What an exciting trip! Reminded me of the trips my family took back in the 60’s. We loaded up my parents and 5 kids in a pickup with a camper and took off. We camped and sometimes stayed in a motel while driving all thru the Western half of the US! Great times!!

I loved the summer series!! I love Colorado even though I too have a horrible fear of heights. Thank you for taking us along so that we could have a touch of your wonderful journey in the midst of this excruciating Texas summer. If you go back to Colorado, I highly recommend the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge train ride. You can also book different excursions from the train like ziplining, horseback riding, and hiking. Looking forward to see what DIYs you'll be doing next, but the summer series was a wonderful treat. Thank you and welcome back to the Texas convection oven!

I remember visiting this falls. This is where I missed the entrance and slowed down enough to back up through the exit to get back in. 🤣

Random comment about building stuff, not at all related to the trips. Since you folks already have a fireplace this MAY be redundant but maybe something to consider for a friends build or just a furniture flip, a TV console with a built in electric fireplace. Been considering doing one myself for some time.
