet again, John said he’s gonna help people and he’s not doing it!!!
    The Pearl is this season's next puzzle. What was the name of the Swan orientation guy?
    John sad speech in the Pearl is the bit of this show that made the stronger impression on me. It summarise John in the best way possible, in the most emotionally charged situation of the first two seasons.

    • @reatores
      @reatores  Год назад

      Haha I love how, even though I love John, your comments somehow make me re-think some things 😄
      Yeah, that Pearl scene is so strong and relevant in so many ways. One of them being that John 100% sad speech.
      And the questioning it brings... is it all fake or is it true? The button, the psychic...

      @@reatores I Loved Lost from the beginning because of the characters. I love to point out every little thing because the writers are so good. Like, the fact that it was Kate to tell Hurley about Libby, and Sawyer was more nervous than sad, tells us that he's not good at being fragile around people, so his way way to react was to turn his face the other way.
      Or the way Jack used the Libby situation to get back at Sawyer for the guns, shows us that Jack performs at his peak when in a stressful situation, he's the one they turn to because he's capable to solve multiple situations at the same time, in those times he's in the zone, he's not taking any shit from anyone. Of course when he's relaxed (or outside his element) he's more pronte to mistakes.
      Every episode has 1000 little things like these, and I really enjoy them

    Nossa como é triste e agoniante essa despedida da Libby... Quando ela buscou fôlego sabe se lá de onde pra tentar falar as últimas palavras e veio o nome "Michael" eu pensei: agora vai. Mas ela já não tinha mais energia suficiente e infelizmente era muito difícil do pessoal entender o que ela queria dizer pois o próprio Michael conseguiu cobrir muito bem todas as pistas inclusive atirando em si próprio e se tornando uma vítima assim como ela. E a tristeza do Hurley se culpando por ter esquecido o lençol é de partir o coração. Todos presentes sentiram essa perda de duas pessoas que estavam no melhor momento e infelizmente tiveram suas vidas tiradas num ato de pura covardia do Michael.

As constantes visões que a filha tinha causaram quase morte dela (conforme informações apresentadas futuramente, as visões causam um grande desgaste a pessoa). Primeiramente, parabéns pelas reações e debates! Amo LOST e teu canal tem me proporcionado bons momentos enquanto assisto às reações. Segundamente, peço um favor, Rodrigo: peça para eles falarem ESCOTILHA, poque "portinhola" é feio demais, Deus do céu, hahaha. Escotilha é muito mais legal!
    Gosto muito desse episódio. Principalmente por ser um dos meus personagens favoritos da série, o Sr. Eko.
    O "?" é um episódio que usa muito bem do simbolismo da previsão por meio de sonhos para guiar a narrativa do Sr. Eko como acontece na Bíblia cristã quando Deus usa os profetas para dar sinais e falar com eles por meio dos sonhos proféticos. Acredito que LOST usa os sonhos do Sr. Eko da mesma forma.
    Abaixo alguns exemplos:
    👉🏾Já no primeiro livro da Bíblia, no Gênesis, lemos como José do Egito interpretou os sonhos do Faraó que eram profecias referentes a sete anos de fartura, mas também a sete anos de fome. Foi a partir desses sonhos proféticos que Deus conseguiu salvar seu povo da fome, principalmente os familiares de José, que depois de muito tempo descobriram que ele ainda estava vivo.
    👉🏾Outro exemplo foi o sonho de Mardoqueu, pai adotivo de Ester, que era uma profecia sobre a grande perseguição que se levantaria contra o povo eleito pela mão de Amã, e posteriormente o socorro de Deus que viria pela intercessão de Ester ao Rei Assuero
    👉🏾Já o livro de Daniel, por sua vez, traz inúmeros exemplos de sonhos proféticos, mostrando como Deus intervém na vida de seus amigos de forma providencial.
    👉🏾Em muitos sonhos, Deus pode alertar sobre algo, como quando apareceu a Labão, o Arameu e o mandou evitar dizer algo a Jacó.
    Sobre o episódio "?":
    Este episódio marca a morte da personagem principal Libby, originalmente considerada morta no episódio anterior. Ela foi a quarta personagem principal a morrer na série até agora (os outros foram Boone Carlyle (interpretado por Ian Somerhalder), Shannon Rutherford (interpretada por Maggie Grace) e Ana Lucia Cortez (interpretada por Michelle Rodriguez).
    Curiosidade:
    Darren Aronofsky estava escalado para dirigir o episódio, mas recusou depois que sua esposa Rachel Weisz engravidou, sendo substituído por Deran Sarafian. Os escritores Damon Lindelof e Carlton Cuse chamaram o episódio de "uma grande oportunidade para finalmente colocar Locke e Mr. Eko juntos, uma espécie de batalha filosófica de fé e vontade que temos sugerido durante toda a temporada".
    See you in other episode, brotha!
    Namaste!

