Allen Edmonds 5th Street Natural Shell Cordovan CUSTOMIZATION!

- These Allen Edmonds are the 5th Street Boots from there Trunk show. They started out Natural Shell cordovan. I had a vision on how I would like to have them re-done "My Way".
So I tore them down to just the uppers, dyed them (if you can call it that, LOL) My friend did the Horween Stamp. I added black split welt, 3 ribbed shank, leather mid soles, It'shide soles, leather heel base, matching heel, silver eyelets and stud speed hooks. Left the edges a lighter color for a cool contrast. So now I have my vision come alive and I'm very happy. /Allen Edmonds customization/ Хобби
Steve, I don't think you asked to subscribe too many times, at all. People are just mean. You are one of the only RUclipsrs that I watch every single video. I love your videos, man. I have also learned so much, and gained an appreciation for any leather product. Keep doing what you are doing. Thank you, my friend.
Agree…. Every. Single. One.
Every YT Channel requests to give a thumbs up and subscribe. What the feck is the big deal?
I'm so fed up with the Karen's. Don't like something? Don't read, or watch it. Be grown up enough to either enjoy the content or move the feck on.
The thumbs down people are the same weirdos that like the videos in fast-forward music and no talking. I can't stand that kind of content over and over. I know from time to time it is done because you just want a change of pace or so busy. You just want to get a video out, but every video, no thanks. Amazing boots, thanks for taking us along.
You should get a parrot Steve!!!! That would be so cool!!!!!
A parrot that says “Let’s continue.”
I wasn’t aware Zeus passed. My sincerest condolences. We have lost a dog every year the last three years. While I understand your grief and reluctance to invite that loss back into your life, I’m reminded of the song “the Dance”, and despite the pain of that loss it was totally worth the dance for us and we have plenty of love to give a new pup many times over. We decided to get a puppy after our last boy passed. We could never replace any of them and they each will forever live in our hearts but we can provide an excellent life for future generations and have chosen to do so. I wish you the best whatever your path and I imagine you too can give a wonderful life to more generations of pups if you decide that path.
Zues didn’t die we just re-homed him. But I hear ya
I’m sorry to have assumed. Either way, I know your personality well enough to recognize you gave your all. Wish you well my friend.
Beyond masterful! The world needs more people like you. Passionate about a craft and willing to do the work. Not just about the money grab. Love your videos.
I think these are interesting and I don’t see why men’s footwear can’t be far more imaginative than it is. Good job!
Absolutely! The sneaker world is unlimited in bizarre structures, colours and shapes, why shouldn't there be "real" shoes after the imagination of an artist (or the wearer).
He is gentle and friendly and loves his job like an angel. I wish him good health!
“Sometimes I get lucky”. You crack me up Steve. One of the finest craftsmen on RUclips!
Your videos of your own boots are my favorite! Especially when they're all beat up, but this one is good too
They definitely are unique now, reminds me of those multicolored boots you did some time back with the JR/Vibram ice soles.
Lovely. The birds were wonderful, what a song he played for all of us. Nice work too! Thanks
Good Evening Steve 🙋🏽. This was a beautiful Job ‼️ simply Beautiful ❤️
I love working while birds are singing. It really makes for an enjoyable day. I’ve even had wild birds come visit regularly, and they like to interact. Talk or whistle to them. Not over their singing. In between. They just might become a friend.
I love listening to the birds it’s so relaxing and calming
This video has all the best Steve moments! We have a gorgeous shoe, bird song in the morning, a cool dye job, sewing a welt, AND hammer time! I think the shoes are terrific, and you need to show us when you are out wearing them in style (photo op!). Thanks for putting together another video for us! Let’s continue….. 👍😊❤️
Every time I watch these videos I have the urge to watch The Cobbler.
Hey , Steve O that table stand , looks like a Dallas Cowboys emblem that's on my Cap . Excellent work Steve. Have a nice Day
Wow, wow and wow again.
Those Boots were just in cosmetic surgery with Surgeon Steve.
Let's face it and be honest here, they are above and beyond what they were before. Would I pay €700 for the boots? No. Would I pay $700 for them now? In a heartbeat!
In the natural daylight they look amazing Steve, and the soles? Solidly constructed. The heels? Class. The stitching? Lucky! All in all a beautiful boot. You are the cobbler version of a Hollywood plastic surgeon. You take something that is ugly chop off the fat and excess filler, reconstruct the missing parts with better and stronger materials, then condition and colour the finished item.
❤
Nice story on the tree and your demand to equality, the job on the boots amazing as always 👍🏼👏🏼👌
Top notch craftmanship ! Idk how come there are no youngster that want to take up the trade. I for one would pay just to hang around your shop with you, have some of that fine coffee of yours. i must settle on watching you videos though because I'm on the other part of the world
Steve, whoa whoa whoa! You take a pair of OG AE boots and make them a pair of boots that AE WISHES they could make! Bravo bravo bravo sir! Mad respect to you and your skills!
It's astonishing how much I have learned about shoe-crafting/repairing just be watching your videos. NOW I know why shoe-crafters use a hammer so much. All my adult life I have worn Allen-Edmonds and Alden shoes, my preference being Alden--but they have gotten so darn expensive. Believe it or not, I paid $200 for my first pair of Alden shell cordovan oxfords back in 1981. Of course, I got 24 years use out of them until the leather started tearing beyond repair. I bought my second pair of Alden Shell cordovan oxfords in 2005 for $500. I'm certain I won't by a third because I'll die before a I need them. Thank you for the education.
Some times you get lucky?
Gary Player used to say: "The more I practice, the luckier I get".
Another great upload Steve!
Tree? Yeah, get it in writing! The shoes turned out nice. Wasn’t sure in the beginning but once you put the soles on that really topped them off. Nice job.
Good morning Steve other proyect for The Wonderfull time ,in coffe time Your NICE birds, HOME and matute ,so Wonderfull boots customized ,regards from Spain 🎩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Subscribed several years ago, watching you from Cyprus, and we drink the same coffee. Chef Andros.
I love all of your machines. As well I also love your humor. Oh, and HAMMER TIME is the best! Love the videos. Thank you so much for making them. 😊

