Although they most certainly didn't start out as friends, it was so very inspiring to see Sue Ellen and Pam become friends as the series progressed, with each being there for the other. As problems mounted in their lives or with their men or with their family situations, or JR's machinations, these two remained steadfast friends for quite some time. I loved how Pam "kidnapped" John Ross a few seasons earlier giving him to Sue Ellen and new found safety on the Southern Cross Ranch. Other women came and went - many becoming obstacles in their lives but these two were unique friends during the hey days of continuing dramas. Well done Ms. Gray and Ms. Principal.
@@carlodonn8983 --Yes....agreed. This was the start of assassination of the show's quality in writing and characters. I really can't watch the last 4 seasons.
Loved Dallas!!!!! I wish it was on tv....I would always wait until it would come on... There is nothing like the good old show's, like Dynasty!!!! Bring them back in reruns!!! We all will be watching....
BD Calhoun is the best minor character in Dallas. He was one of the rarest enemies of JR'S who kept JR in fear. Hunter Von Leer is a great actor and It is a shame that he never got an award at Holywood oscar Gala at least for the best minor character in Dallas or for his other performances for example in under the Boardwalk As Midos.
"Did you spend the night in your car too, in the back seat?" Great line by Sue Ellen. It's a shame tv will never be great like this again. Back then, there was only a handful of networks but that made the quality of the shows better. I won't say every night of the week there was a great show on but darn close to it.
Thanks for the upload !? Nice to see that the Ewing's didn't just assume that Sue Ellen had been drinking !!! She STILL looks good for a woman that was blown to bits !! 🤣🤣
Hunter von Leer was so gorgeous back in those days. He is my favorite character actor. He retired from acting in 2003 and lives in his native Indiana. He seems to be a very private person. Can't find much information about him.
Oh that JR with his comments! But Sue Ellen could give it right back to him! I'm surprised JR didn't utter his famous line that he said more than once....'S'ellen yur a drink....an an unfit mother...why dontcha git outta Dallas!" LOL
This is when the show was well into its free fall; its irreversible death spiral. Compare the fearful, quaking J.R. in this scene to the seemingly omnipotent J.R. in the following scene: ruclips.net/video/SESQV540V70/видео.html. The contrast between the two scenes, ironically, describes the inexplicable. That is, the two scenes describe the show’s downfall while, at once, fail to describe the indescribable: J.R.’s metamorphosis into an anemic, powerless character.

That's why I always thought it bad writing when sue Allen barley mentioned pam when she had her accident then went missing .

I've always liked the way Sue-Ellen walked.
Wow Linda Gray played Sue Ellen to the T. Great memories and times !!!
Poor Sue Ellen has so much crap happen to her!!! 🙄
It seems like the writers were always playing with her, in drinking scenes.
But Linda in defense of her, always did say, that she told the writers, no more, she had it with the drinking scenes, she wanted to move on from that.
Being married to J.R. would make any woman drink. Anyway, I really miss this show I want to track down the complete season on DVD.
Aww...Poor Sue Ellen! They all felt real bad for her. No wonder the writers got Ms. Gray's character to be drugged.

Him and Larry Hagman were actually great friends, which is probably how he appeared on the show.
@@henryoil yes I heard that and there is a photo about them and also a picture were taken of him and Larry’s daughter. He is a great actor anyway.
I LOVED him in 1981's Halloween 2 !!
And the award for best minor character goes to….
Seriously lol…

IALWAYS Watch DALLAS When it was on Tv ! ILOVED this movie! I Was born and rise in Dallas Texas!❤Love ❤❤❤ ROXANNA! GodBless ya all! 🙏❣️🥰🤩🎧🎄🎸🎶🎵🎁🎧🕊💝👼
This is highly unrealistic on fairness. Sue Ellen took a sip or two of the drugged coffee and she went down like a sack of potatoes.

I love this season! It never let up! It would've been a good season too end the series with the way it ended.
Typical JR. Accusing her of drinking when she was drugged by Calhoun.
Her coffee was spiked with a substance of some kind
The one time sue Ellen passed out without the use of alcohol.
I enjoy the short clips from the original Dallas series. Do you also have complete episodes?
JR - Callahun i'm resl sorry about what happened! CALLAHUN - Oh u will be! Were gonna make ur punishment fit ur crime!!!
Now I'm gonna have my way with her!
She's got a body
Awful, pointless storyline that greatly underserved all actors involved.