    • @reatores
      @reatores  Год назад +1

      Muitas curiosidades legais, mais uma vez, obrigado!
      Pois é, essa coisa dos sonhos "proféticos", ou mesmo do sonho ser um aviso, uma comunicação... acho super pertinente em Lost, pois uma coisa q a série sempre fez foi trazer elementos sobrenaturais, então por que não algo que também se refira às escrituras né? Ainda mais sendo Eko um padre.
      Só um pedido, vc pode editar o comentário e tirar o nome Jacob? Ou então colocar um aviso de spoiler no começo. Sei que eles nunca saberiam do que se trata, mas é melhor que nem vejam nada.

    WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!!
    Ok, please don't read this if you haven't watched the whole show. I believe the only way the psychic was really a fraud has to be that someone paying him to put Claire on the plane. Because he's very very convincing in Claire's flashbacks in the 1st season, especially paying Claire money as you said. I understand it might be a show to refuse to make her reading and refund the money to make his methods convincing, BUT paying her more money and buying her ticket wouldn't make sense unless either someone else was paying him more or he was a genuine concerned psychic. I'm not naming a name who might be paying him but I'm sure you might have ideas who could have wanted Claire on that flight and on the island. Plus, if the psychic is a fraud and let's say he doesn't know shit about the island and can't make any readings at all, and let's say he's getting some couple's money from LA to send a pregnant lady for adoption there. Why would he insist it has to be that exact flight? Why can't it be another flight on the next day? Why would it matter? So, it's obvious that someone (either psychic himself or someone else using the psyhcic) knows that the plane will crash and wants Claire (and the baby) on that flight and on the island. That is as clear as day to me.
    The other part that weirds me out that psychic's daughter claims to see Yemi in between places. If we go for the logical way and not believe she really died and came back and really talked to Yemi on the other side; she might be working along with her father (and maybe mother) and maybe they're not a family at all and just all pretending. That could also be someone's play (using the psychic) to delay Eko's flight to USA (he was about to go to USA before the miracle duty came) and put him on the Oceanic 815 and also affecting his choices on the Island by making him believe Yemi really sent him a message. Maybe he would act differently on the Island if he didn't get that massage. This is pure speculation, of course. Just throwing ideas. I'm kinda disappointed that psychic's story wasn't made more clear and they could do that easily by just adding a 20 second scene in somewhere showing psychic next to someone cruicial in some scene, etc...

      Wow, that's a hell of an idea there. I think she really was between places and saw Yemi. But being Lost, no card is off the table. And hey, sometimes Gabi's questionings make me think of you. She's really not satisfied by the uncertainty of things. I love that.

      @@reatores Haha, yeah I love that she's very dedicated to take all the information in, paying attention, searching for clues, etc and I like she really needs clarification. Those are all quite similar for two of us but the difference between me and her is probably that I was really enjoying being surprised, confused and intrigued by these earlier seasons because I somehow totally believed I'll be satisfied with the answers later but she seems to be very anxious and impatient that she's not gonna get those answers quickly. At the time, I didn't care the answers weren't coming early and I enjoyed all the thinking and theorizing. I guess the difference is; when it's not an ongoing show she can't have much of those enjoyable conversations and theorizing eperiences as much as we had at the time. I mean you four are having some good conversations but they're short and right after the episode before any thinking time and she has only 2 people to do that even if she's seeing them in between your recording sessions. We had many friends and all the internet for that.

      Maybe it's more frustrating when the future episodes and the answers are there but you can't watch them, compared to not having anything to do other than thinking, online reading, re-watching and theorizing. But, I think she'll start to relax a little bit in the near future and enjoy more because LOST does that. I hope you tell her what I said in one of my earlier comments about enjoying the journey. It's really a once in a timelife experience and she's gonna be happy she did this in the long term no matter what :) And I know this might be a spoiler-ish territory but when my newbie friends are too anxious this early on, I sometimes tell them (besides my other comment) something along the lines "you've seen nothing, the real LOST experience haven't really started at all, we didn''t even dip our toes yet" and they can't believe their ears and this gives them much more motivation to go on :D You can use that trick if you want :)

      Haha, yes, I'll try that too, thanks. What you said above about having only 2 friends to talk about Lost, while we had lots of them and the Internet, I guess that really makes a difference.
      And they've all said that if they weren't doing this journey here, they would have been binging it like crazy (which I'm glad the channel prevented them from). So, yeah, sometimes they may get anxious or frustrated, but I'm sure they're all loving the experience in their own way.

      @@reatores I'd definitely binge too if I had the chance, but later I've learned that binging takes away all the emotions because you don't let yourself feel them, and sink everything in. Then a binged show becomes that inmemorable thing you watched once and mostly forgot. Only very few moments stay with you. It also doesn't matter if it's a mystery, a thriller or a drama, the effect is the same. It almost turns into watching some insignificant moving pictures that you've seen if you don't let yourself feel anyting. It happened to me for Breaking Bad's amazing finale season. I couldn't help mindlessly binging it out of curiosity and I couldn't feel much of that deep emotions. I remember thinking like this last season isn't really that good compared to earlier seasons which was far from the truth. Later, I've rewatched the show and I couldn't believe I've thought about that for probably the best season of the show. I realized the feelings weren't coming because I was already watching the next episode at the time I was supposed to feel them or build a base for what's coming.