Waaaauw that is art. Beautiful Steve. Keep up the good work 👍.
These shoes look like they're from another galaxy, then that stamp brings me right back to earth.
Nice job Steve! Some people think that subscribing to a channel means that they have to pay something. They don't understand.
I was skeptical at first but man those turned out amazing
😊 Just stopped the video at the beginning Steve. Have to have a coffee for this ! Totally looking forward to this transformation/operation.
Love the boots. Love your sense of humour as well😀
Excellent work man! You got balls taking brand new shell cordovan boots apart and deciding to just wing a marbled pattern!!! I commend you for it! You’re definitely a inspiration to the cobbler and leather community!🙌🏻
Steve, by far my top 3 best styled boot seen on your channel! AE made but Bedo perfected👌🏻
Absolutely gorgeous set of boots unbelievable job my man
Love them Steve. May you walk a million miles in them and then buy another pair. Hmm that saying from the old country loses something in translation. Well you get the meaning long life is wished you. Having my coffee and getting a dose of watching a master craftsman at work.
Love the tree story, and love a man who stands up for himself you are my hero.
You take such enjoyment in life Steve! Thanks for reminding me to slow down and enjoy!

Steve , I absolutely love how they turned out ! Very cool ! I also really enjoyed when you were working outside . It was amazing hearing the spring time birds ! I’m in Massachusetts so we are a little behind you in weather but the robins have been singing and the leaves are just starting to pop on the trees. What a beautiful time of year ! Thanks for sharing it with us !

The increase in quality with your videos has definitely gone up. Best in the business
Gorgeous outcome!
Very nice Joker boots. Love to see that you pay as much attention (if not more) to your customer's boots than to your own. Keep pushing the boundaries of the profession, you're an ambassador.
Steve another exceptional job!😊😊
The master at work! You're a true craftsman and I always look forward to your videos.
The finished product is amazing great work as usual
I enjoy every one of your videos, but this one has got to be one of my favorites! It shows not only can you fix and repair, but it shows some true artistry as well. I would love to see some more like this!
That patina finish is absolutely beautiful! Well done!

Love the boots & your videos!
A true master at his craft!!!
Great man , great job , great .attitude. Thank you.
I love what you did with the boots, and with the tree. Thanks Steve for the videos, they make my day. Really!! 🐤🐦
My backyard neighbor, who was our friend for 40 years stopped talking to us because she decided a tree on our property should come down because it was too close to her house and might fall on it. I had an arborist verify the health of the tree, but to no avail. She just wanted it down and I refused to cut down a perfectly healthy tree for no reason. You are lucky you had a neighbor willing to do the right thing.
Great tree story. I really enjoy when you share things about your past, and family history.
Wow Steve these are amazing!!
These look amazing!! Great job as usual.
Awesome boots. I really like them. So different.
I don't think you ask too many times for people to subscribe... We need to check every so often to make sure we are😊
Nice fun project. I like how they turned out. Good on you for holding the developer to the same rules you had to follow.
I love the finished product - much better than the original. Itshide still make those soles in a variety of colours. They do a “lite” version too. They call them “Britgrips”, because the pattern is based on the British Union Flag. You may recall I commented on Instagram that, despite being British, I couldn’t bring myself to wear them. Itshide do make good soles though. I have a pair of Carmina boots with their soles. They are a separate company to Dainite. Itshide are based in Northampton and are owned by Davies Odell.
Thank you, good info
I am planing on customize one of my leather bags…thank you so much for sharing….now I am more confident of what to expect…love your work.❤️❤️❤️
Gorgeous boots ❤
Hi and again very well done. The boots turned out beautifully. I hope you enjoy them and thanks for all the videos and the time you give to explain all the processes. Best of luck

As always, Great Job! You do some pretty awesome work!
Fifth Street boots in Shell Cordovan are top notch!!! These are now one of a kind! You got lucky with that Horween stamp on the side of your boot. Your die job looks great! Great work again, Steve!!
I think I enjoy your personality and humor as much as your amazing work and explanation of what and why you do thing. As a kid we had work/ school shoes and Sunday shoes I think part of enjoyment of your videos is seeing many different shoes and bags repair. My grandmother taught me to sew and I made a lot of Barbie clothes for my sister. Grandma taught us how to do all the chores she did she said we may have to do these things when we get older, she was right ! Best wishes and blessings
Steve your killing me with this work what a great customisation and the colours are fantastic that sole and heel finish this off beautifully ❤thanks Steve
Extremely creative young man.
Hi Steve! The individuality of things is the most important thing, in my opinion. Great job as always!
