  • These Allen Edmonds are the 5th Street Boots from there Trunk show. They started out Natural Shell cordovan. I had a vision on how I would like to have them re-done "My Way".
So I tore them down to just the uppers, dyed them (if you can call it that, LOL) My friend did the Horween Stamp. I added black split welt, 3 ribbed shank, leather mid soles, It'shide soles, leather heel base, matching heel, silver eyelets and stud speed hooks. Left the edges a lighter color for a cool contrast. So now I have my vision come alive and I'm very happy. /Allen Edmonds customization/

Steve, I don't think you asked to subscribe too many times, at all. People are just mean. You are one of the only RUclipsrs that I watch every single video. I love your videos, man. I have also learned so much, and gained an appreciation for any leather product. Keep doing what you are doing. Thank you, my friend.

Every YT Channel requests to give a thumbs up and subscribe. What the feck is the big deal?
I'm so fed up with the Karen's. Don't like something? Don't read, or watch it. Be grown up enough to either enjoy the content or move the feck on.

The thumbs down people are the same weirdos that like the videos in fast-forward music and no talking. I can't stand that kind of content over and over. I know from time to time it is done because you just want a change of pace or so busy. You just want to get a video out, but every video, no thanks. Amazing boots, thanks for taking us along.

I wasn’t aware Zeus passed. My sincerest condolences. We have lost a dog every year the last three years. While I understand your grief and reluctance to invite that loss back into your life, I’m reminded of the song “the Dance”, and despite the pain of that loss it was totally worth the dance for us and we have plenty of love to give a new pup many times over. We decided to get a puppy after our last boy passed. We could never replace any of them and they each will forever live in our hearts but we can provide an excellent life for future generations and have chosen to do so. I wish you the best whatever your path and I imagine you too can give a wonderful life to more generations of pups if you decide that path.

    Wow, wow and wow again.
Those Boots were just in cosmetic surgery with Surgeon Steve.
Let's face it and be honest here, they are above and beyond what they were before. Would I pay €700 for the boots? No. Would I pay $700 for them now? In a heartbeat!
In the natural daylight they look amazing Steve, and the soles? Solidly constructed. The heels? Class. The stitching? Lucky! All in all a beautiful boot. You are the cobbler version of a Hollywood plastic surgeon. You take something that is ugly chop off the fat and excess filler, reconstruct the missing parts with better and stronger materials, then condition and colour the finished item.

It's astonishing how much I have learned about shoe-crafting/repairing just be watching your videos. NOW I know why shoe-crafters use a hammer so much. All my adult life I have worn Allen-Edmonds and Alden shoes, my preference being Alden--but they have gotten so darn expensive. Believe it or not, I paid $200 for my first pair of Alden shell cordovan oxfords back in 1981. Of course, I got 24 years use out of them until the leather started tearing beyond repair. I bought my second pair of Alden Shell cordovan oxfords in 2005 for $500. I'm certain I won't by a third because I'll die before a I need them. Thank you for the education.

My backyard neighbor, who was our friend for 40 years stopped talking to us because she decided a tree on our property should come down because it was too close to her house and might fall on it. I had an arborist verify the health of the tree, but to no avail. She just wanted it down and I refused to cut down a perfectly healthy tree for no reason. You are lucky you had a neighbor willing to do the right thing.

I love the finished product - much better than the original. Itshide still make those soles in a variety of colours. They do a “lite” version too. They call them “Britgrips”, because the pattern is based on the British Union Flag. You may recall I commented on Instagram that, despite being British, I couldn’t bring myself to wear them. Itshide do make good soles though. I have a pair of Carmina boots with their soles. They are a separate company to Dainite. Itshide are based in Northampton and are owned by Davies Odell.
