Displays on older batches of 473s developed a fading issue. Jeremy See advised in a RUclips video that Yamaha located and corrected the cause. Displays on newer batches are fine. Jeremy also stated that Yamaha will cover repairs to any 473 with a defective display even if the warranty has expired. 🙂
@@Ron78999 There have been a couple of 425s that developed problems with the display. Those could have been "one offs". But, as noted, the issue has been with early batches of the 473.

liked it even without the classic midi connection. Yes, I play by ear.
Don't buy this has an issue with the display ,I cannot see anything on mine , keyboard not older than a year.
