Did she? Later on in this season JR humiliated her when she thought she could barge in and take John Ross. Not once but twice. The first time he sent her on a wild goose chase and then then had the sheriff escort her off Southfork. He said, you have 2 minutes to get off my ranch. If you don't leave now...the sherrif will escort you off. The 2nd time he voided her court order with his own court order. Sue Ellen not bring very bright failed to realise that her court order was signed in Dallas. JR had one signed in Braddock County where John Ross was residing giving JR custody for 30 days. He then had her kicked off Southfork. He said escort this lady off the premises please'. She tried to have him arrested. He just tore up her court order and said I don't think you'll have to when attempted to be arrested. This is a court order that over-rules your court order.

One of the ideas for the next season was that J.R. was going to mellow out and Sue Ellen would have become more of a villain. I think Linda Gray could have pulled off the latter.
While I admired that Sue Ellen had become strong enough and smart enough to outfox JR at his own games this season; Oh how I hated that they broke them up in this season. Because how awesome it could have been to make them a powercouple to team up to take out WestStar in the next season. Season 11 (88-89) would have been SOOOO wonderful with them as a powercouple. Breaking them up in season 10 basically put the nail in the coffin for this show.
JR was such a dirty creep and the worst bastard ever, but he was my favorite one and without him, Dallas would have never been that great and exciting serie !
I said it before, I'll say it again. Season 10, 1987-88, was decent, considering the losses of Pamela and Donna. But what could've been had they both remained on the show. It's next season,11 (1988-89), that things really start to go downhill for good. When Sue Ellen finally bails, I was a goner too.
I agree 100%. I thought season 10 was pretty good. Seeing Bobby and Pam get remarried, the West Parmalee claiming to be Jock Ewings story line, and don't forget BD Calhoun, a terrorist. Jr tried to sneakingly strike a deal with, almost costing him his life and his son's

As clever as Sue Ellen became, there was still occasions where JR remained far too clever. One example was when she obtained a court order to get custody of John Ross. She had it signed in Dallas. However what she failed to factor in that JR didn't reside in Dallas, he resided in Braddock County. He overturned her court order with his own court order based on jurisdiction. It was legal and above board. He obtained a 30 day review period. The other scene was when he had her looking around the house for John Ross and he wasn't there. She said where's my son! He said where you can't get him. She then said, you bastard, you're trying to turn my son against me. He said you've tqo minutes to get off my ranch. JR was shot by his sister in law Kristin (played by Mary Crosby). But why did she shoot him. If anyone here on YT knows please share it with the rest of us.
Kristin was trying to blackmail JR because she was pregnant with his child. JR had also, at one point, promised to divorce Suellen and marry her. When JR reneged on the affair, (after Suellen found out and the blackmail became pointless) Kristen shot him and tried to pin it on Suellen. Or something like that. Lol!
JR threatened to have her arrested for prostitution unless she left Dallas. He also threatened Alan Beam with made up rape charges unless he left. Both along with Cliff Barnes and Vaughn Leeland and Sue Ellen wanted to shoot him.
The Catechism Of The Catholic Church 2380: Adultery refers to marital infidelity. When two partners,of whom at least one have sexual relations, even transient ones, they commit adultery. Christ condemns even adultery of mere desire. Both the Sixth Commandment and the New Testament forbid adultery absolutely. The prophets denounce the gravity of adultery;they see it as an image of the sin of idolatry.
